Piper hit Malik in the arm in that way she did when he said something that was better not to be said. "No. And you're not going to either. I swear, some days I think I have two sons instead of one." Shaking her head lightly. "Oh that's alright A'mael, I'm drawing him to the cinnamon side." Elbowing him gently. "And you say you don't like sweet things. Do you know he has some of those stashed in his desk drawer?" A little chuckle at that. "He cooks rather well, actually."
He tugged at Kieran's hand. "I can cook too, daddy showed me how." Because if accomplishments were being mentioned, he like his father, wanted to be acknowledged for such things. And he awalys got smiles too.
"Ah yes, the random squabbles of having children." None of it surprised him much, after all considering who Malik was and where he came from, it made sense that he started things early with the boy. A chuckle. "Really now, when Pip was his age I was still chasing her around trying to keep her out of all the things that she wanted to get in." A shake of his head. "Sounds like things have been a lot more fun around here than they have been in Andal."
And Galesen's shoulder became her pillow, althugh a little awkwardly as she was trying to avoid injuries. One could already see red marks that were darkening to a light lavender hue starting. By the morning she'd was seriously going to be all black and blue. "Sailing? Sounds like a good plan...that is if you aren't going to be embarassed to be seen with me, I'll be all different colors."
He blinked at her for a moment. "A good thing?" He didn't understand it as a good thing. After all, he'd rather just avoid it all and get on with his life. And Zykariel didn't need to think that he had to go search out everyone that upset him and pumble them. But his attention turned back to her own answer to his question. "Oh."
He looked away a moment, perhaps contemplating. "It makes sense...I was just asking because he asked me about it. He thought you were just saying it because it was what he wanted to hear. I guess he was right...then again he is rather smart. But don't worry, he's not angry about that...has full faith that you'll learn about it just fine."

The elf blinked a few times when he felt something resting on his shoulder, when he looked to see what was going on he smiled lightly when he saw Isle using him as a sort of pillow. "Is the pillow everything to your liking?" He asked with a small chuckle as he brushed some of her hair away from her face before letting his finger trail down her cheek. "I wont be embarrassed, you'll look good tomorrow beautiful trust me and I wont mind if you are purple and green really." A small chuckle when he thought of that and he shook his head, his finger still on her cheek.

"Yes it's a good thing. After all, that means you've pulled out of the mindset you were locked into with your sisters and the old life. You are outraged because a little group of wannabes laid you low when you could have beaten them with no problem. Nothing wrong with wanting revenge, Sev. I was denied mine. If you want yours, go out there and take it. They certainly deserve, especially the b***h who tried to do...things." She wasn't really sure what to say since she wasn't at all convinced that she could learn to love. "Do you think that's possible?" Glancing up, she met his gaze, hers full of uncertainty. "I mean...do you believe drow...like us...can love?"

A grin though at his son.
"Yes, you helped quite nicely in getting that dinner made. why don't you show your grandpa, if your up to it, what you learned today in your magic class?"

She would have poked him in the side if she could feel her hand. But she couldn't so he was spared the poking of the moment. "Well, you have a nicely muscled shoulder from all that sword play and such, so it's not too bad, though everything hurts right now do I can't really be too comfortable now can I?" But another chukle from her. "You're just saying that. I'm sure you'll change your mind tomorrow."
He looked away from her some at the mention of his sisters and old life and such and the mention of one woman whom he really wants to just hurt. But he still didn't like that feeling. But a look back to her, letting her eyes hold his own for the moment as he considered the question. "It has to be, or else we'd be extinct by now don't you think?" And he gave her a lopsided grin. "And hey, if Malik can do it we certinally can. I'd say he gives a good example. Can't be that hard." A chuckle to that turned into a cough.
And Kieran was duely dragged a little ways off. After all he needed room now didn't he. "I learned two things, but I can only do one because I have to read my book first I think to be able to do the other one." And thusly he looked at his book before handing it to his grandfather. "Here you gotta hold this I need my hands." And once it was passed off he toddled off a few steps.
Thus going through the steps he knew he has to do to get this going. Closing his eyes and such and getting that magic of his flowing, before making it do what he wanted and then look, there were two of him. An excited look to Kieran and then to his copy. "Look! Two of me!"
Kieran watched with interest, though of course he had to take a breif look at the book in his hand, but he couldn't read what was in it of course. Eyes turned back to the child and he just had to laugh at that one. "A doppleganger." Oh that was too highly amusing now wasn't it. He could imagine the trouble the boy would cause. "And what's the other thing you learned but can't do till you read?"
"Um...it's where I can make myself look like someone else, but I gotta know a bunch of stuff about them first. It's really neat looking." A look at himself again, oh that was just so neat.
Piper dropped her head into her hand. "Oh I see that happening to me far too much in the future." Shaking her head lightly...he seemed to be able to get that little trick too fast for her own liking. "And he's already tranced out once...he's never going to go down tonight." Piper turned a fond look to her husband giving a soft chuckle. "You sure he has to grow up?"

She wasn't completely sure though and she merely averted her eyes. "I suppose." Wasn't very convincing. After all, Malik had Piper to teach him. Who did she have? Nobody. Sevilin knew no more about it than she did. She wanted to say that you could certainly have love without sex but wasn't sure that would be the best sort of comment to make. She traced the points of her gloves and nodded. "All I can do is try, right? Hopefully that will be enough for him. If not...well I guess he'll go through his life disappointed then won't he?"

Arthur closed his eyes half way and smiled lightly when she commented on his shoulder and chuckled just a little bit. "Well thanks that means a lot, though now you know that if you ever want to face Malik you must understand that you'll be receiving bruises...though you already did so I can't say anything now can I?" He said and shook his head before he very carefully rested it on hers. Though he grinned lightly and sighed a bit. "No I wont, your just the same beautiful elf that I've been with for the past little while." He pulled his hand away from her face and rested it on top of her own hand, resting it there as he stared out to the open arena.

"Yeah." His smile dropped as her eyes did and he looked the other way as well. Maybe she wasn't ready as she said she was. Then again she didn't have to love Zykariel to be his mother, merely love on him. There was a difference and Sevilin knew that much. "No, he won't be disappoined...you'll be giving him what he wants, even if you're just saying it to make him happy...he'll be happy. That's the important part." He coughed again, this time covering his mouth and exaiming the little blood spots on his palm when he pulled it away. "I know I love him, Piper loves both Malik and Malikhai...I guess you could learn through observation if you really wanted to."
"Oh I figured I'd get some...just not that he'd literally take me so seriously. He does have some fine little tricks." Giving a little laugh as usual and then a little sigh, feeling him shift and rest his head on hers, as well as his hand on her own. "Are you going to grab Kieran later and talk to him about your eye thing?"

She watched him cough and study it out of the corner of her eye and she knew there was blood on his hand. Standing, she made her way into the bathroom and filled a glass with cool water then dumped a bit of salt and a bit of powder into it. Walking back out, she set it on the nightstand then took his hand and washed the blood off before handing him the glass. "Here, it will sting but it will also help." Wiping her hands on her skirt, she retook her seat adn sighed. "I'm just afraid, I guess. I'm afraid that one day he's going to look at me and wonder why he ever wanted me to be his mother in the first place. Not that he got a choice...it was his own bad luck..." She shook her head. "He would have been better off with someone like Piper." Then meeting his eyes again. "You both would have."

He turned his attention back to her for a moment as she got up and he expected her to come back looking upset with him. But she merely wiped the blood off of his hand and then gave him the glass. Oh well, bottoms up. Knowing that it was already going to taste bad, he downed at least half of what was in the glass...though with a cringe so bad he closed his eyes as well. Oh that was beyond stinging.
Taking a moment to recover himself he took a breath, merely holding the rest of the concotion in the glass for right now. "Fear is good...makes us realize things. If I wasn't scared I don't think I would of ever became a rune mage." Staring at his glass a moment, perhaps trying to catch his reflection in the liquid. "When he says he wants you like Piper...he merely means he wants you to care for him like she does Malikhai, not that he wants you to be her in everyway." Then a lopsided grin before looking back to her. "And me...well I need someone to yell at me. Call it old habit or that I just don't listen to myself when it's best and someone needs to yell at me. Like eating and such. But, Zykariel needs Zahara, he needs you, and I need you too." A shake of his head slightly.

Arthur made a small grunting noise which meant that he actually agreed with what she said about Malik. "Yes he does...and he probably only used a few of them on me...I don't know what else he can do yet and I hope I don't have to find out the hard way." A small chuckle to that as he looked down at her for a moment before staring off to no where again. "Soon, he's just occupied by everyone else that I wont be able to get a few words in without everyone bugging me about it...since it's a bit of a personal issue." He really didn't want to be bothered about going up to the surface, he'll worry about that later.

She watched him cringe and winced in sympathy, she well knew how much salt hurt when put on a wound. But it was an age old method of keeping it clean and infection down. Too much went down his throat for her not to be concerned. Listening to him she felt something unfurl and take root deep inside her and a poignant warmth bloomed in her belly. She gave him a smile to match his own and chuckled softly, ducking her head in embarrassment then shook it and met his gaze again. His words sent that warmth racing to every extremity in her body and her eyes turned to liquid amethyst before his gaze. "Thank you, Sevilin," before reaching up and wrapping her arms around his neck. "Thank you for saying that," she whispered softly against his ear.

"Well..if you want I can try and fin a way to keep him young forever."
A grin at his wife.
"and that's the little stuff. wait until he learns mezmerization and charm spells..and so you know I'll be keeping my distance when he learns gravity flux."
then a small grin at her, and a kiss.
"He'll trance out. we'll just read him a story or something. even he doesn't have that much reserve."
then back over to Kieran.
"Yes, he's learning the Illusionist school..Sevilin's son is learning the Conjuration school. they are going to be quite a pair of hellions later in life. by then though I'll be sending them to grandpa's house to play."
Broog just listened and nodded and ate cookies and drank tea. tea parties were yummy. he'd have add these things to his usual reward list.

Okay...he was...being hugged? Yes? Yes, he was being hugged by Zahara. And apparently she was rather appreciative of that. Okay, this was a little awkward for him at first and he took a moment to get in gear. In proper return gesture he put his free arm around her and squeezed lightly in a hug. Though he did have to control the shiver that somewhat raced through his body at her being so close to his ear...damn ears. He'd blame the stuff he drank.
But he patted her back lightly a moment before just resting his arm on her back. "You're welcome...now if I could only say things like that when I needed to." Shaking his head lightly, turning it a little and raising his glass to drink down the rest of the hellish thing. Again, ow.
A slight shrug. "I could always just have another one when this one gets too big." Giving a chuckle at that though then a half worries half amused look as Malik listed things. "Oh gods...I'm going to just regret this discision, I know it. Couldn't stick to elements could he? No, our son wanted to do illusions. Trouble maker, I swear Malik D'vinn he's just like you." Giving a little chuckle, kissing him back and lacing an arm around his waist, fitting herself to his side. "Oh just wait till he does have that much, then it's going to be a whole other game." Yet a shake of her head at the mention of them being teenagers and such. "I like that idea, that's a good idea."
Kieran gave a chukle. "Illusionist hm? That's quite a choice." Watching the child as he was once again basking in the attention he was receiving. Though the news about Sevilin's own was intriguing too. "An illusionist and a conjuror...now there's a combination." But a blink and a raised eyebrow look over to Malik. "Oh so is that your plan of action? Careful, I'll end up playing with them too and then Fianna will have to bargin with the Crest Brigade and it'll just be a mess."
Of course his look turned to daddy. "I get to go to grandpa's when I'm older?" He was old enough to know Kieran lived someplace else that he couldn't go to right now for some reason, so that was an exciting thing to hear. But of course a look at his copy...whom he gave a push on and it disappeared...putting him back in the closet so to speak.

It was nice having contact like this. She'd always liked it just usually didn't take it for herself. But he didn't react badly either. Instead he hugged her back and she didn't miss the shiver that racked his body though she knew it had to do with her breath on his ear. She hadn't meant for that to happen, it just sort of...had. "That was...perfect." She released him and rubbed at his back lightly, knowing just how much that hurt him. It really upset her that she had to give him things that were going to hurt him but there was no other option. She took the empty glass from him and washed it out in the bathroom. With the water running and being away from him it gave her time to think. Everyone was downstairs, Zykariel was in reverie...what were they going to do now? And then it came to her. She dried the glass and set it back on the sink then walked back into his room and reached into his bedside table for the deck of cards she'd stashed that at some point or another. "I've got a solution that will get rid of your revenge urges. At least for now." Holding up the cards she grinned, "Slap Jack. Ever played?"
Lharika stared at Broog for a long moment and shook her head. "You don't know what music is? Or dance? Malik is really not taking the best care of you he possible can. Music can help you work better and it can make you happy when you want to cry and it's so much fun to dance to. Oh we have to dance. Come on Broog, stand up. We're going to dance!"
