"Yes I do. I never lived an Fayderwer...but being as they were elves of a different breed, and the blood fueds are so old as the orignal reason is all but forgotten. But still, an enemy is an enemy. and the more you know the better off you'll be. I know Freeport and Neriak like the back of my hand, and can slip easily in and out of both places. I crept through the aquaducts of Cabalis whiel I was stationed in teh Overthere..leave it to Ogres to name an outpost that..in order to make sure I could at least get in there if need be. Using the masks, I negotiated trades with the dwarves and gnomes...they nevr knew that it was Neriak thier shipments went to. The only city I never got into one way or another was Qeynos. Unlike Lucan's freeport, they took thier security very serious. I found in many places the mask simple didn't work. and the sewer system was the hide out of the bloodsabers..followers to the lord of decay, Bertoxxolus. so no safe travel through there, either."

A bit of thinking back.

"Qeynos and Freeport were opposing forces, and on opposing coasts of Antonica. Lucan was a tyrant, and bayle family rather pleasent monarchs I've heard. it was the Qeynosian's that gave the greater help to Highpass in teh battle of bloody kithcor."

Piper gave a laugh and looked to him with that sassy little attitude she got some times, pulling one leg up in her chair, resting her chin on her knee with one arm about her leg to hold it up, her other hand tugging at her collar. "Would you like to draw him a map too Malik?" Though boy wasn't he enjoying this. And that was what made it cute in her opinion really. Piper actually couldn't be happier that her father and her fiance' were taking to each other so well. Gave her a sense of having both her past and present without all the horrible aspects to it all. Gods she loved that Tier'Dal.

"Well as they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. No doubt the trait of a good warrior. Though I believe that warrior trait is quite pronounced in much that you do anyway." A nod for no particular reason other than to just do it. "Keen mind, keen eye, and keen ways." Yes, he thought highly of Malik indeed and was quite content with the thought of him marrying his daughter...better than Kaden on more than one level. He never liked Kaden really. "I can see that this war on ours is in good hands."

A smirk at Piper's smartass comment.

"In fact, Piper, I have maps in the lower vault. maps, trinkets, old outfits from various places. the sword I used at Bloody Kithcor...pegasus feathered cloak, most of the masks, the fang of feratha..lots of magical items. my armor's breastplate was taken from the Shissar temple. it's name was the Breastplate of the Void. can cloak my body in a cold air that actually can cause pain to an enemy. weapon strike the armor, and a shock of cold travels to the enemy. not so good on elves, obviously, but great against those that feel that kind of change. the helm of raldukan, that allows me to see the invisible. gauntlets of the titan, imbued to increase strength. most all need a command word to activate, and I try not to use them unless I really have to. keep cards up my sleeve, so to speak."

A chuckle.

"Even your chainmail, Piper, is imbuded. made more durable than even mythril normally is. I've seen some bows that cause the arrows shot from them to deliver electrical jolts, or fire or ice. I may have one, I'm not sure. if I do it's in the vault. and I have two items for inceasing ones speed. the flowing black silk sash, and the cloak of flames. personally I prefer teh use the sash, it goes with my outfits better."

Another chuckle, time to pick at him some more. "A pack rat of an elf and knows his fashion sense. Boy wasn't I lucky to catch the good one in the bunch and have him all to myself." Yes indeed Malik was quite the proud elf, but that was one of his qualities that she was drawn to really. Pride no matter what the circumstance and also something she lacked herself really. Though she gave a rather cute smirk. "Bows to do that to your arrows? If you need a special bow to make that happen, then you might as well be shooting with regular equipment." Yes, like any elf, she knew her magic...she just didn't use it a lot, but the knowledge was there her father had trained her into it, and her mother the application of it to her own weaponry. "I'd suggest you go through your junk and see what really is useful anymore, but I know you, you love your stuffs."

They were entirely too refreshing to be around really. The way they picked and prodded at each other, looking to best one another or cause a reaction from the other. Ruffle feathers in a loving way. Good to see his daughter happy as opposed to being miserable with someone else. "You call him a pack rat, I call him well stocked. Who knows...he could have something stored away that could bring about the end or beginning of a plane. Or something simple as rock to throw at someone and knock them off their mount." Ah yes, the rock trick. "I have to say Malik I'm quite impressed."

"Only because you're a pack rat too."

His attention was suddenly caught by the charcole flickerinfs on the human hide. He walked up to the skin, ran a hand over it once. Then he turned back to his little hostage, looking as if he might click his heals.

"Look at this, Meilikki! More wodnerful things are happening. Far more interesting than these two." He waved a hand vagualy.

Meilikki said nothing, only continued tostar.

He chuckled, and settled himself to watch the drama.

Onyx did not miss. But he didn't get far enough either. The most Moosntone got was a painful deflection as he veered off to the left. He fell to his knees, coughing. The color of his eyes was quite back to normal. One hand on his thoat, the other on his forhead, he moaned between coughs. "My head hurst..."

He looked back to see Onyx still wrapped up in the snake, but didn't understand why....

Esmeralda got a large chill up her spine, as if something in her magic chilled her to the core. She turn to see that Moonstone was now back to normal but she could not take anymore chances with Onyx, who was a brawler, "My dear cousin Onyx, if I release will you not kill your bother?" she said in a calm but emotionless voice. She then turned to Moonstone with that same emotionless voice. "And if you move to attack him, my binding spell wil be the least of your problems my gorgeous young vah." she said as her snakes loosened there grip on the black Vah.

"I won't kill him."

Once he got loose, he got himself up in a crouch, checking his wings and looking at the claws and bitemarks. damn he'd taken as well as he'd given, apparently.

"Maybe next time he'll listen when I tell him not to do something."

Malik wave a dismissive hand at piper.

"Being prepared and waiting a few more days is better than rushing off and not having something when you do need it."

Then a chuckle, and a grin to Keiran.

"I take it that's a trait from her mother's side of the family?"

Esmeralda placed her hands gently unto her hips, it was clear from her facial expresiion that she was still very mad at them for there foolish behaviour. But she was glad that they were both okay. "Would you mind explaning what you two were doing?" The folowing she directed mostly at Moonstone. "What got into you back there, you looked like my father picking a fight, to look macho. And here I thought you where the civil one." she said, with a slight tinge of annoyance in her voice.

Moonstone growled. Not because he was angry, but because his head was throbbing. He stayed where he was, not wanting to chance it.

"Do what?" He tasted blood on his teeth. "I don't remeber...." his claws were still out...He looked to Esmeralda a moment, before he had to close his eys again...

"We were fighting? What do you mean, like Father?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 01, 2005 7:21 pm

A little glare at him back for his little dismissive wave. "Yeah, like I don't hear it enough." And she crossed her arms on her knee, closing her eyes and looking away from them both. They were just ganging up on her now...figured that her father and Malik were quite alike in some ways.

"The leaping before looking? Yes. Fianna was very much the same way at her age...but don't worry it settles down after a while. At least in Fianna it did. Now the dear woman double checks everything. Maybe it will be the same with Pip." A grin from him as well. "You're in for quite the ride Malik...though I suppose you've experienced quite a good chunk of it with her."

Esmeralda walked over and placed a hand gently unto Moonstone's back. "Are you okay?" Esmeralda said as she slowly began to stroke his fur, "Anything that you can remember about the last twenty minutes or so?" she asked, the concern in her voice was obvious.

Tarathiel knocked upon the doors once more, smiling wickedly, as the guards were once agian dreaming wishfully of more pleasent things.

"Knock knock, welcome death into your room, D'Mitri."

"Remeber? I can't even think." The headach was starting to fade a bit, and he braved opening his eyes. His wings were limp, not even resting agianst his back, jst lying splayed out on the ground. He was physically drained, even though he hadn't be....well he supposed fighting...for very long.

"Laughing. I remeber luaghing."

Dimitri almost jumped out of his royal robes. "Let the...man in for heavens sake!" He yelled quit unneccesarily. A severant opened the door, and they made sure they hid behind said door as well.

Dimitri was surrouned by a semi-cirlce of soem of his best men, plus tow of his Crimosn Gaurd. There were about seven of them, including a dwarf slave, clad in nothing but a lion cloth, holding a long wooden staff with rings and bells on one end. The dwarf had an odd, far away look in his eye.

Esmeralda attempted to pick up the large Vah, but even with her great skills as a figther she wasn't physically strong enough to lift a man several times her sizes and build. "Look, I wasn't there for the laughing part, but from what I did see, it sounding like you were making fun of his spirits guide, since when do you two have those?" she said with a slight lift of her brow.

Tarathiel walked into the room, and looked at the semi circle. "Greetings again, king." Tarathiel smiled as he held his arms out to his sides, baiting the guards to attack him.

"Is that my staff, truly is it? I do not appricate lies." Tarathiel's smile faded. "It would be more troublesome to me if that were the false staff, and I had to go find it myself, than if the whole of your army aimed their arrows upon my brow." Thanks to you wizards' array of magical rings. The drow elf chuckled...

"Your map, I presume, you wish to see if it is false, I guess I should show you that it is not..." A hand flicked behind his back a pulled out a map in one smooth, yet strangely slow fasion. With a similar extension, the drow pulled out a foot long scroll. He unfurrled it to show the markings written in the common tongue of the monarchy. Clearly written was Deep Water on its island perch, with several other markings indicating the ruins of Wizen Tower with the note, Old Wizard's Towers, and Malik's manor clearly labled. With a flick of his wriste, he foiled it back up.

"Most people would try to cheat me at this point, but for such a low price would you not like to have the map as it is?"
