Most people find, the more touching, the better. And not everyone has sex to procreate. Many people just find the act pleasurable. Those that want the pleasure without the procreation use birth control devices.
As for what you're feeling...
Over the course of human evolution, humans have developed physiological reactions to member of the same gender. This is called attraction. Attraction may happen on multiple levels: physical, intellectual, emotional. We are programmed with these responses and they affect us, whether we desire to procreate or not. I think that you are beginning to sense them. Or perhaps, beginning to cease ignoring them.

Cora, if I had the answers to that, I'd be more than just a Romance Novelist.
You feel attraction. Your pulse quickens, you become flushed, your stomach may knot up. You want to be near that person more than anything else.
It sounds very biological. And it is, but there's a level beyond biology, and that's not so easy to explain.
I think when you feel it, you'll know it. It may take you some time, and we all make mistake, but you'll understand it better and better as you experience it.
