There's Daoin and Chanti that look like easy targets, and I suspect you'll be running into Morgan very soon.

No I'm confused.
Got off easy? I didn't think he'd done anything wrong. I think he hurt her, and I think he knows it, but he did it hoping it'd make her feel better in the long run. Is there something I'm missing?
I'm not going to bother asking about the mines and plague, I know little about either and if people keep posting I'll just have to wait to see.
Why would it have been anything other than temporary?

That's no plot at all. I need Aaron to bring in his troops and con them somehow. That would be a plot.

If it's too organized it's not fun, but troops do sound interesting.

I think he'd have somewhat more trouble getting the new group with the new leader to let him betray them. Considering he tricked Levaticus last time.
Think a guy much more arrogant than Levaticus. But also most more intelligent, powerful, and not apathetic enough to be logical.
I've already told you what he's likely to have done first when he shows up.

Considering Blake and I have done no planing for our characters of it I'll say it's pretty much chaos.
Go for Quin I believe it was. Well then I'd get the chance to just kill the head.

Like crushing the head of the serpent? If you mean of the Children of the Phoenix as a whole, then you've got a snake with several heads, and only one of them is even showing up. Besides, I'm not playing him down. He's likely to avoid direct involvement more than necessary, and be plenty powerful and clever enough to keep alive.
I've read some things in a book today that caught my interest. I may adapt his style a little for it.
And yeah, don't expect organization. They have a few targets they want to hit right off, I told you how they plan to extract Arberus, and from there it's chaos. Quit fitting for Sallemus.

I think I'm just in the dark about Rivven's past and his enemies, mainly.

Oh, about the troops?
We were holding off until BA starting coming to life again like it seems to be. It's been in the works for a while, a different group of the same people from his past coming a'calling. We will probably continue to hold off a while longer due to plotlines already kicked into gear and the possibility of our tournament though. We'll just have to see.
Rivven was used in part as a seal and potential weapon by the Dony'an, who raised him, because his parentage included a race that bonded with spirits, so they thought his use as the 'seal' might give them better odds at sealing away a not quite slumbering demon. They raised him to about the age of thirteen, and then the Empire stormed the part of the Dony'an mountains he was in, and he was among the casualties. Someone from the Children of the Phoenix was in the clean up group, collecting bodies for use and things of mystical potency. One or more of the head honchos of the Children was obsessed with demons, so they quite readily had him brought back as a construct. Then he ran away after about nine years bonded there when the man he had a connection to died of natural causes. Came eventually to BA.
And basically these guys just want him back. One group already came, a small one, failed. So they're giving it one last go. I'm trying to decide if they'll come out of this with the Ahj'Kratuel demon like they want or not still.
