*Luke feels like he's still got a little bit more in him. He sends his hand out and the beer cap stirs and pushes back less than an inch. Then he pulls it back. The cap skids up off the table just a hair until it rests where it started.*
*He feels something pull in his chest. He lets out a 'wheeeew' and tries to shake it off. It's that same feeling, like he ran the 5k. Luke decides to give it a rest. He doesn't want to ******** faint. Only pansies faint.*
*He turns around to see Cora. He frowns a little, thinking about the last time he saw her, but says.* Hey, babe.

:::She understands the look but decides not to dwell on the subject just now. Cora manages to smile at him:::
You've been practicing... hehe... take it easy, hero. Looks like you're making progress though.
:::She walks up and picks up the cap. She tosses it at him. But stops it halfway using her own power:::

You two are really something.

:::She looks back at Bard:::
You know, it does eventually turn into much more than making bottle caps float. I think I may have peaked my ability the other day... but it's hard to tell... and I dont think I can do what I did again any time soon.
The Captain has asked me to start training with Luke, so we can both get better... have you done anything towards your own?

*Luke smiles back at Cora. He's glad she's not mad at him... He wonders why, but ... Oh, Luke doesn't give a ********. He needs a few more minutes like this, at least.*
*When she tosses him the cap and stops it, Luke goes to catch it. But it stops in midair. He half-grins.* Showoff.
*Luke grabs at it, but the cap stays in place. He looks at Cora and back at the cap, then.* He said that, huh? Did he leave me any training wheels? *Or magic photos of Hustler or Penthouse.*

*Bard's face falls. For a moment he'd let himself forget just why they were training in this place. The reality of it comes crashing back. Not wanting to share the burden with the others, however, he smiles jovially*
The last time I tried to come back to the Brink I had somewhat... mixed success...
Sometimes it's very easy... other times I might as well be walking into a wall.

:::Cora nods and puts her hand to her chin in thought:::
I'm also told that our best course of action right now is to find a way to keep the Seraphim out... as many as we can at least... to keep it... from being suicide, if the time should come.
:::She'd spent a few hours thinking about this seperately, while her mind soaked up all the books:::
There might be something to it with your ability... I don't know, but it's worth considering. If you can control yourself coming in...
:::She saw Luke trying to pull on the cap, and she let it go instantly:::
Oh, sorry. That Captain didn't say anything about... training wheels..?

*to Bard* You can decide when you come in here? Way to not tell me, man. *blinks as he remembers something Bard had said* Did you bring yourself here when we went to fix the Jag?
*When Cora lets off her hold on the beer cap, it falls down along with Luke's hand. Luke looks down at the beer cap. -Maybe it was a damned good thing Cora would be training him.- says to her* Yeah, well, he said plenty about everything else. *murmurs* Bout ******** time.

*Bard nods to Luke* I came looking for you then...
*he flashes a grin* Didn't you ever wonder how the Jag got here in the first place?
*he wanders over to the bar, wishing the Brink had a Slurpee machine*

:::She sighed, and ran her fingers through her hair, over her head:::
I've just spent many hours in the library trying to find any information I can. The Captain thinks there might be something in there... not about the Brink, but perhaps some mathematics or physics theory that could tip us off... help us control the nature of the Brink... I think.
:::She shrugs, and shakes her head:::
I'll give every waking moment I have to reading, if that's what it takes... well, and training.
:::She looks at Luke...:::
We've got a lot to work on.

*Bard mixes himself a martini but leaves out the olives.*
That reminds me... there was a book I was reading awhile ago that referenced The Brink of Time. At least, I think it did. It was in Austrian. I was doing my best to translate... *he ponders* ...I wonder what happened to that book...
*After a moment's deliberation, he asks*
... has anyone asked Tavin about a memorial service?

*to Cora. He stands up and squeezes her shoulder.* You're telling me, gorgeous.
*At Bard's question, Luke realizes he hadn't. He feels shitty having to say...* No. I didn't. *Unconsciously, Luke looks to the place where he faded in with Hajime. There's a million questions: How would they all get there? How could they plan it?? Then...* I say we just have one when the most people are here. We call it and we make a decision. I mean, with the way this place works, there's no one - *thinks* well no one besides you - who could guarantee a time they'll be here.
*adds* And it doesn't have to be all at once either.

:::Cora shakes her head:::
Trust me, I've seen the kind of traffic that goes through here... at least, I think I have...
I don't think there's a way to do it without leaving people out. It might be best... to build a monument, perhaps? So people who come in can see it whenever they're around.

*Bard nods, it isn't at all what he has in mind, but he doesn't want to share this with the others just yet. The idea is still fresh in his mind, and he's working out the details*
*he sips his martini* I'm sure we can work something out, one way or another.

*Luke's nodding, still staring at the spot.* Yeah. *to Cora* I like the memorial idea. Like where people can just leave things in a specific place that reminded them of the person. And we can do a lot of different things, whatever we want. But I think that'd work really well. Especially here.
