Oh, the swather is great! I loved cutting. As far as baling, yeah, we had one of those round balers too and mine weren't always the neatest. As soon as our kids could see over the steering wheel, they were stabbing those bales for us and stacking them.

My favorite was my 4wheel drive tractor, loved planting wheat, discing.

But the combine, was the best. Except for the damn bindweed. Once, I came across a fawn and stopped the combine just in time.

What I hated though was driving the wheat truck into town. Very allergic to the wheat dust.

Oh the good old days of farming! Haven't worn a dress for many years now.

Yeah, I don't wear what I used to. I'm as plain Jane as you can get. And I like it that way.

And speaking of shoes, I need a new pair so bad. But I bet it will be months before I break down to go buy some.

As far as music, my daughter played the sax. And me, well guitar and I was the only girl in the class and the only one not playing 'Smoke on the Water' with the guys. I was classical girl. lol But it didn't bother me. I had a great time playing guitar and being in England was the best for me since I got to play at the Royal Albert Hall, Something I will NEVER forget.

lol....this morning us girls are all in the hen house. Made my heart smile this morning. Thank you.

I have to get to work now.

Has anyone heard from Deb? I know she was out on business so maybe all is okay.

Okay, good to know she's around. I checked GuG real quick this morning, but it was real fast since I had to go to work. Miss her.

Yes I know what you mean about getting it all right. But I hate sharps and flats with a vengeance and that's pretty much what classical music is. My favorite is Andres Segovia. The music book I have is still in great shape, got it when I was around 14 years old I believe. The piece I played at RAH was from that book. I still remember exactly how to play it.

Timing was my biggest problem to overcome. I had to be ready so I could play there. My first teacher was Mr. Lindell and he begged my parents when I was 12 to be persistent because he was convinced I would be a famous classical guitarist. But hell, that never happened, I was a straight A student and they refused to let me go to college and I won't get into that piece of info.

My next teacher was Mr. Harms, he was the one who got me into the hall to play. He owned a music company back in the states at that time. He was also a man who could hypnotize people, and I would never let him do it to me. But the guys in the class thought it was great.

I loved when I got my first 12 string guitar. It was more difficult but I did master it. Beautiful music from that guitar. I played steel strings, never did like the nylon strings at all.

Had my guitars forever, till my second husband..... the biological a*****e of my daughter.......hocked it for drugs. Never will forgive him for that or for giving his daughter up for adoption to my husband and myself.

Speaking of that, I was looking for my ss card yesterday in my important paper file and came across my daughters adoption papers. She got to read them for the first time ever. She said, "It took 2 years for the adoption to go through?"

I said, "Yes it did dear. They gave it that long to be sure your bio father knew what he was doing." I did not tell her that he signed them instantly. Or that he gave her up because she was a girl and not a boy. So sad. But good for us.

We have never lied to her. She is my daughter, but not my hubby's. Well....that is not correct....he is the only father she has had since she was 8 months old. My daughter cannot even remember her bio father. But she considers (my hubby) her only father. Except of course when she went through the awful age of 16 and said some things she was very sorry about later.

Oh my gosh. I just realized that I have never hear Segovia play so I did a google search and I'm listening to him for the first time ever on YouTube!

I love it!

Okay..this is weird! I have 10 listings on the MP but only 7 are showing up under my store. And when I looked for the stuff that isn't showing up in the MP it's not there!!! WTF?? So many glitches these days. There were a couple of days I couldn't post anything in the forums! Ahhhh....

Lynn....same stuff went on w/ my mom & sperm donor. I've never met him, I've never even seen a pic of him. Funny thing about my mom & dad...both of my granddad's were in the USAF together (hence the whole thing about Colo Springs & NORAD, remember when I emailed you months back)...anyhow, both families hung out together, vacationed together..blah blah blah...my mom had a "crush" on my dad when she was 15 and he was 25 (or the store goes.) Dad was married by that time or about to be...years went by, he had 2 kids, she had me...families still remained great friends. Dad got divorced, and by that time my mom was around 22, dad was 32, they started dating..and ended up getting married.
However....things went sour after about 15 yrs of marriage, both are remarried now, but the very 1st xmas when I went home to Wyoming after a few years of their separation, my xmas dinner consisted of my mom, her new husband, my dad & his new girlfriend plus grandparents...WEIRD!!! So I always tell people that I have the most dysfunctional family in the world.
