FIRST OF ALL... *I* didn't bring you here! Second of all, it would be a HELL of a lot simpler to defend this place if you WEREN'T here! Third, how many times have you seen me reading a book out here? I'm not enjoying War & Peace, I'm trying to find ideas ON HOW TO KEEP US ALIVE!!!!!!!! I'm TRYING to teach you how to do SOMETHING so that you can help yourself and everyone else on the GOOD chance that *I* fail and die, but you seem to only want to fight me EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! *I* don't have all the answers, but by GOD I'm at least TRYING to find them!

*Luke hits the floor with a 'BANG'. With Cora's help, he does jump back up and goes to tackle Tavin to the ******** ground, when he actually finds himself listening to what Tavin is saying.*
*He didn't bring them here... He was trying to find answers.... He didn't HAVE all the answers.*
*Luke's glaring. He's shaking in anger. But the shock of it all holds him in place. He doesn't say anything. He can't; it's too much to process. He's staring down Tavin, in equal parts rage and confusion .... when he fades out of the Brink.*

*Tavin turned his back to Cora, but he was still shaking. Something deep inside of him called out again. An old and familiar feeling that had been long forgotten. He strained the muscles in his arms, forcing his fists to unclench. His breathing was labored and ragged*
He... what he said...... I lost.... I've lost EVERYTHING to The Seraphim.. and he....... I could lose everyone here and he thinks that I'm just.... He had no right to say those things. He had NO right!

Hajime is gone, and Luke could have been dead just as fast. How was he supposed to know? Even I didn't know you were doing anything to stop this! So don't tell us we have no right to be angry when we're DYING here and have no idea how to stop it!

You don't tell us anything! You won't tell ME anything, and I live here. I don't know what to do with myself. My Brink ability isn't any comfort, because the Seraphim isn't afraid of floating beer bottles and peanut bags. So when a girl pops in here with her neck snapped in half, I have to spend every waking moment thinking that Luke, or Maggie, or everyone I know is going through the same thing, and I can't do a thing! Tell me what to do and I'll do it, just ...TELL ME!

Cora, why can't you understand? Why can't the others understand? I don't HAVE the answers to all these questions! I can't tell you what to do because I don't KNOW what to do. THAT is why I try to FIND the answers... But I can't... I don't want people living in constant fear. That's the life I've lead, and I do not wish it upon any other being. That is why I keep quiet.
*Tavin looks at her dejectedly*
This I DO know. Your Brink powers may not seem like much, but they're something that I know that The Seraphim does not posess. And the people here are NOT helpless. The Seraphim has always acted upon what he percieves.
*His eyes grow stern*
If he attacks someone, it can only be because he's sees them as being capable of becoming a threat to him. May the Lord keep that girl's soul, but The Seraphim must have found that she would have been a VERY powerful rival.... I just never even thought he'd ever go so far..
