I've heard of the heat wave that's going on and causing power crunches all over the place, but nothing about any kind of storms across the nation. sweatdrop
...yeah, we don't get much out here... it's all either Israel/Lebannon or it's stuff about the 2008 presidential campaign. sweatdrop gonk ...we have to search for anything else of interest. crying sweatdrop gonk
...like freaking an ex-porn star running for governor... AGAIN! stressed ...but this time it's in freaking Nevada... of all the places to run. rolleyes sweatdrop ninja ...I lived there for long enough, I can make fun of Nevada. xp ninja xd

Yeah, it's hot out here, if only it were to stay in the mid-upper 60s as the high for the day, then it'd be peachy keen. sweatdrop 3nodding whee

Argh, it's so hot here in CA. Well. Not right NOW, but it was hot earlier. Low 100's most of the day. Gah, I can't take hot weather. gonk

It rain like crazy here two days ago, since then it felt really good. I actually played with my dog. xD; But it's probably gonna start getting hot again soon. gonk
Anyways, I'm in a I want to play online kinda mood. I'll probably play MapleStory since it's free...and I have half of it downloaded already.

About the storms: It hit heavy on last Wed and knocked out basically everyone's power. The storm was scary, but the aftermath was more frightening. I still have to drive 20 minutes to get food (unless I have something in the now on-again fridge (we had to throw out all of the food last week)). On the first day there was only one "local" gas station that had power and it ran out of gas before the day was through. Luckily I got gas Wed afternoon. Some of St. Louis and the metro area are still w/o power, but luckily the heat wave broke.
@ Stalth -- People disappeared? You mean you haven't heard from some people in this area since the storm? That sucks. I hope they are okay (though I haven't heard of any storm fatalities, if that helps).
As for the heat wave: It left after the second storm on Friday (which had a nice little tornado to the south of us), but it is back today. I just hope it doesn't stir up any more storms! I can handle the heat okay, but I wish I lived somewhere near the coast or something so it wouldn't be so freaking humid!

Apparently something happened with a tree or something... and they just got power back today.
