Malik chuckled lightly, running his hands over her skin.
"As long as it takes for you to get better. I can handle a little added stress while you recover and get well. you know your health is more important then a stress level."
the Ogres looked between eachother, and the gate opened on it's own, and they escorted him to the front doors, which a servant opened and let him inside and offered him a seat while she went to fetch Zahara that a guest had arrived for her.

Zahara glanced up when a servant came in and she leaned to the side slightly while the message was delivered, then nodded. Gently shifting Lharika so she was sitting up and leaning back against the pillow, she stood and headed out of the room. Taking the stairs two at a time she hit the bottom and found Nadai. "Nadai! Why didn't you just link me so I could have come and got you myself?" Then she shook her head and waved her hand dismissively. "Never mind, please tell me what you found out."
Zykariel glanced up as Zara left the room. Tugging on his father's braid and whispered, "Daddy, where's Zara going? Doesn't she want to hear the story?"
Lark had shifted quite easily into Zahara's spot and she cuddled Malikhai up against her side and kept reading. Her ears twitched idly when Zykariel's voice, whispered though it was, filled the room and she turned. "Would you rather we wait until she gets back or read a different one in the meantime?"

"Careful that think may leap off your face." Sipping her wine once more as he went about asking his question, well he looked totally surprised now didn't he? Of course he did. "Get a new eye put in...an artificial one of course. I've heard humans use glass. Some elves back home in my own plane get ones of crystal and magically infused ones that restore thier sight to a degree. It's rather neat really. Daddy explained it to me once as being possible because elves were more mental than physical creatures, a mind over matter sort of deal helped with magic. It's a permanent fusion of body and crystal, magic there till it heals and the mind recognizes the new replacement as a true eye." Giving a little shrug. "I know a moon elf or two who has one, seeing as our vision is fragile at times and we live so close to the drow. Crest Brigade too."
"You do know that health and stress level ties together yes? So then, it's me worrying about your health as well. Fair is fair then. Besides, with your little...display...of yours earlier, I dare say you are nowhere near as mellow as I want you to be. You should be able to strike out at someone in a wholly docile manner, with nothing but your voice and a tone to get your point across." So there, she won. But she turned her head and pressed a kiss to his chest before laying her cheek against him again.
Nadai nodded, walking himself in but politely declined the seat...he'd rather stand. Oh it was so nerve racking being here. Especially when he had never met the D'vinns personally and who knew what stories were true or not. He did know that they could take down a dragon though...well, everyone had seen it happen. Then he blinked as Zahara made herself known...and slapped himself in the forehead before giving a sheepish look. "Oh yeah...I suppose I could have...heh..." Kicking the ground a moment. "Anyway...well it seems all of this came from the scouting that Vesendar's been doing. Apparenly Mira and the group she was with set up a camp of sorts outside the border of Twilight Lands. Inthara never crossed...but Tyrovira, the apparent initator of this attack, thought he was too close and she's...well she's kind of stuck in the old ways a little...
Sevilin looked to his son and gave a reassuring pet. "She has someone she needs to see for a moment, just like the serf said. She'll be back in time for the end I'm sure, no worries."
Malikhai looked up as the story was paused and thus expectantly to his friend to make the decision. After all, it was polite to wait on stories if someone was reading them with you.

Zahara listened and nodded, "So he was never in teh wrong and therefore should have never have been attacked. Well that's nice. What did they use to beat him down like they did? It's not every day you see someone as well versed in magic as he is come home beaten, tied, and blooy. He had more broken bones than most soldiers get in their wars. Did anyone say anything to that effect?"
"Oh, okay then." Then a glance down at Lark. "No, you can keep reading. Zara will be back in time for the end."
So Lark picked the story back up and delved into the charactesr and story line keeping the children interested and entertained.

Arthur just sat there, his face expresionless as he focused on listening to Isle explian about the whole eye thing, how humans used glass and yet elves use crystal and get it magically infused so that it could restore his eye to a point. As she spoke though a small smile appeared on the elf's face and it kept on growing until it was a big as it could get, he really wanted to get this done, and that could be seen with the smile on his face. "Well...is it painless? and what would happen if the eye was struck woud it be able to withstand from be shattered?" He leaned back into his seat as he watched the older elf with a grin now. "Though can I get it done down here or do I have to go to the surface to get it?" The one thing Arthur really want was to get his sight back and he would do anything to get, including getting a piece of crystal placed inside his eye socket.

Mira said that he was using some kind of unseen magic against them, a lot of hand motions, but then he seemed distracted and gave them a warning and took off in a sprint...she knee jerked in reaction and popped him in the face with a poision spell and it got him down. Under Tyrovira's command then, Akedo and Hytus beat the mess out of him with traditional means, and they also used his own weapon against him as well. Tyra got him tied up and apparently wanted to do...unsavory...things with him and then he just poofed."
She raised an eyebrow. Well it seemed he was really into this wasn't he now? Even sounded like he wanted one for himself. "Of course it's not painless, health is never painless. And well...I suppose a strike of the right resonance to the crystal would shatter it but large condensed pieces of crystals aren't that fragile." Taking a pause to drink from her glass. "You'd have to go to Andal I guess...unless you could convince a healer to come down here I guess."

Arthur nodded lightly as he quietly listened to Isle answers to his questions, he really really wanted to get one of these 'eyes' for himself because for once in a very long time he would be able to see fully once again! the young elf chuckled lightly and sighed a little as she shifted in his seat. "Isle you have given me some very good news...and it's been awhile since I have heard any..." Though he waved his hand when she spoke of the healer that was needed for this whole thing. "Well if I do go up to the surface that is when I'll get it, I can wait a little longer so there is no need to worry." Though now he was so happy he couldn't sit straight. "Oh what can I do to thank you for this information Isle? Surely I can do something for you telling me all this!" He was happy as the little kids would be wen given some sort of desert, though now he was leaning in his chair as had a large grin on his face, he couldn't get the idea out of his head no matter what anyone would tell him now.

She listened again, rage bursting to hear what had been done to him. Beaten with his own weapon? Unsavory things? Poor Sevilin. She took everythign Nadai said and began to go through it a clear, concise way so she could unravel just what had happened. Unseen magic? Hand gestures? That would be runes which made sense. So Sevilin had fought back. Why then had he lost? She knew from experience that unless there was another rune mage among the group, the battle should have been over in no time. But he had gotten distracted....by what? What could possibly take him away from a battle? "Distracted?" She began to pace, running all the other fights she had seen him in through her mind. He fought with a single minded intensity that was so common of drow males. They were trained to be war fodder and fight to the death without wavering and Sevilin was no different. "Zykariel..." She slowly sank down into a chair and remembered the rune that had appeared like a beacon on his forehead. A shake of her head and she stood again. "Well...thank you for telling me all of this Nadai. It has been most helpful." Walking over to him she lightly patted his arm. "Hopefully nothing else like this will occur and we can all put this behind us. You might want to mention to those who hold the power that Twilight is not a place that will take unprecedented attacks lightly." She took a deep breath, already running over in her mind what she was going to say to Sevilin and then forced a smile. "I'll let you keep my linkstone for now just in case you run across any other information. Thank you for responding so quickly, Nadai, you have been indispensable to me and you will be rewarded."

Uh huh...he really was into this wasn't he? Apparently so. He looked all happy and such...almost like a young eighty year old elf when they learned something new. Wasn't it just cute? Though some days Isle wasn't into cute...she wanted a sense of a dashing rouge. Thus she was merely comfrotable in her chair, sipping her wine. "It's just freely offered useful information Galesen, no reason to repay me back..." After all, some information had a price tag on it but not all. "Though if you feel the need, I'm sure you can come up with something.
He watched her go through the paces of his information and then nodded at her when she thanked him. "I plan to, after all, no one wants bring this place down on us. That wouldn't be fun." Then another one of those smiles at Zahara. "I always deliver."

Well by now Arthur had sobered up and was now all serious, the happy look was now gone as he had a small playful grin across his lips; so the elf grabbed his glass of wine and took a sip, pulling the glass away and holding it in his hands. Though his eyepatch was laying on his knee his eyes were trained on Isle, she now offered him something no one else had and he was really happy, he had to do something for her. "Trust me Isle..." His voice had a serious but a kind of playful tone to it. "This information is very serious to me...and I will in the near future repay you in some way...after all if you didn't come down here I would of never heard of this, I'll still be the elf with one eye." Arthur's eye reflected the fire burning beside them though he sighed lightly as he pulled back in his seat, taking another sip of his wine before setting it aside, the idea of the new eye still running through his head. Though he had to put that aside now and enjoy the fire that was going. "Are you finished with keeping the house in check or you still got places to look after?" He asked as he trained his eye on the fire, getting lost into the warm glow of it for now.

She stared at him again...he was really overtaken by this wasn't he? She half expected him to shed a tear or two. "And what's wrong with having one eye? Piper has only half an ear, others have other more crippling body parts missing. You've been going this long with just one eye. I at least thought humans were creative enough to fix that kind of problem." Yes she did human bash, though she didn't really mean to do it, it just came out harsh and such. This was the most trying man she had been trying to bed in a while.

Arthur looked back at Isle for a moment, he titled his head lightly to the right as he watched her talk to him about how it shouldn't be bad with just one eye. "Alright I see your point Isle, I just finally find the means of restoring my sight...even though it maybe limited I really do not mind at all. Though I do respect Piper for her half of an ear, and any others who may have lost a body part or so, they may never get them back but..." Again he shifted in his seat as he looked at her wtih a small stare. "It's been so long since I could see with both eyes...and yes humans do have a means but I thought of it to be almost the same as having just one eye so I let it go..." Standing up the elf wandered closer to the fireplace, the eyepatch in his hand as he looked at it for a little bit; and then he just tossed it into the fire without a second thought and watched it burn until there was almsot nothing left. "I don't think I'll need that anymore..." He muttered and turned to the elf who was sitting in the chair and smiled lightly, walking over to her and then stopping right infront of her seat. "Now I said that I would repay you somehow..." his voice trailed off as he leaned forwards, making one of his hands brace the back of the chair just above Isle's head, his own stationed above hers. "But forget that I've been wanting to do something with you ever since we first kissed..." He placed his other hand underneath Isle's chin and slowly titled her head up so she was looking right at him, though right now he didn't care for any payback he just wanted to have her, and that could be noticed easily. "I want you Isle..." He whispered and brought her in for a kiss, his lips brushing against her own and hopefully this time no one would bug them.

"true, but the stress to health relation is not as bad as the concussion to health relation. which means if push comes to shove, my health risks are far less then yours, thus less dangeruos, thus I get to take the reins before you do, so there. and the healers will back me up on it."
Speaking of which...if she was this energetic, they should go a little longer. more Malik Fatigue for her!
Slaves unobtrusively watched Arthur and Isle, hand signals between eachother, some annoyed, some rather pleased. yes, wagers had been going on about those two. But they did at least keep mouths shut and not stare or gawk. they knew better than that. though some of them had half a mind to alert Zahara...just to see fireworks.

"Yes, you do Nadai," she caught the sexual innuendo and just shook her head. "Maybe next time I need something you'll be the one I call." She wasn't locked into anything with anyone after all so she could do whatever she wanted to do. Arthur had gotten in her face over still sleeping with Sevilin but she just shrugged that off attributing it to his more human side. "Hold onto that linkstone," she whispered running a finger down his chest. "And if you need anything link me." Then she turned and headed back upstairs settling down beside Lark just in time for the end of the story. She listened to the evil pirate vanquishing and heard about the wench who was given back and her lips tilted up as she thought about how closely their games resembled this. It was almost dinnertime but first she had something to discuss with Sevilin. Ruffling Zykariel's hair, she easily squeezed herself into the small space left on the bed next to both of them. Keeping her voice low so the children wouldn't hear she said, "You never told me why you were brought down. Seems a little odd knowing that you could have easily subdued them all without even hurting them. Unless..." she paused as though a thought had just come to her, "Was one of them a rune mage?"
Lharika shut the book and glanced at the stack beside her. "If you want to read another one, someone else is going to have to read. Malikhai? Zykariel?"
Zykariel glanced at his mother when she chose to curl up beside them but decided it would be so much wiser not to say anything. He did however situate his body ever so slightly so she was included in the cuddling. moving his head to rest against her shoulder instead of his father's chest."Malikhai can read if he wants."
She hesitated for a moment and then lifted her fingers and started lightly running them through his hair acting as though it was completely natural to do this. A fierce protectiveness had settled inside her since this morning when her life had become healer and babysitter all in one fell swoop. It was her responsibility to make sure that each and every one of those in her charge got better. And she finally had to admit to herself that she couldn't stay away from Zykariel and it wasn't fair to ride the fence like she had been doing. She had to make a decision once and for all. She knew what her choice was but the rest centered on the child.

Isleandra watched as he tossed the patch into the fireplace. Well, she guessed there would be a lot of discussion with Malik about what Galesen was going to do...whether it be a trip to Andal or not for him...he seemed rather focused on this eye thing. A gentle nod from her, finishing off her wine and setting the empy glass aside. Well well, what was this? Did she just hook herself a fish? It seemed so as he got closer.
Teal with gold rimmed puipls turned to look at his arm as he braced it on the chair then back to him as he was leaned down in front of her. Oh yes, she had hooked herself a good fish indeed she surmised when he tilted her head to kiss her and his affirming words. She won...then again she always did. But a hand reached up and grabbed his shirt collar, holding him in that kiss a moment before she pushed him away and stood, giving him a half closed eyes with a spark of gold from thier depths seductive look to him. "Then you better suggest a private space shouldn't you? I'm not one for public shows."
"The healers are more scared of me than they are of you, and I will find my out of this bed as I earlier told you. Not to mention that you have so much stress that it drives you to do harmful things to yourself anyway so-" Of course she never got to finish the argument as Malik decided that he hadn't worn her out enough yet and went about making damn sure that she wasn't going to want to go anywhere, be it from being tired or pleasureably sore. Well...that and she probably wouldn't have a voice left to argue with him by the time Malik was done with her.
Malikhai merely got himself up and took the book from his aunt, toddling back over to the shelf and putting it back where it belonged before scanning the spines for another title that they preferred. He ended up bringing back one about dragons and elves that were working together against the proclaimed force of evil. Thus back to his spot next to Lharika, flipping open the cover, clearing his throat and taking to reading.
Nadai shook his head lightly, wiggling his eyebrows at her and clicking his tongue before nervously clutching his vesendar blue tunic once more in nervousness over being in this place. At least he hadn't had a run in with the D'vinns yet. "Will do Zahara. Remember, you owe me one now." Thus shaking his head as she walked off and he turned himself, heading out. Oh this would be a long day...
Sevilin's attention turned up to Zahara as she decided to settle on the bed with them and turned her attention on himself. He cleared his throat lightly, noting her tone, but he didn't have to try and whisper seeing as he couldn't do much more than that. "I did have them subdued...quite easily. But no, one wasn't a rune mage...Zykariel must have gotten hurt around the same moment, and I got distracted...let my guard drop. I thought I could get away before they recovered and didn't think there was one more in hiding, stupidly enough."
Coughing lightly again, but settling a bit easier this time. A slight angle of his eyes to her fingers as they pushed through Zykariel's hair, then back up to her own eyes.
