Everything seemed to be falling into place, but tarathiel could not make his mind up about which path he should walk down... The chaos of it was delicious, it fed his lust and delighted his senses.

"Well... How much of the army should we destroy, so that a warring general could not rise... Or should I let one?" The drow smiled at his game board, all the pieces were flowing into delicious places, making the game all the more sweet.

"Malik?"

"What of him?"

"Should you use him to crush D'Metri?"

"No. I don't want him to claim any of my victory."

"But you still have use of him in your dance."

"Yes, and I might get more gil out of this than just what we take in the end..." Tarathiel smiled. "Sstrl, Take Jin and five soldiers to Dagger's fortress. Orko, go with them." To his neighbouring drow, Tarathiel added, "Orior ulu rosa chath." they laughed in response.

Warren reached the city again, vertiable waves of anger making the air shimer as if in a dense heat. The Wizen Tower...destroyed...not a thing left! Hundereds of years of research, development, and new devices...nothing but dust and rubble.

In the throne room, a certain king was none to pleased to see him. A skinny, cocky mouthes wizard..who would want to see him? Plus, wizards just caused trouble, though usually not without good reason.

Unfortunatly, King Dimitri was in the middle of entertaining a few guests, benifitiaries to be exact.

Dimitri was just commenting on how delighted he was that Lord and Lady Bennin had just agreed to continue their support of the throne. They would discuss the numbers later, but the Bennin's were quite wealthy with inherited fortune. They had complex family contraxts that required all living relatives to pay their house a emasure of taxes....therefore the Bennin's were a very, very large family, stretching all across Deep Water and well into the outer regious.

The pair stuck up their noses at being interrupted. Scowled at Dimitri. He chuckled and assured them that he would get rid of the loud wizard.

"Half-elf, what is the meaning of this?" Without waiting for an answer he waved, shooing Warren. "Leave."

"The Wizen Watch Tower..."

"Don't bother me with that trash. I said out!" Where were his gaurds? Damn, they were out looking for Malik...they were getting closer, he was sure of it.

Warren raised his voice over the continued converstaion between the king and his guests. "The Watch Tower has been destroyed!"

Instant change. That's why he hadn't been recieving any reports...

Suddeny, his two guests were ignored, and a servant came and shooed them out the door. Dimitri was shouting, half of it uninteligable, the other half clear that he was calling for those in charge of his army. Amoungst the odd swears, babble, and spitting orders, he made clear his hastey conclusion...

"D'vinn! I know it was you!"

A sudden knock came upon Demitri's door just after spoke, D'vinn. Tarathiel was now waiting, beside he unconsious guards for someone to allow him to enter. This move, one which he had planed to do with a little more subtly, was now his primary concern. This meeting had to go his way, or nothing was to be gained from it...

Which is why Jin was no longer going to present the proposition to D'Mitri.

A servant, a little twig of a thing and a slave to boot, went to open the knock on the door. He had thought it was General Caraway, here to report his troops movments, what they were plannign and what not. However, apon opening the door, he froze, and then he soiled himself.

Dimitri was currently shouting at one of his Crimson Gaurds, who had just recently told him he may have found the location as to malik's whereabouts. "I don't want 'maybes', get out tehre and find it!" The gaurd rushed out, intent on following orders. Perhaps, had he seen who was at the door, he may have stayed a moment.

Dimitri turned to who he thought was General Caraway.

Warren was trying to get a word, trying to tell the king that he didn't think it was Dimitri...but when he saw what kind of person was allowed in the throne room..well he shut up and tried to look like nothing more than an unimportant shadow in the background.

Aella was on her tip toes, peering over a wall. She had gotten tired of waiting, and though she had recieved heavey critisism in her decision, she had only been whittled down to seeign what was happening. Underneath her feet, several crates stood shakely on top of one another, oin hre hastey attempt to peer over the wall.

She watched Taratheil enter the castle with appaernt ease. But she only grew more concerned. This wasn't part of the plan right? So that meant that plans had changed? Did that mean she could leave...

Tarathiel walked passed the servent and towards Dimitri with a very calm pose. When he reached a respectable distance, he bowed. "Greetings, King Dimitri. I bring good tidings, should you be able to aford them." The drow leered at all of the guards in the room. "I suggest that you hold your men at bay, or D'vinn might live to see another day."

His face went red and he clenched his teeth in anger. "Who the hella re you?" Giving him advice? How presumtious.

"Get out of here. I will deal with D'vin as I see fit." He motioned over a few gaurds, intent on having them take this...this...thing away.

"Well, I guess if you do not wish to know where exactly Malik D'vinn is, I, the good Captain, shall certianly leave." Tarathiel responded with a rather hurt tone, his eyes leering some of the nearest guards should they decide to intervine.

"Stop!" He held a hand out to his gaurds, the anger and now suspition still thick in his voice.

"You know where the ble elf is?" Obvious that he was listening, and intently so, tohugh the wheels behind the eys turned somewhat slowly. "G on, tell me. I can offer...rewards."

Tarathiel paused, not that bright. "Offer your rewards, then maybe I will speak... Perhaps, though, you wish for proof that I know where he is... How about, the fact he has a few magical horses, and lives with two cat like creatures, and a surface elf?" Nothing that rumour couldn't have provided...

"What proof can I provide that I have been there?"

Tarathiel through a lock of hair at the ground, white thick hair. "If you have a wizard identify it, you will see that it is Malik's... and that it was gathered over time from loose strings... but, where on earth would those loose strings get those perticualr fibers from? a bed perhaps, so Yes, I have been in his room..."

Tarathiel waved his hand, and an image of Malik in his bed with Piper appeared.

"I guess that image alone makes my words more credible in the least."

Tarathiel smiled, "All it takes is some rare and valuable magic items, or a ships weight in gold."

Flashy words and magic. And to be honest, most of it was lost on a man like Dimitri.

"Yes yes, his pets....continue.." He made hand gestures, urdging the drow to hurry up. A look of disgust was cast at the lock of hair, he wouldn't touch such a thing that's for sure. He snapped his fingers, looked at Warren, and pointed at the lock.

Warren sighed, bent, and picked up the hair. He didn't do anytihng wth it, just held it behind his back. Until Dimitri said to do something with it, he wouldn't even try.

most people in the room turned their heads when the image appeared. Digusting, filthy elves. They had no need to see such intimicies. Especially those conducted between the different races.

Then he sneered. "The Wizen Tower was destroyed, all of our magical items" which he didn't trust and had had locked up there in the first place, "were stored there." His shifty little eyes, darting here and there looking for a solution...

"I'll...I'll give you the Bennin estates. They have a regualr intake of family taxes."

"Hmm..." Tarathiel emphasised the hmm. "Are you sure there is nothing of magical nature in the vaults of this castle? Or at least rare? Gold is good, but if I have to wait, it is no good to me."

Dimitri's eyes shited again, he was getting deperate..the castel funds had been running low for years, what with the man's constant paranioa,a nd the increasing army, it was hard to get people to support, the Bennin's had beena crutial part of keeping the castele standing.

"Rare?" The only thing he had, which he thought was useless anyway..."I have a staff of surface wood."

Malik drummed his fingers on the table.

"Soon. Very soon. too many deaths have occured for it not too. the Captian might think my information lacks, but I know about things. that's what necromancers are for. they call the recent dead to them, learn what they have to say, and send them along..well..unless they have a better use."

A slight grin.

"Some wizard tower was recently razed. that shoudl set a fire. if he hasn't started by now, than that man is more a cowering dog than even the most remote form of a king. Not to mention if the captian really wants us to face the fleet..he'll have to help get them moving somehow."

"Surface wood works." Tarathiel smiled, "I will come back in a few hours with a chart for you, unless you would rather just know the location as it is in my language... I think that would be a very sarcastic joke on my part..."

"Have that staff here, and I shall bring you a map written in the language of your fathers."

"Until then, Fare Well." Tarathiel bowed, and was consumed by a great dark orb. The orb disapperated leaving no one behind.

Waitn a moment...that worked? Nothing but a stick made of wood from the surface?

Dimitri had never even touched the damn thing, and there were strange looks of disapointment when he had ordered the thing locked away. but no matter, it had no value as far as he was concerened. "Fine. it will be here."

Warren stood in outmost shock...he had just given away....an extremely valuable staff....
