All those were books on my reading list for AP American Lit.
Alec and Damien do the same thing Kirby. They just look around, not really caring what is said. Or maybe they do.

Oh yeah.
We had to read Their Eyes Were Watching God, which sucks, and Ethan Frome, which I actually liked. But the ending sucked.
