Magical transforming swords = Zanpakuto. Zanpakuto are wielded by Shinigami. They do have a special soul inside of them, but it has not necessarily been said that it is in fact the soul of a dead person. As a Shinigami bonds with his Zanpakuto, he unlocks two forms--Shikai, which most every Shinigami has, is the first form with a simple transformation, probably the one you've heard of. This usually changes that sword's shape and unlocks some special abilities. The second form is Bankai, which only Captains and powerful Vice-Captains unlock, which gives the sword more power and is usually a bigger version of the initial transformation. For example, Byakuya Kuchiki (from the anime) has a sword that, in Shikai, has the blade break apart into several tiny blades he can control. In Bankai, the blade transforms into several blades which explode into approximately a thousand times as many tiny blades.
We are dividing squads by duties. Fourth Division is Medical, Twelfth is Research and Development, and Eleventh is Combat. Other than that, there aren't any real specific duties.
Not everyone is a Captain or Vice-Captain. There are still some Captain and Vice-Captain position openings, however there will be several Seated Officers. Seated Officers can be promoted or demoted, however unless the Captain or Vice-Captain dies, they will not be promoted to either position. Unseated Officers can also be promoted, I believe. To get promoted, you must challenge the person who is a higher rank then you to a duel, and the winner gets either promoted or keeps his position, depending on whether he already has it.
Quincy and Arrancar have their own special ranks. Arrancar are ordered by numbers, with 0 being the strongest and 99 being the weakest. The top ten (0 through 9) Arrancar are known as "Espada" and each represent a certain aspect of death. Quincy have pretty linear rankings, with the leader, a group of five people who serve directly under him, a group that is those five's underlings, and then the unranked Quincy.
They do not all live in the same city. However, there is only one full city in which we RP. The Arrancar reside in Hueco Mundo, which is a parallel world like Seireitei (where the Shinigami live), the Quincy reside in a strange void thingy, and everyone else does indeed live in the same city, Karakura Town.
Humans are involved. Quincy and Fullbring are just Humans with special powers.
Shinigami can reproduce, both with other Shinigami and with humans (the main character of the anime/manga's dad was a Shinigami and his mom was a human). The majority of Shinigami actually are the offspring of two souls, and there are even whole big noble families of pure Shinigami/souls. In fact, most of the time families who die and go to Seireitei are separated and do not see each other again.
Accidentally kill the wrong thing? Yes, it could happen.
Arrancar/hollows can be good, as shown with three Arrancar who helped Ichigo when he first went to Hueco Mundo to save Orihime.

Sorry for lack of posting and a lack of informing of my leaving.
I didn't even know I was leaving. Stupid people.
Anyways got dragged to Toronto. It was fun. No internet.

I was thinking the same thing, Uruyu said that shinigami, and arrancars are the same. So, it's possibly....I think, but it hasn't been done before.

I think it's possible for a Arrancrar, and Shinigami to have a kid, would it be a Arrancrar, Vizard, or Shinigami?
