Well look at him, he wasn't letting her get more than arms length away was he? She had hooked herself a fish that was willing to be caught over and over again because the bait just tasted too good to resist. Though a tilt of her head as he shifted her hair and got close to her ear. She smirked at him as he tilted her head. "Are you saying then that you play as hard as you work?"
"You're being paranoid." Merely taking the glass from her, not giving the contents a second though and downing them in one go, knowing better than to let himself taste whatever it may be. Poison? Well he was already poisoned so what would it matter. But there was a sign in this. Vesendar drow didn't look to kill, and they certinally wouldn't of brough his weapon back with ill intent. He didn't trust what he just drank, but he didn't deny that it may help either.
"So? Why do you have to be pessimistic. Just go ask him when he's able to tell you." It was really hard to be angry/concerned when you couldn't think straight and hadn't gotten enough reverie at all. "And why do you instantly thing yourself cast in a bad light when it comes to this? Why are you always supposedly weak to everyone around you when you don't maim someone who's wronged you such as this? You can't ever come across as being merciful to a transgression that came from perhaps something as simple as being lose in translation, and yes that's an example." Closing her eyes a moment to perhaps help a little. Hm, yelling not good. Though she didn't smirk back at him as she would usually do when she looked back him. "I'm sure I could do them myself...isn't that what you're always harping on me about anyway?"

Arthur smiled lightly as he kept the elf close to him, she has just been able to keep his interest in her ever since he had met her a week or so ago, the slaves tried doing that from time to time but he's moved passed that little short phase really. Though he nodded slightly at her comment and chuckled again, for som reason he couldn't help but always laugh around her. "If you have seen me work before my little 'free period' then you know..." He smirked as he traced a finger on her cheek lightly. "Just how much I like to play..." So with those words he leaned in and kissed her lips, and even though he has kissed her beofre Arthur still liked doing it, why? Well because her lips felt different and he likes a little bit of difference in his life once in awhile; so that's why he wishes that when he sends his letter back with Isle he could go to the surface for awhile, but right now he had to concentrate on the woman he was kissing first.

Well, he had no problems courting death, now did he? She shook her head adn shrugged. "Fine but if you die a horrible death, dont' blame me." Removing herself from the bed and headin gback over to the chair, she retook her seat and picked up a few more books to continue flipping through them so she could identify what the poison actually was. "You really do need to get some reverie. Your body took a major beating and I'm not letting you up anyway, so you might as well just succumb."
"Are you two going to drink rum and play cards? 'cause if you are, you shouldn't do it in here. Daddy says that's something that's done in the pirate's cabin," Zykariel piped up after watching them kiss. That was kind of gross to see anyway.

"Probably becuase it was beaten into me. literally."
though a look back at her...alright he'd concede.
"alright, you talked me out of it. I won't go smashing and razing little villages for the sake of bloodlust or one overly irritating and aggravating drow woman this time. but if it happens again, I get permission to hunt her down and do horrible things. agreed?"
and a kiss for her anyway.
"and you should learn to do that. doing books can be a stress relief once you get how to do it down."

"Noted." See? She was being cold to him again...yup he just needed to keep to himself around her. Things weren't going to get better and like he had told Zykariel, he had to buck up and stop looking for those little strands of light. But he stared at her a moment before sighing and then sliding down in bed so that he was laying and rolled on his side so that his back was to her. She could at least think he was in reverie...
Isle gave a giggle even though he was kissing her. Oh such a good fishing trip this was, though she did pull back from him breaking that kiss at the little voice that intruded on the moment, only to look over and catch more than one set of eyes on them. That got another giggle from her and she pushed Galesen off of her some, clearing her throat. "You're exactly right Zykariel, that's captain's cabin games." Hey she was in on the rum and cards thing by now.
"I didn't talk you out of it, you just know I'm going to be angry and such to you until you agree with me." Shifting her weight some and giving a sigh, running a hand through her hair in common fashion, though gaining a cringe from herself on that note. But she let him kiss her, not hitting and or biting him about it. "Long as you don't die, or bring any of that mess home for your son to emulate, yes." Though frowning at him a little. "Numbers do not relieve stress."

Arthur heard the giggle from Isle but he didn't break his concentration at all, not when kissing a pair of lips like these that's for sure! But before he could do anything else he heard a little voice speaking to them and he easily knew who it was, and of course Isle had to pull away which got a disappointed sigh from the elf but he let it go, no need to get mad over something like this. So the elf turned around to see Zykariel looking at them and smiled lightly, it seemed that the boy was doing fairly well considering what had happened to him, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he watched the little drow. "Yup you're right." Though he had to wonder..."So how is the arm? From what I heard you took a nasty fall now didn't you?"

She glanced up at him to watch him snuggle down into the bed and turn away from her and she sighed. The sooner he was in reverie the better she would feel. He had scared her to death, given her comfortable world a serious shake and she didn't like it one little bit. What if he had gotten himself...killed? She would be forced to raise Zykariel all by herself. Zykariel would grieve and she would have to hold him while he cried about it. She woudn't mind holding him, at least she would be with someone who felt the way she did about him. She watched him for a good long while, her mind conjuring up all sorts of horrid situations and then she shook her head and carefully set down her books. She had other patients as well. Needed to find a sling for Zykariel. Standing, she left the room, pulling the door closed behind her. He didn't need to be disturbed right now.
Zykariel frowned. That didn't sound like a good adventur story to tell. Just a fall? No. He shook his head. "No, I got thrown off a horse. He saw a snake or something and got scared and all of a sudden I was flying through the air. I hit my head on a rock and then Zara was standing over me all upset."
He paused a moment for dramatic flourish and then continued. "And then she picked me up and made me drink some nasty stuff and felt at my arm but it really hurt. I was real brave and she brought me back to Twilight and fixed my arm then went to go help Daddy. We saw him on the ground all bloody when we got here."
Lharika was listening and she shook her head. "That's pretty bad. Are you going to ride anymore?"
He didn't know the answer to that question. Frankly getting on a horse again kind of scared him. "I don't think I'm allowed to 'cause of my arm." Would Zara be mad if he didn't want to anymore?
At that moment Zahara walked into the room with a makeshift sling and she nodded to Arthur and Isle then walked over to her son's bed and kneeled down beside it, petting through his hair lightly. "Your arm okay?" she asked as she slipped the sling over his head and settled his arm inside.
"Yes but don't touch my head anymore, okay?"
"Why?" She sat down on teh side of the bed and began feeling through the child's head until she found a bump. A pretty big one too.
He cried out and tried to shove her hand away. "I said don't touch it Zara! It hurts."
"Well then I have to heal it, don't I?" Great, another possible concussion, they were just racking them up today weren't they? She lightly ran her finger over the knot on his head and frowned at his volatile reaction. "Okay, I won't touch it anymore, alright?" Like Piper she didn't want to use magic until she knew for sure that there was no internal bleeding or bruising. Thus she extracted one of her ever present vials and tilted his head back much to his chagrin and dumped the potion down his throat. "THat will keep your head from hurting. It was starting to wasn't it?"
He looked down at his boots and nodded slowly. "But not a lot. Just a little bit."
"Zykariel, look at me." She waited for the child to meet her eyes and hten continued. "If you feel anything else start to hurt, I need you to come tell me immediately. If you feel funny anywhere, your body feels heavy, your tummy hurts, anything, you tell someone to find me and I will be in here in a snap of your fingesr okay? I need to know if anything else happens. can I count on you to tell me?"
He nodded and rubbed his eyes. "How come my head started hurting anyway? I broke my arm not my head."
"But you hit your head which is why it was beginning to hurt. Sometiems when we get hurt, we get hurt in more than one place. Like your daddy, he broke his wrist, his ankle, and a few bones in his chest." At the child's widened eyes she lightly pet through his hair, staying away from the bump. "He's fine now. Safe and sound in reverie where he should be and you will need to get some soon too. Now, you can go back to playing with Malikhai and Lharika and I'll be back to check on you later. remember, if you need me, find someone to get me or come see me yourself. I'll most likely be in your dad's room." And she was gone again. She wanted to check Piper again but didn't think the elf would appreciate her busting in on the middle of their fight. Besides she needed to talk to Nadai. Grabbing a bit of paper and pen she made her way back into Sevilin's room and settled into a chair, writing Nadai a note that requested he come to Twilight and meet with her as soon as possible.

Isle gave another laugh and then merely crossed her arms over her chest, leaning against the wall with her shoulders back agisnt the wall and the rest of her angled off of it. She stood in the oddest ways sometimes. But another giggle from her, looking to Galesen and licking her lips before tucking a few strands of hair behind her ears. Well they were again saddled with child duty as Zahara left. _____
That story of course grabbed him. "You got to ride all by yourself?!" He hadn't gotten to do that yet, he always had to ride with someone. That was exciting wasn't it? Especially since Zykariel was only a little bit older than him and thus that meant he was going to be able to ride by himself soon too! But he tended to his food once Zahara came back in to check over Zykariel, waiting till she left before he looked to his friend. "You know, some pirates only have one arm." The 'see we can still play' line.

She handed the note off to a servant with the instructions to wait and hand it to him directly. Under no circumstances was it to be left for him to return if he was not in residence. Which meant one of Malik's servants might have to wait for a little bit. She needed to talk to Nadai and she made the urgency quite clear in the veiled wording of her letter. No need to alert him to the fact that there was danger. "Are you in reverie like you're supposed to be?" she asked the still figure in his bed. Of course she didn't expect an answer and merely sighed right after it. "You really scared me...no more coming home and finding you all bloody. You have no idea what would happen if you were to..." She couldn't bring herself to say the word 'die' and she just swallowed down the lump that suddenly appeared in her throat then sat back and sighed.
Zykariel put his finger up to his lips and shook his head. "It was just for a second and she wasn't supposed to but I don't wanna get her in trouble with Daddy so careful when you say stuff, okay?" He frowned for a second. "Wait, I thought it was one leg and an eye patch like Arthur."

Arthur smiled lightly as little Z decided to tell the both of the real story of what had happened. "Oh so that's what happened eh? Well then I'm just glad that you are alright really, your mother would of been really upset if it was worse trust me on that." He said with a small chuckle though when Isle giggled he happened to look at her out of the corner of his eye to see her licking her lips, and of course he gave a small wink back as his playful grin appeared on his face before he looked back at the children, well it did suck that he was pulled out of that moment with Isle but he had let it go now Arthur and her were now watching the kids since Zahara just popped in for a quick check up and then left; well at least he had something to pass the time. Though something that little Z said struck him as kind of odd. "One leg?" He chuckled lightly and smiled. "I only have one eye I got both of my legs." He said as he pulled up both pant legs a little to show them before dropping them back down.

He was tempted to say no...because he wasn't. He just didn't feel the need to and he knew that going under only meant he had to come back up to this again. Though he stayed quiet as he listened to her. "Don't worry...you have permission to give him to Piper if something ever happens to me. She'd take him." Obviously he knew what she was thinking about, what would she do with Zykariel if he did die? Not that he planned on doing that anytime soon.
He slipped off of the bed, ran over to the bookshelf in the room and came back with a book, plopping it on the bed and flipping through the pages till he came to a picture of a pirate captain that had just a hood for a hand. "See? He can't hold a sword on this side either, but he's still a pirate." But a look back to Arthur. "Arthur's not a pirate though."
Isle watched the boys as they went about pirate debates. "You know Zykariel, it really doesn't matter if you can hold a sword or not. Being a pirate comes from in here." Giving her chest a pet over her heart. It was always a good thing to enourage the children wasn't it. "Which is why women make fabulous pirates as well, eh Lharika."

"Well...I suppose that answers my questiond doesn't it?" She slipped off her chair and came to sit next to him on the bed, reaching down and lightly laying a hand to his forehead. He didn't feel as hot which was good. She still wasn't sure if she trusted the potion he'd taken but it was a little too late now. "What if I wanted to keep him? Would you object to that?" She stood and walked into the bathroom, wetting a washcloth and bringing it back out to swab his forehead and cheeks. "Would you rather he live with Piper and Malik?"
Zykariel glanced down at the pages and nodded. "I'd need a hook though." Of course Isle made sense as well and he gave her his crooked grin adn nodded. "Yup, you're right. I could have no hands and no legs and no eyes and still be a pirate! I like having my hands though. Having a sword is neat."
Lharika nodded. "Of course. And that's why just 'cause I'm a girl I don't have to be the silly wench who screams and faints all the time. I'm a pirate at heart too. Yar!" She tilted her head at Arthur and chewed her bottom lip. "Well, Galesen, do you want to be a pirate? If you do, you can. If you don't then I guess your eye patch has to be something else."

Arthur blinked a few times at Piper's young son and raised an eyebrow. "Well of course not! I'm just a sailor like Isle here..." He said while giving the older elf a nudge and a smile "Well yes your right I’ve may have seen a girl pirate or two while sailing the seas down here and they are just as tough as the men." But the elf chuckled at Zykariel's comment at what he didn’t need to become a pirate, though it did help if you had at least one arm but he wouldn't say that because he didn't want to ruin the image in the little guy's head. But when little lark spoke up all he gave was a light shrug as he watched her. "Well if I can be one then alright then, but if you have too many pirates then I don't need to be one I guess."
