A glance at her, and a nod.
"I can see to that."
before snapping his fingers, and one very afriad servant was quick to come.
"Tell the trio to get a legion together. I want Vesendar erased from Labyrinth. every man, woman, and child. nothing remains. not even ruins."
yes, she had really, really pissed him off.

"I don't know, you are quite the busy elf, you simply may have no time for me. And I have no time for someone who has no time for me." Aw she was playing hard to get, wasn't it cute? But that was Isle's way because getting men was indeed like fishing and she liked to fish.
She was not liking how this was feeling. So then a look to Isle. "Watch the kids." And thus getting herself up and walking down the hall, up to Malik and grabbing him by a piece of his armor and taking to more or less dragging him away and pulling him into a random room, shoving him in and closing the door, leaning against it and crossing her arms. Giving him that look...he knew the one. The very unhappy one. "So you're destroying things again are you?"

Arthur smiled lightly as he placed his other hand on top of the one that was on Isle's stomach, pulling her closer to the point where his face was in her hair. "Oh but see you are forgetting the position you are in...I don't have to be busy right now Isle, you can just tell me to give you all my time and I'll spend it very carefully with you...and I will make sure that I wont waste one second..." His fingers moved along her belts, plucking lightly at the straps to prove his point, though he took a breath in and smelled the shampoo she used in the morning, it smelled really nice and it was something he could get use to.

Well wasn't this something, more or less making innuendos in the doorway of the nursery. At least the children were young enough to pay it no mind...or at least she hoped. Did not want a fuss out for that one. Though she gave a smirk at she felt him tug on her belt straps. "Perhaps I'll take you up on that offer." Turning her head to look over her shoulder at him, close enough that they could indeed kiss but she seemed to deliberately turn her face away from his at just the right moment to prevent one. "I think I'd like to witness these...time management...skills you're boasting about, some time."

Zahara gaped at him. "What do you mean wipe out Vesendar? You can't do that Malik?! We have business there, they are the drow of the Underdark." A shake of her head. "They brought back his polearm and asked you not to destroy their home...and in return you are going to do just that." But as Piper came in the room she stepped back. Maybe Piper could talk him out of this foolishness. She slowly made her way back over to Sevilin and crawled into bed next to him shaking her head. "He can't Sevilin...I have people I know there..Nadai and that other girl...and..." She trailed off unable to speak for a moment. "Maybe I could talk to Nadai...get something working or something...I don't know..."

Arthur had no reason to worry about the kids in the nursery, right now they were still gasping over little Z's broken arm or something so he didn't have to worry about one popping up to bug them. "Well good cause I don't like to waste an offer..." Though he had his own grin on his face when Isle turned her head towards him, her soft lips just there and all he had to do was lean a little forwards and...but it seemed Isle had other plans since she just turned away without giving him one kiss, oh well he could probably get one later if he tried a little harder. "Well trust me...just think of the attention on the boat and apply to a more...comfortable setting...then you'll be getting some where Isle." He said with a light chuckle as his fingers still tugged at her straps, he liked holding her like this it felt nice but too bad they were somewhere more private right now, but that's the way things were so he would have to deal with it.

yes he was fuming.
"and that one woman, her arrogance, like I couldn't touch, or wouldn't dare act out agaisnt her or that little spit of a village, as if I was incapable of it...I'd be happy to gut her alone, but I don't think she's going to be simply handed over...oh no. not with that kind of power at her fingertips they'll protect her skinny ebony arse."
Before pouting into a chair.
"But you want me to not destory that place, do you. I don't even have to leave the fortress. I can send a legion of undead and breakers there and be done with it."

"Oh really? Well I'll have to keep that in mind, now won't I?" Elbowing him off of her some perhaps just to tease him because she could. "But as I once here, good things come to those who wait and waiting makes everything better given the right about of time and...anticipation. Yes?" Tilting her head at him in positively innocent manner.
He watched Piper drag Malik off and then watched Zahara as she crawled into his bed. Hell he didn't know what to do either...though he did find it surprising that Malik jumped right to that conclusion of what he was going to do to the place. It was rare that Malik did such a thing these days. So then he merely brought a hand up, resting it against her cheek and brushing his thumb over her skin, giving her some kind of reassurant look.
Her look slowly dissolved into looking like he was crazy. "Malik do you even hear yourself?!" Giving him a shove before he sat down, mainly because he was yelling at her and she wasn't enjoying what she was hearing. "Everytime you put on that damn armor and get that damn sword, all of a sudden you're the bloodthirsty general of the army back in Neriak again!" This was going to be one of those times where she wouldn't apologize for what seh was going to say, be it because of the head injury or she felt she was in the total right this time. "You're letting a handful of arrogant drow get the better of you! Vesendar isn't even near here, it's across the water! One rag tag group who think they can just call what they want their's has you on a conquest to raze some place!" She was well acquainted with Vesendar actually...she did business there...well she did it through Zahara there. Frankly she was amazed he had the audacity to more or less threaten her with the fact that he didn't even have to leave. "You think this is about you leaving or not? And who do you think is going to be first to be blamed? Us of course. Now if you like putting your family in danger and all that you've worked for on the line then go ahead and do it Malik!" She was positively hostile about this. Putting her hand to her head a moment in perhaps the ability to ward off a headache or something of the sort. Did he not hear himself viciously plotting and such. "Then again what I'm going to say against it isn't going to matter is it, because you've already made up your mind. Haven't you?" That look of course that said don't try to lie about it now because she knew.

She wasn't feeling very comfortable about this and she shook her head, then tilted her head so her lips brushed against his hand. She sat up and dropped her head into her hands. So far today she had dealt with a frightened horse, a child with a broken arm, coming home to see Sevilin all bloody, a concussion ridden Piper and a pissed off Malik and now the possiblity of the few friends and business acquaintances she had made being killed in the space of an afternoon was really making her about to crack. She turned and glanced at him before settling back against the headboard and laying her head against his shoulder. "How's your throat? Any better?"

"Well I hope you do..." He said with a lightly smile but grunted a little when she elbowed him, it made the elf loosen his grip but he recovered and pulled her back into the close embrace once again, Arthur had a happy grin on his face as he looked back into those teal orbs. "Well then fine if I have to wait then I'll wait...and when it finally comes down to the moment..." His hands slowly moved around Isle's body and stopped on her ribs as he had an evil smile on his face. "I'll give you everything I got Isle." And with that he began to tickle her without mercy, well that is what she got for elbowing him a moment ago but he also did it just for fun, Isle's so ticklish and he liked to exploit that weakness.

"This is not about the armor or the sword. It's not just a ragtag group. a ragtag group wouldn't have dropped sevilin like they did. he's a master rune mage. you know what he can do as well as I. and they leveled him."
his voice was calmer now.
"I don't have any intention of putting my family in danger. but one group gets the best of sevilin, and then we have two groups running around killing and doing as they please. if there's no repercussion, they'll think we're weak. if you have a better suggestion, I'd be more than happy to hear it. the only thing they seemed to give a damn about was that village."
A shake of his head.
"Malvolence is hungry. it hasn't been fed in a long time. and it's starting to retaliate by causing me pain. that may have helped my jump to razing a village. but if you have an alternate suggestion, I'm listening. the other two seemed more concerned with keeping my sword in it's sheath. but that one..she outright acted like I coudln't touch her. like she was beyond reproach for her actions. if I coudl get just her, I'd be fine. but she has a great deal of magical power. she even threw up a barrier that stopped Malvolence from gutting her. and if she's 'defending' that place, they aren't just going to hand her over with a 'we're sorry' note."

Wow, she was really upset wasn't she? But it seemed she wasn't going to take any comfort that even he may offer. Though that shouldn't of surprised him, seeing as she hadn't wanted anything to do with him lately anyway. A sigh on his part, turning his eyes from hers. But he cleared her throat. "Not really..." He didn't know what to say honestly, him not being better would just frustrate her. "Don't worry, I'm fine, have had worse."
And a squeal from her as she squirmed as he tickled her with no warning what so ever, holding her in his grasp a moment as she wormed away from him, turning on him and deftly and playfully smacked at him a few times in cute fashion. "You horrid little elf you, that's dirty play!"
"Have you even talked to Sevilin about what happened? I mean everything from the time he woke up and brushed his teeth to the time where you had to go and see what that matter was? Yes I know what Sevilin can do and there is no way that they could get around Andalian runes, which means he wasn't using them Malik!" Though as usual, her voice lowered with his, but hers still had bite to it. "How many times have I told you to punish the individuals and not the flock?" Piper narrowed her eyes a little and crossed her arms. "Not about the sword hm? Sounds like it to me." Putting up a hand to keep him from protesting. "I have been fighting with that thing for twenty five years now. You need to feed it? Then go feed it. I'm tired of fighting with it and about it and I won't do it anymore, I'm done, it wins. You want it on your person all the time, then it can be there. But if you go after her...you better make sure you don't get yourself killed because I'll never forgive you for that. You can't come back from the dead anymore Malik, remember that."

Arthur's grin grew as big as it could get once he heard those squeals coming from Isle, his ears twitched to the noise and he started to laugh because she sounded so funny at the moment. But the elf kept a good hold on her as she tried to squirm her way out of his grip, though after awhile she was able to get away and in return began to playfully smack him to which he still had that grin on his face, she looked so cute while doing that though when she smacked him for the last time he grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her closer until he could wrap one arm around her slender body, he liked keeping her close to his own body. "You may think it's dirty play..." He chuckled lightly as he pulled back some of her hair over her ear. "But I just call it plain old fun..." He whispered as he tilted her head up a little, would he kiss her or was he admiring her good looks? Either way this was a lot of fun and Arthur was loving every minute of it.

"That's not the point, Sevilin..." She felt awful that she still couldn't make him feel better and she just didn't think it fair to accept comfort from him when she couldn't ease his pain in return. But she was running out of options. Slowly she pulled out that vial with the powder in it that Malik had given her and studied it. She remembered the water she had brought him earlier and leaned over him to pick it up off the nightstand. Pouring almost all of the powder into the glass, she shook it to stir it up and glanced down at it. Taking a deep breath she lifted the glass to her lips and took a swallow. She waited for convulsions to start or her body to feel weighted and lethargic or her heart to speed up but nothing happened. Ten minutes passed and she prayed that she wasn't wrong. "I...I think it's okay but you might want to wait an hour or so just in case. It might be a really slow poison..."

"that's the optimistic view. that he just didn't use them. but as the leader of this house, I have to assume that they took him down too fast for him to use them. which means they hit him fast, hard, and dropped him to that condition before he coudl wiggle his finger in the air."
he got up though.
"It's not about the sword. I can deal with T'haen's pain. I'm trying, very hard, to take most of my slaves and make them free serfs. still bound under me, but able to have thier own lives. which means I have to be able to defend them. you've seen the work I'm doing, you've got the reports or trade routes and goods and skills that they are trying to learn and master to earn coin they didn't need before. how are they supposed to have faith in our ability to defend them, if three drow women and a pair of men can march in here and do that to sevilin and just leave at thier leisure?"
he took malvolence off, giving the command word to send it to it's locked holder.
"I've been in charge of armies, yes as a general. but those elves were prepared to die. willing to die for the glory of the Empire. these people I am in charge of now...they aren't like that. they aren't ready to die. they have familes and children same as me, and they want to see those families prosper. I'm sure if I wanted I could do the Neriak thing and train every man woman and child to be a deadly combatant. but I want a kingdom, maybe an empire...that isn't entire revolved around warfare and bloodshed. I don't want my sone to inherit a giant war machine, when I can give him a kingdom that can flourish and show the human empires and the dwarven ones what elves can really accomplish."
a slight smirk.
"If I were to go after her. I know I'm not allowed to die. besides, you need me to manage your books."
