Christmas Eve, it was his first one with his boyfriend in a family setting of Saeki's family members visiting for this holiday that is happening the next day. Had his hands full carrying goody bags for Saeki's family members along with one present to each of them. Honeysuckle syrup for the mother, a multi-tool utility bracelet for the father, a baby leopard plush for the sister made by Patrick based on the baby leopard that was helped by him and Saeki earlier that month. He has been around them the past few days starting at Hiro's party. Despite the earlier exposure, he was still a little nervous about the next encounter. As for his boyfriend, he ordered matching sweaters for them and they were delivered the other day. He was already wearing his sweater and it has an anthro deer couple decorating a christmas tree in front of a fiery chimney. Didn’t have to go to the store today and just phone in to check in on employees. Since it is a holiday he would rather not go into work unless an urgent matter came up. His boyfriend’s house was up ahead a block away ending his long walk of thoughts and nervousness has increased, “Hopefully things will go over well” he thought smiling nervously as he approached the front door.

Saeki’s day had started early. Not just because of Christmas Eve, also due to his family being used to getting up earlier than him since he moved to Soleil. After all, they still ran the hot springs back in Japan. The young man hadn’t minded. He was eager to have the best Christmas Eve ever with his boyfriend and family. Saeki had been busy putting the last hand on cleaning with his sister while his mother had started to prepare the kitchen and meals for the evening that was to come. His father had arrived by now too and had his initial meeting with Patrick. He was still a bit divided himself. While he was glad his son had met a partner that made them happy, deep inside he had hoped it had been a female. Not that he was the type to make trouble over it. He was quite open minded for a traditional man, yet glad this happened away from the eyes of their customers.

It was complicated, but he had accepted Patrick as Saeki’s partner, much to Saeki’s relief. He hadn’t been sure how his father would react to him having a boyfriend. With all that out of the way, the day towards Christmas Eve went smoothly. As the evening approached, they were all sitting on the couch of the main living room, while the scent of cookies baking in the oven wafted through the house. The sound of the television was soft, but it was on a channel that had a Carol show going on, filling the room with Christmas songs. The first indication of their company came when Aki suddenly sat up, his ears perked as he looked in the direction of the front door. Saeki chuckled and got up, quickly moving to the front door as he had a feeling he knew what that meant. And sure enough, when he opened the door, Patrick had almost reached them. Saeki smiled happily and putting on some slippers he walked the last bit towards them.

When he reached his beloved close by in the garden, Saeki carefully hugged them, not wanting to cause them to drop their bags, and stood on his toes a bit to give them a peck on their lips. "It’s great to see you sweetheart. I look forward so much to this evening." he spoke sincerely as he looked up at them with a gentle smile. "Can I help you with the bags?" he offered, letting go of Patrick for now. If his offer was accepted, Saeki would share the load between them, if they preferred to carry the bags themselves then the Asian would just walk by their side into the house. Aki, first held by Akiko who had thought it hilarious when she learned her brother named his dog Aki, now rushed out of the door to greet both and followed them all through the hallway and back to the living room. In the living room everyone was relaxing on the couch and sofa.

Ayame was sitting next to her husband Hijiri and they both greeted Patrick as he arrived, Hijiri just called a friendly greeting, having set aside his wish for a daughter in law after seeing how taken his son was with this man, while Ayame greeted more familiar with a warm smile. “It’s good to see you again dear. I’m delighted to share this evening with all of you. But I best go check on the cookies real quick.” The woman laughed a bit and soon went to the kitchen to see if the snacks were all done. Akiko smiled and waved, having seen Patrick more often as well as she was here earlier too. “Welcome back Patrick. Careful though, once you start on mom’s cookies you may not want to stop.” she teased and chuckled. “I heard that.” came from the kitchen, causing the whole family to laugh, even Hijiri. "You can put the gifts under the trees with the rest for after dinner love. We all placed them there too." Saeki offered. "Unless you want to unpack now, I’m sure none of us worries about the when." he added with a happy smile as Akiko laughed cheerily. Hijiri shrugged and smiled. “It is already Christmas Eve after all.” he agreed. It showed clearly that the entire family valued Patrick’s opinions as well.

Patrick took a second to admire Saeki's winter garden and he could see the warm glow of the lights from the house windows. Looked down to his boyfriend when he felt the hug then smiled at him after the kiss on the lips. "Me too. Couldn't stop thinking about it" he said. "Sure, thanks for the help" he accepted the offer and handed handed over two of the four holiday gift bags. He walked inside the house with Saeki and Aki where he could smell freshly baked cookies and eventually the sound of holiday music reached his ears. Patrick felt welcomed and accepted by the other family members which was something he hadn't ever experienced with his biological family and other relatives. "Their the kind of in-laws you would want to have" he thought contently. He greeted back now that he was much more comfortable in their presence unlike in the beginning several days ago. He waved back to the sister and laughed along with them. The cookies was something he was looking forward to consume during the family gathering of this fine evening. "Alright" he said to the offer after hearing the others' input on the matter. "Although I do want you open your gift now" he answered because he want to see his boyfriend to wearing the matching sweater for the rest of this occasion. There were name tags on the gift bags and one of the bags he handed over belong to his charming boyfriend.

Patrick came back bright early the next day after helping his felines put one of their presents from days ago back at his house. One of the presents with sweaters from Kenzie which they were wearing now as the three of them head to Saeki's house. Of course the two felines beat him to the front door. Patrick had two dessert containers in tow this time, one was treacle sponge, and the other mince pies. He thought he would share a couple of traditional British New Years eve dishes with the others on this day with his beloved boyfriend. Along with sparkling grape juice, since his boyfriend wouldn't be of age to try liquor stuff. Hiro and Emerald started meowing at the door before their human owner could knock on the front door. It was about eight in the morning right now so he was hoping he wasn't interrupting anything if his boyfriend has a particular routine that they do on this holiday. Overall this was his first New Years eve with his boyfriend plus the furry animal companions.

Saeki was sitting on his couch and watching some television. Over the course of Christmas with his family he had gotten used to earlier hours again and he had been up since five in the morning. His family had to return to the springs though, before New Years, so he would celebrate the holiday with Patrick alone, not that he minded. After the usual routine he had made some snacks and had made sure he stocked on drinks for the new years. The Asian was excited. He looked forward to this with his beloved. Aki was laying at his feet, which seemed the canine’s favorite spot, flat on the ground all stretched out. Suddenly though, the dog shot up, his ears perked as his gaze went to the door. The movement was so fast, it actually startled Saeki a bit. But he soon understood and chuckled. "They are really early if it is Patrick you react to." he said to Aki softly as he got up from the couch. The young man walked to the front door and just before he reached it he heard the knock and smiled happily. Soon he opened the door and looked up at Patrick cheerfully. "Good morning Love, great to see you again." Unless the felines had bolted inside already, Saeki would greet them as well. "Come on in. It will be just us for the evening." the Asian said with a wink. He didn't really have extra plans saying that, but he did look forward to having Patrick all to himself again for a while.

”You two are certainly quick on the ball” Patrick commented surprised by quickness to the door opening after knocking on the door. Emerald and Hiro ran inside to play with Aki, “Great morning to you too, young, dark and handsome” he greeted him back. He walked inside after giving his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek. "I’m not staying for too long this morning, but the felines will. I have every intention of staying over tonight. As for now I made us some British desserts and sparkling grape juice" He will be sure to let the felines do their business outdoors before things get too busy outside. "I hope you don't mind us staying over for several hours and overnight" he was confident Saeki would say yes to them staying over for that long. "Brought them with me since I don't know Emerald will react to loud noises and fireworks" he explained why kittens are joining them today. “With our alone time we could get as frisky as we want to” he winked back at him. He stayed around long enough to drop off the food and drink then eat something why he was there. After leaving out he stopped by work to give his two week notice through proper procedure for the store. Went back to the house to pack up his overnight bag and some cat stuff. Returned back to Saeki’s place early afternoon and contently spent the rest of the day there.

Patrick woke up early in the morning to the sounds of birds chirping. Took a moment after opening his eyes to realize where he was and that is his boyfriend's bedroom. He was only just wearing briefs under the cover and hadn't put on any other article of clothing after their bout of fun in bed with Saeki. It's officially the first day of the year and he was in the mood for some hanky panky despite the tiredness his body was feeling at this time. He looked to the side where he had been holding his precious boyfriend in his arms. Wouldn’t be surprised if the younger male wasn’t there because of his morning routine and that wouldn't upset. Although if he was there then he would be ecstatic about it. He has every intention to plant many kisses on his beloved and spend the morning like they were newlyweds.

It had been an active night before they finally fell asleep that New Year. But Saeki didn’t mind at all. He enjoyed the whole event and having Patrick with him made everything even better. Naturally they had signaled the new year in their own way. When morning came, it didn’t take long for Saeki to wake up, still feeling the previous night but he hadn’t left the bed. The young man wanted to spend the first day of the new year with his boyfriend. He had fallen back asleep briefly when Patrick moved and the young man opened his eyes and smiled at them. "Good morning my love. Did you sleep well?" Saeki asked softly, raising his hand and gently caressing Patrick’s cheek. It had felt strange to stay in the bed but at the same time familiar as he spent the time in his beloved's arms.

Patrick was ecstatic indeed seeing his lovely boyfriend still in bed with him. “Lovely morning to you too, dear Saeki” he greeted back. He moved his head to the side a little then began kissing the palm of the hand then the back of it then each individual knuckle of every finger including the thumb. “For the most part. Still recovering from the hustling and bustling of the holidays” he answered him. His kissing led down to the wrist, “Since we both are still in bed I was hoping to love and taste your lovely body again this morning” he said softly and looked at him lustly. “If you don’t mind” he added to ask for consent. Even though they are dating doesn't mean their libido recharges at the same rate as each other so he wants to know if the other is in the mood too before continuing on. “Maybe today we could go to the park to our spot. We haven’t been there for quite some time and I will bring a couple of fold out chair us adults to sit on while we watch our furry kids play” he suggested an outing for them to go on.
