Taya remains asleep on her bed roll, its been ages since she had a decent sleep or being able to sleep while she was out on her own but now, she is not alone and she can finally relax.

Ash of the Ryskke Skaglands
Ash walked back over to the fire slowly recognising a few people around the fire. As he walked he calmly spoke out towards Narx "Hello again Narx how are you and the Lady?" he asked softly as he came fully into sight a few differences from last time mainly a pair of what seamed to be a pair of stone greaves on his legs and a set of stone bracelets on each arm.
"Also my apologies about my absence a heard a rumour while you was in the city about one of my clans ruins and took a quick trip to see if anything was there, found a few new runic spells that might interest you"

Lady Elowyn was always on the same page as Narx. It was good to be back in her company. Though he knew it wouldn't last forever he chose to enjoy every moment. Without her he'd be lost. His insanity would be revealed for all to see if he had no master. Even if they were more like companions, he needed her more than she realized."Thank you Elowyn! It is a joy to cook as always!" Narx packed up his spices into his bags and grabbed a bowel for himself. Talyc seemed nice, well at least he seemed like the kind of guy you would want on your side in a bar fight."Well, Talyc tell us what quest you are on then? Are you going somewhere? or are you from here?"Narx had not seen someone like Talyc before. His people did fit the volcanic terrain of the north and southern skags though. Suddenly a friendly voice came from behind them."Ash? is that you?"It was indeed their new friend Ash who they had lost in the chaos of the arena. Narx jumped up and heartily embraced Ash. He just liked him for some reason. Ash rambled on about what he was doing and what he found. Narx ushered him to take a seat by the fire."That sounds like it was a fun adventure! In fact, Elowyn and I are going to travel to the Spires pf Trølei'i tomorrow if you'd like to join us. I hear they are dangerous and a friend would be nice to have!"

[align=center] Narx enjoyed the company of people around him. They were an interesting bunch. He did not really know them well, but he could see that each and everyone of them wanted peace.

Ordo looked over to Narx. He hadn't been talking to him but it was fair enough. "Headed home from clearing out some bandits. And no, not from here. I'm from a distant mountain range." The Den came first for him. It was that simple. He kept checking on Taya. Making sure she was okay. "Talyc is a title and name. It means Death or Angel of Death. Depends what end of the blade you are on." He looked to Narx and stood up. Reaching from his pouch to retrieve his contract and placing a bag filled with thumbs. "This goes to your King and Queen. My job is done." He looked to the fire. Giving a small sigh as he thought of his forge. "My people are neutral and agreed to contract ourselves out to whom ever wishes to pay. As long as the fighting doesn't touch the den."
Elowyn took a spoonful of The stew, the warm liquid Strickland down her throat and into her belly, warming her from the inside out. The quiet of the night was broken by a familiar voice and she turned her eyes to see the Nomad apoaching them. "Hello, Ash. It's good to see you again." Elowyn watched as Narx embraced Ash, a small smile on her lips. "Narx just made some delcious stew, you are welcome to have some if you are hungry." Elowyn then returned her eyes to the fire, watching the flames dance in the night. Orange and yellow and gained the blackness of night--mesmorizing. She listened to Talyc's story, her eyes flicking over curiously as he pulled out the contract.
Taya flinches as she curls up into a ball as she slept more. She dreamed that she was back at home but this time, it was calm then she looks around then she thought,'Where..' then her ears perked as she then turns around and saw her older brother walk up toward her then she places her hands over her heart then her ears lowered and tears form then she mumbles,'G-Gabe..' then he faded as she tried to reach out to him but was too late.
The dream soon turned to a nightmare then she looks around her then she shakes her head as she places them on her head as she then heard laughter around her then her father's words soon came to her saying,'You are mine no matter where you go..I'M COMING FOR YOU!!' then she gasped as she woke up as her eyes scanned around her then he places her hand on her head then she mumbles,"just a nightmare.."
Ash smiled and nodded to Narx and bowed to Lady-Elowyn before he sat after taking his cloak off and spoke softly "Sure I will accompany you to the Spires it has been a few months since I have been around that area,"
he pulled a bag from over his shoulder and pulled out a roll of parchment and began to read to pass some time and letting the others continue seeing as he interrupted

It was the next morning. Narx had fallen asleep without a memory of when exactly he had turned in. He sat up and stretched his arms out in the air. A yawn escaping his mouth. Today they would head to the spires. There was still the matter of Talyc's contract to talk about. He was pretty sure he had pushed that off till this morning at least. He started to make breakfast for everyone. He was gonna propose that Talyc came along with them. His friend Taya was not the most suited for battle it seemed. She had some kind of PTSD. Narx set out several bowels of food and waited for everyone to wake up."Rise and shine beauty beasts!"He wasn't overly excited for what was to come. In fact he had a looming feeling that something bad was going to happen.

Ordo hadnt slept that night. Not out of distrust for the company around him, but in hopes to ease Taya. He had stayed close to her, even let go back to sleep on him. "I'm not a beast." He grunted out. He looked to Taya and nodded. "Time to get up. Another long day of traveling." Slowly getting up himself he stretched a little. His bones popping as he did so. "Looks like it should be a nice day. But we'll see through out the the day..."
Taya soon nods her head as she rolls up her bed and strapping it tight as she then stands up, she made sure she gotten everthing, she picks her harp and straps it on her hip then she looks at Ordo,"Yes indeed it is a nice day..," she then looks up at the sky then she said again,"let's hope that the weather is on our side today,"
Elowyn awoke to Marx's voice, which wasn't uncommon when they were in the road. She pushed herself into a sitting position before stretching out her arms and legs. Narx had already began making breakfast for everyone over the fire. "Good morning, Narx." She smiled and then turned her eyes to the other two Who had woken. "And to you, Taylc and Taya." Evelyn picked up her bowel of food and began eating. They had a long journey ahead of them today.
Ash woke from his sleep and rose from he crossed-legged position and began to stretch the kinks in his legs out before he spoke "Morning all," his voice soft as he looked to the early morning sky his eyes glasses over as he muttered lowly under his breath before they cleared up "Today is a good day to travel for the most part, however this evening seems like a small storm might blow in if I'm right"
He sat by the fire and grabbed his bowl before pulling out a small waterskin and ate quietly thinking over what he'd seen over the last few days
Many nights passed as she rode with the officer, the end result of her trade was far short of what she sought but she did at least get some additional lessons in guiding a flying beast and all its little nuances. But upon reaching her destination it seemed that rain shadow deserts were typically preceded by cloud covered mountains and in this case a storm attempting to form. This low ranking gryphoneer and his greenhorn gryphon were hardly ready for this so for her to proceed without sending him too much further out of his way meant going it alone from this point. Luckily the Gryphoneer had a spare knife and a bit of food to help get her started, this would be enough. hidden by the mist of the mountains she'd set up camp noting that they weren't exactly huge mountains, large hills really. She could make her way down easily but it was good circumstance that made this initial spot great with little to look forward to once she left it behind. The only thing her body reacted to however was her own excitement.. she'd hoped it would be something more magical for whatever reason but she could hardly even enjoy the view of anything except the base of the mountain beyond the fog which seemed very desert like... it was odd that there was such a moist location on this side of the mountain despite what lay beyond it. Using this observation she collected any unusual looking plants she could find and stored them inside her lantern case that had the alchemic gryphon feed residue still in it.
Some time later Faliae found that there were some good supplies in this patch of mountain forest and unusually strong winds partly due to how spaced out the trees were as one went deeper into the valley area. Using what she knew about flying creatures she could likely come up with some way to glide much further into the unknown even if she couldn't get back up this way.. or maybe she could. She would find out later, the world wasn't that complicated unless you never took a chance to give it a look usually. The trees were moist.. a spark came from her hand as she channeled her alchemic magics and the bark crackled as she touched it beginning to fuse even more thoroughly with the moisture. She created a wood paste she could flatten out and dry out then again and again until she had an unstable tree and some water. At some point the tree's base was too weak and it fell causing some animals to react to the loud sound of a moderately large tree falling, she had needed a large surface area to do this quickly afterall. Faliae's liquid paper paste would quickly be combined with some sturdy branches. The paper would be kept in a container of mountain brush and sticks as it was too thick to flow away quickly, this wasn't its natural state. She'd need to change locations and shape it now using the spare shortblade she'd been given. Hours later she'd made her way to a tree with some vines growing around it and used them as rope to begin binding the pieces for the night hoping to have a glider ready by sunrise.
As the sun rose Falia woke to the sound of snapping twigs from something following her scent from the old site, just a small creature without the fangs to hurt her but something else could follow. She hurried and completed her gliding device. She need more material to make this really work but she could at least keep the paper tear resistant with a lightweight gummy film made with berry skins and leaves. Waving it around she sought to see if it was satisfactory.. good enough in theory but this was a bit of a gamble.. an so she traveled on until she ran into a cliff to jump off.. extensive testing was for people with free time and she was on an awkwardly nonspecific mission at the moment!
((ooc: dice roll for outcome))
Leaping off the cliff she found herself headed down the mountain rather quickly.. actually perhaps too quickly and not anywhere near the angle she'd hoped. The winds were strong, she wasn't a good glider operator, and her supplies and design were a bit heavy. Not the worst case scenario, she could only imagine how heavy the ridiculous steering mechanism needed would have to be, she'd need to study how to make a lighter one but first she had to survive using a handle made of rope vine, in hindsight this wasn't a good thing for such unstable conditions but at least gave her an idea. Pulling herself forward she was able to abruptly shift the dirty beige colored glider to the left to redirect the this strong airflow to underneath the glider so it could fall in a sidewinding fashion and crash into the cliffs instead of at their base in the worst case scenario but this was also not the best outcome. Forcing another jerk turn again she lost some altitude but was able to kick off a cliff rock and avoid a crash as she sailed along the wall off into a faroff area in the valley for a moment before it began to try to nosedive again but at this point she'd avoided a crash at the expense of having much control over the glider. The ground wasn't far but that wasn't her destination. She'd manage to grab onto a flexible treetop which would stop her momentum a moment but she also tried to hold on to the glider which was catching the wind at this height. Causing her grip to quickly slip as she went flying towards the ground again, now atop an out of control large piece of floaty debris in the wind she had a free hand and tried flipping it with her steam magic drawing the moisture out of the back and base, her glider was lighter now but would partly shrivel and dry up, the steering mechanism would as well. She'd manage to flip it over and stop her nosedive but was now simply sinking in midair while gripping into a pretty busted flying machine into the ground again. It was fortunate that the forest density lessened as she approached the base of the mountain... after crash landing she rolled into some dirt and what little brush happened to be there. There wasn't much to grab onto but the steep area wasn't exactly a death sentence so much as the location as a whole. Roughed up but alive her first thought was that the grass she transported the paper in could be used to guide something lightweight. She gathered her things and tried again.. one of the perks of being very adept at handling materials was that even when they broke one could find more use. It was mostly in tact as it was a simple device, she patched it up with materials from around not really worried about contours too much as long as she did nothing crazy. Faliae instead took extra time on creating a more compact design for shorter distances and magical interaction. She couldn't design a very good glider but she could certainly cheat her way down a few slopes. She cut her finger and made some seals along the edge of the new design an attatched a little slot for small explosive substances on the front and a harness for control. The design would need to be multitier for her to really get too much out of it but this design was at least good for her current situation. Headed to the next cliff and the next she could conjure a steam cloud to strap beneath the patched up fabric and glide down to another level of altitude down into the valley..
While it didn't go far this allowed many shortcuts to be taken and it gave her a chance to practice with a glider basically strapped to her back by green rope made with grass and a few other materials as she made her way towards where she could see some signs of life in a small village that would notice her fairly quickly and come to see what she was doing. Rumor would quickly spread around of a strange horned elvish woman in old fashioned garbs traveling about the area with weird contraptions. Unwanted attention would be a small price to pay for the rumors and assistance she'd receive in exchange for the story of her trip down from the mountain and showing off her awkward little glider she was working on. Faliae's journey through the skaglands would begin here in this isolated town with no more than 10 living people in it of elvish descent. Children of an old outcast and his bride from long ago looking for new ways to thrive in the wilderness far from the dangers deeper on in.
[skaglands journey begins]
Faliae took some time to work on her design and gather rumors of her own, there was apparently quite a few mercenary types that gathered in these parts as well as a collection of tribal ruins and unusual supply merchants. Using their own knowledge of textiles they'd help her prepare for her trip in exchange for helping them learn to make some new tools for scaling mountains and surviving deeper up the mountain or at least the concepts behind the designs. With a lantern full of random natural materials, a knife, and what had become a foldup crappy glider design with a one time combustible-fueled rebalancing feature strapped to her back Faliae made her way towards a town known for its textiles though another place many adventurers seemed to gather. All in all her speed on foot wasn't exactly impressive, they couldn't afford to spare any mounts from the poor village but her ability to overcome most obstacles with either her gliding device or some other ingenious little magical something made her able to traverse the lands on abnormal paths though sooner or later this would probably draw some further unwanted attention as well as become more challenging as she went deeper into the lands. She was going to need to hire someone to accompany her perhaps as she should have to begin with.

FANTHRALL MURES
Fanthrall's plan had not entirely been stomped to its death. He'd found his prey quite early in the night; had truly been on his way to haul the Cretan - a sturdy, sinewy and monstrous green-blooded beast with long claws designed to grab and tear, and brisk armor-like fur - back to the camp. Slow and steady work even with the ropes for a man whose strengths hardly rested in something too physical. The creature itself was twice his size and he needed better tools to skin it and gather its flavored meat - yet another reason to take his time. However, it appeared that the Skags, as they often did, had different plans for him.
Fawkes had made it half-way back to the camp, feet slipping on loose stones, the promised dinner threatening to roll down the way he'd came, into a quickly darkening abyss that was beginning to look back at the sack of meat and bones, hauling a fresh kill. Fanthrall had no light with him, the darkness quickly draped its soft veil around him, and the sweat on his brow grew cold. The area had always been dangerous to some degree but with the recent flow of people through it, he was willing to swear that it was growing more curious; more interested in sinking its claws into supple flesh and tearing it loose from bones (that was if anything in the area would even bother and wouldn't just crunch up the bones).
The sounds around him drew nearer. Claw and scale scraping against stone, digging marks to be found centuries later; and Fanthrall drew to an abrupt stop, barely having enough reason to hook the ropes to the nearest heavy stones, and back away.
That was how Fanthrall's night ended with running around; chasing and being chased, fighting for his kill until he was beginning to believe the monster had more interest in chasing him down than getting an easy meal. A hunter. Typical of him to stumble upon such a thing with no way to mask his scent or hide his trail. Instead, it became a game of wits. Man versus beast. Which could outsmart the other...
He did.
By dawn Fanthrall was carefully stalking his way back to the carcass he'd been forced to leave, pleased to find that not even the pesky scavengers had managed to gnaw their way through the fur of his kill and had settled to picking at the soft spots - eyes and the snout - and scurried off as he approached.

Narx suddenly realized that Elowyn and him were supposed to have met a ranger with information on their next adventure. The ranger was probably unable to find them with the bustle of the tournament."Elowyn, I forgot but we didn't get our information packet on the next trip, we must first go to Naiøria to collect the info. We will get our next quest there and probably return to the Skaglands shortly after."Narx knew that this meant that he could not bring Talyc and Taya with them as they were generally unwelcome in Naiøria."Talyc, as Naiøria is still not very friendly to people of your race, I would like to hire you for a mission here in the Skags. I would like for you to attempt to stabilize the Skaglands through brute force if you have to."Narx continued telling Talyc about how all he needed to do was find those lowly scumbags (raiders, slavers, bandits, etc) and fight them out of the Skaglands."This will help Elowyn and myself return without too much trouble, also if you could form a group of warriors and/or like minded individuals that would be great."Narx placed a heavy bag of gold coins down in front of Talyc. He knew that he was asking a lot. He was essentially asking Talyc to start a small faction."I will go to Naiøria and ask for double this amount and bring it to you personally when we return." Off in the distance Narx could see Fanthrall. One of the combatants from the tournament. That would be a perfect guy for Talyc to recruit.
