"Oh, okay..." he took note of the location before motioning behind him, as well as swimming to the location of a bunch of jewelry laying mixed in the sand and rocks. "Have your pick."
Once he had done his part, he moved to check the place of the comb and hopefully find one of his own. Not that he would admit it, but he needed something like that for personal use.

Opal sighed and stretched along her little blanket. Sure, she had insisted the little fairie bring her one. Sure, she was a naiad which meant she was used to having beach sand in every orifice until she could build a sand castle with it. Did that mean she had to put up with sand if she choose not to? Absolutely not. She rather liked sunning herself on the beach. On the safety of her blanket.
Why would she want to go diving anyway? She could do that any day of the week. This was a vacation. It meant fun and relaxtion. Not swimming and traipsing about digging in the sand under six feet of water. (( OPal is taking the beach trip. Relaxing and fun in sun sounds awesome!!)) Tocino, nervous bag of nerves that he was, couldn't help but admit that he was excited. He had never been underwater. Except in the bath tub. But he didn't think that that counted. Looking our over the blue ocean from his corner of the boat, he reluntactly smiled. It looked so peaceful. As though nothing in the water would ever get him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tocino tapped the bubble on his head again. This bubble thing was so weird. He had watched the others gather their bubbles and decided it wasn't going to hurt him. Now, he was down, a little lone bacon demon all by himself, digging through the sands by the ruins.
At first, he tought to hide behind their crumbling walls. But as he watched the others, he noticed something. Nobody was paying attention to him. He couldn't believe his luck. So he decided to dig through the sands down by the walls in the midde of the ruins to see if he could find anything. Everyone else was doing it. Surely it was safe...
After a first, he found nothing. But after his first few attempts at digging, he found something. He held it up to the light and examined it. IT seemed to be an arrowhead of some sort. Examining it closely, he realized that it was probably a weapon. He couldn't believe his luck. He had went searching for things and found weaponry. Could his day get any better?
Giving his new weapon a few strikes through the water, he hummed in appreciation at his find. YEs... Nobody would eat him now....
He continued digging in the sand. Maybe he could find another...(( TOcino is taking diving trip and found an arrowhead)) Cadassi sighed, feeling the water beneath his fin. He enjoyed swimming. Wether it was the fin or the pull of the water, he wasn't sure but it drew to him none the less. Maybe that was why he ended up with a crazy naiad for a girlfriend.
Having decided to take the diving trip, he was rather excited. At the mention of treasures, he excitement went up another notch. Though it seemed that the avalon fairies were just using them to dig for things they didn't want to dig for themselves, he could make this work. Maybe, if he found something worth having, he could keep it. It seemed his son got something from him after all. A liking for pretty things.
He choose to explore toward the outside, uper right hand spot of the ruin site. With the way the current was going, surely he could find something over here. Breifly sifting through the sand, he smiled. Pulling up a necklace , he paused to look it over. It seemed to be made of teeth. Large teeth. Poking a tooth or two, he cautiously loooked around. Something with teeth this large was bound to have a cousin left over in the water somewhere.
He shrugged and put the necklace on, not really having anywhere else to stash it. He swam a little toward the inside of the ruins. Sifting the sands there, he smiled when he came across a pale, bone shaded comb. It was beautiful. Intricate carvings. Large teeth. IT was obviously made for someone with hair. Rubbing his own bald head with a chagrined grin, he placed the comb in his necklace. Maybe Leitha would like it. It seemed right up her alley, being made of what looked like bone of some kind.
Moving closer to the center, he continued sifting through the sands, keeping an eye out for anything nice and shiney. (( Cadassi is exploring the bottom of the ocean in the diving crew. Finds some combs and jewelry, which he will try to give to Leitha when they surface))

The next morning, the tiger woke early with a yawn and a stretch, bumping the half-empty wine bottle on the nearby table. He was right; he'd had a good night's sleep and he felt pretty good this morning. Maybe this trip hadn't been such a bad idea afterall? Breakfast was a simple matter, then the announcement of the day's activities. Laying around on the beach? Naps were nice, but he could do that any time. And despite what may think about cats, the tiger wasn't adverse to water. He'd been known to go for a swim once or twice before.
And if there were fish in the waters...
Sure, he just had breakfast, and there was plenty of food on the ship...
But fresh fish caught yourself always tasted the best. Besides, who knew what tasty exotic fish swam in these waters? And so, Kane took one of the boats to shore and made his way over to the diving group.
***
Melek was having a dilemma this morning. Two activities, both sounded like they could be fun, but which to do? He had to decide. Maybe if he headed on over to the beach, he could make a decision when he got there. It seemed a weak argument at best, but at least he'd already be there when he did make a choice, rather than still sitting up on the ship.
The beach stretched out a ways in either direction. On one side, there were Pae'il lounging in the sun, fairies grilling food and serving drinks, but on the other side, Pae'il splashed into the surf, the little swimming fairies were giving instructions, and they were going to go look for treasure! Oh, it was awfully tempting. He was looking back and forth, trying to make a decision when he saw a familiar face in the diving group. Suddenly, he was rushing across the sands, waving.
"Hey! Kane!"
Having finished stretching, Kane was about to head into the water when he heard his name shouted over the sands. On instinct, he froze, wondering who the hell knew him here and was about to bother him and ruin his day. Then, he turned and raised an eyebrow at the angel running across the sands. Who...? After a moment, he recognized the color scheme and relaxed if just a bit. Aiming a smirk at the other blue male, he quipped, "Melek. How ya' doin', kid?" Nevermind that the 'kid' was his height now; he'd still remain a kid in the demon's mind as that was how he remembered him best. Hey, it'd been a while.
"Alright, you?" Melek answered breathlessly, pausing with hands on his knees when he reached the diving group. He'd forgotten how much harder it was to run in sand than on normal dirt and grass. "What are you doing here?" he asked when he could breathe a bit better.
Kane rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. "Resting, apparently." He was sporting quite a few scars these days, but some definitely looked fresher than others. Especially a large one on his thigh just below his hip, and several parallel lines crossing his cheek from his nose nearly to his ear. The rest had been minor enough to heal without leaving any noticeable signs. "Still, gotta' admit, this is a pretty sweet deal these fairies got going so far, innit?" Glancing back towards the water where the group seemed to be prepping to go, he nodded, "Going diving then?"
"Uhh..." Melek hesitated, looking behind Kane and realizing where he was. Then he shrugged and grinned. "Guess I am."
Kane snorted at that, shaking his head. "Come on then, kid," he answered, turning and giving the angel a light shove towards the water. Yeah, he'd heard a bit about the troubles the kid had been through as an adult. But, this wasn't a group therapy session. All he knew is that he remembered liking the kid when he was younger; couldn't have changed much from what he could tell.

Up on the beach, the fairies shouted to tell Pae that there was food ready for all, and drinks aplenty. Down beneath the waters, the exploration continued, the Pae'il finding all sorts of 'treasures', some maybe more rare than others, but some perhaps more appreciated.
In his search for a fishbone comb, Hjortur's fingers turned up more than just sand. He hit something solid at first; small, but heavy. Disturbing the sand further, he would find a bracer, skillfully carved and shaped from solid bone. Shaped as a cuff, it would fit snugly over one's forearm. A large amethyst was set in the center, framed by intricate, detailed, carved designs. Whether ornamental or functional, or some combination of both perhaps, it is hard to say. But one has to wonder when looking at such a piece: with no signs of it being fitted together in any way, where would one find a solid bone so large?
Dysmas's explorations had been paid for with blood; but perhaps the reward would be worth it. The sheltered area created by the walls of coral had been effectively sealed off from most of the shifting currents outside, leaving it mostly undisturbed. Against one wall, a pile of broken coral, shells, and silt had collected and fallen. Within that pile, something shone brightly, drawing one's eye.
It would turn out that the shine came from a pure aquamarine gem, set in a circlet. Small delicate chains with tinier versions of the large gem laced up on them draped in graceful arcs from the sides. It appeared to be a very skillfully made piece, far different from most of the 'natural' coral and bone jewelry being found in abundance thus far, and the gems sparkled, clear as glass, but tinted lightly blue.
Even only a drop of blood, dispersed through the ocean water, is still blood. A sleek shape glided by overhead, momentarily casting a shadow on the sands below...

The demon tucked his wings tightly against his body to streamline his form as he dove for the bottom. Not a lot of fish here, but there were too many Pae'il splashing about in the water. He'd have to move away before he'd find anything, likely. Still, swimming along the sandy bottom, following the incline before turning for deeper waters, the demon had to admit...it was sorta' nice and peaceful down here with nothing but the ocean in his ears. He'd noticed the other Pae'il picking up shiny things from the sand. He wasn't personally interested, but when he spotted a woven kelp cord with some sort of large tooth hanging from it, he couldn't help but think of Nyra. I'm becoming such a sap, he told himself, picking up the trinket. To be fair, when he spotted another strung with small carved beads, he grabbed that too, this one for Vika. Alright, enough souvenirs, he told himself, wrapping the strands securely around one wrist.
Deeper he went, still finding no fish, but he did come across a tattered net. He wondered how useful it'd be at first, given its appearance, but though it looked worn, when he tested it, it still seemed strong. Interesting. And, though he hadn't seen any fish, he had seen an oyster bar on his way down here. It had been years since he'd had oysters and it had only been once. To have such a treat again...
At least, he thought that's what the odd little objects were that looked like stones growing on other stones.
He turned upwards and started heading back closer to the shore. Now, where was that bit of wall again? A ha! Peering closely at the little grey-black rocks, he found one that appeared just partially open. Just enough to prove they were what he was searching for! Folding the edges of the net up to create a crude 'bag', he held that in one hand, then started grabbing the shelled creatures one by one and snapping them free from the wall where they'd attached.*** It hadn't occurred to Melek what a handicap his large, feathery wings were going to be in the water. It didn't take him long to realize he wasn't nearly as maneuverable down here as Kane, let alone some of the other Pae'il about. He'd waved the demon on (though he got the feeling Kane would have gone on anyway, whether he'd said anything or not), then settled himself into exploring the shallows closer to the beach. There were plenty of other Pae still in the area, as well as the Aquatls, so it wasn't lonely at least! And there seemed to be plenty of things to look at here.
He'd been distracted by some of the jewelry like the others, but after a while, it seemed too common and he lost interest. He'd poked at the oysters in fascination for a bit, but then they'd all closed up and he'd gotten bored again.
Melek had turned on his back, staring up at the sun through the surf. He could actually look at it this way without it hurting, so hey, another wonder of being underwater! It was peaceful here, calm, relaxing...it allowed one to let everything go, let go of distractions, and focus...
Turning over again, Melek's eyes lit up. What was that? Darting for the sands below once more, he picked up an odd box of some sort. Well, it sorta' seemed like a box anyway, even if it was mostly closed up. He looked over the sides of the box, pausing at what seemed to be a little door. Peeking in, he mused that it'd have to be a house for little bitty fish Pae maybe, then poked his finger inside. He must have bumped some sort of trigger mechanism or something, because the little door suddenly snapped shut. It wasn't enough force to cause serious damage and surprised him more than anything, but Melek jerked and reflexively threw the box away from himself. His finger slid free, fortunately, which he shook a few times in the cool water while watching the box sink back to the sandy floor.
Intrigued now, he picked it up again, being more cautious this time when poking at the now-closed door that seemed much more resistant to opening again.Guardian_Iris Kane took two necklaces/pendants and a net (which he's currently filling with oysters lol), and Melek found a Melek crab trap.

Now this... THIS was pretty cool. Picking up the bracer, her shook it slightly before brushing against it with his forearm to attempt to run some sand off of it before holding it out again. Just... Just what was it made out of anyways (and why was it in some possible lady's room's ruins)? Turning it, he had a hard time beleiving it was what it appeared to be: bone. There was nothing on the sides suggesting that it had been made of two pieces, which meant it was hollowed from something. Were there even creatures large enough to make this possible...?
His thoughts catching in his mind, a shadow momentarily disrupted the faint lighting in the hole, causing him to look up. A moment passed as he thought about it, swimming over to Vash and lightly touching on his shoulder before motioning for him to keep still.
Something in his gut told him this situation was wrong.

Elizabeth had gotten a restful night's sleep the previous night, and she's ready for some serious relaxing on the beach today. Diving? Not her thing. But when she starts to head past the boats, Sodóhka gives her a nudge. Why not go diving?
"Because," responds Elizabeth, "I came on this cruise for relaxation. Diving is terrifying."
You can relax on the beach any time you want, Sodóhka points out. You might see something interesting down there. Besides, you'll get sunburned if you lie out here all day.
"Do you know how much pigment I have in my skin?" asks Elizabeth, holding out her arms. "As long as I cover these bits I'm fine," she says, gesturing to the gold markings on her limbs and face.
"You should still go, insists Sodóhka. You might also learn something.
The temptation of knowledge is too strong for Elizabeth, and she finally climbs into a boat. If something went wrong she's definitely blaming her blasted wolf for it.
Once in the water, Elizabeth finds that the coolness inside the bubble was actually quite refreshing, and there are so many interesting things to look at down here! She's also comforted by the ocean floor being made of sand. If something went sideways, she could teleport right back to the beach where it's safe. Having been encouraged by the aquatl fairies to look for "treasures," she lets herself sink to the bottom and begins sifting through the sand. She sees the other Pae pulling up jeweled armbands and old weapons made of coral, but all she finds is a lump of seaweed. She pulls it out and shakes it around to knock the sand off, and she finds that it has a much more distinct shape than just a lump of kelp. It appears to be woven, somehow. Into a pae-like form?
Startled, she drops it. She watches it float back to the ocean floor, realizing that it's a doll, in the form of a Naiad. She looks around again at the ruins they're exploring. This was someone's home, once. They must have fled in a hurry when the island landed on top of it. She looks at the doll, and picks it up again. This belonged to someone. It didn't seem right to take it from here.

The angel watched his new friend go to where he had motioned for only a moment before he himself had turned to the area they had motioned to. He was focused on seeing if there was anything cool there, seemed mostly just different 'jewelry' made from shells, coral and the like. He did like the ones he found made with shells and was examining a necklace made of small shells and little beads when his shoulder was touched. Looking up from where he crouched at the naiad he tried to motion a 'what' not knowing that his fellow explorer thought something was amis.

After a rather engaging time in the casino (re: she became addicted to slot machines, even going as far as taking chips out of other Pae's cups) Dagen lost track of her original goal: to find the tables filled with food. She'd fallen asleep in the casino, which meant the fairy attendants had to carry her back to her room. Hard to believe a wild, feral pae slept so hard.
When she woke up the next morning, she freaked out not knowing where she was. It wasn't her fur pallet back home. She'd never slept in a real bed before, covered in sheets and blankets. She may have shredded them trying to get out of them. After a few minutes, she realized where she was; that room the fairy bug took her yesterday. Only there was no food trays and no fairy bug. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she got up and stretched and looked out the round window. Water. She started to breath fast and heavy, and turned to bust out of her door. She ran in to the hallway, bumping into another Pae, "Where land go?" She grabbed the poor unsuspecting Pae's shoulder and shook her. "WHERE LAND GO?" The pae could only point down the corridor towards the stairs up to the main deck. Dagen, not gentle at all in her panic-mode tossed the pae to the side and ran up the corridor.
Don't worry, she's fine, just shaken up a bit about the assault.
Dagen skidded around the corner and ran straight for the stairs. She took them 3 at a time and made up to another short hallway. She growled in frustration and punched the wall, leaving a nice fist-sized hole. About this time a very unlucky fairy attendant showed up.
"Is everything okay, Miss? May I get you anything?"
Dagen's eyes narrowed and she growled as she snatched the fairy bug out of the air and squeezed him. "Where did land go?"
The fairy couldn't talk; couldn't breathe either, but he managed to choke out, "we're ... on ...a ... boat..."
"WHERE LAND GO?" she shouted at him. Boats, while a concept she partially understood, didn't usually go so far as to make the land un-seeable.
The little fairy pointed in the direction of Telrunya. "We're... sailing ... away ... from ... it."
Fairy in fist, and disregarding the fanciness she did not stick her pinky out this time. She was too furious. She stomped in the direction of Telrunya, out onto the main deck. She squinted her eyes but didn't see any land. Looking at the struggling fairy in her hand, she snarled at him. "You lie. No land."
It was then Dagen heard the announcement about going to the beach or scuba diving, whatever that was. Beach meant land. She gave the fairy in her hand a sour look, then threw him over the edge of the boat railing. "Stupid bug."
She followed the herd and left the boat, thinking about what to do. She still hadn't found those tables of endless food, and her stomach started growling. There was water everywhere and fairies offering air bubbles so she decided to get food on her own since she was starting to think this was a trap. Lure pae in with promises of food, then, then ... then she didn't know what. But surely something.
In the water, the fish fled from her every time she tried to grab one, which only exacerbated her foul mood. Even the shinies she saw weren't enough to make her go get one. She was determined to get food, one way or another. Then she spotted a little air bubble go up from the sand, and a smile crept on to her face. Food. Diving down to the sand bank, she dug and found an oyster. Popping it open using her claws, she wasted no time in slurping up the meat. She dug for a few more, learning she had to no way to carry a whole bunch, so she surfaced a few times, dropping the oysters on a stolen towel (from the sunbathers) so they wouldn't dig back into the sand. During her little oyster farming adventure, she did manage to catch one fish, which she thinks is likely the idiot of the bunch because he swam right up to her.Quote: Dagen went scuba diving and collected a bunch of oysters and caught a fish!

He whispered to the other with a slightly confused expression. "I... don't know. There was something above us that caught the light, and my gut is telling me that we don't want it to notice us." That, and the only stories he had heard of the sea did not imply that it was the safest place to be wandering about, even with another. The queen and her guard of all people had been harmed in it for spirit's sake! Divulging this part to the other may eat at his nerves some, though, so he would just need to trust a fish's instinct.

Dysmas swam around inside the ruin for a little while, just pleased with himself for getting in. His side stung from the salt water in his wound, but it didn't keep him from exploring the place. Dysmas might be shy around other pae, but when he wasn't worried about what others thought of him, his adventurous side shone through. The water angel looked the whole place over thoroughly, looking for any signs of who might have lived here in the past. If someone lived here, he wasn't certain if this was someone's home or what.
When he came across the pile, something out of the ordinary stood out. Dysmas carefully pushed aside shells and rubble, not wanting to harm whatever it might be. The object was slowly revealed to him, and at last he pulled it out, holding it above him so that the light streaming in hit it. His mouth parted slightly, the object looked slightly familiar to him. Or at least it reminded him of something. Dysmas pondered on it for a moment, unaware of the attention he was drawing outside of the ruin. It reminded him of the queen, after he thought about it. The blue made him think of her first, although... water was blue too. But the ornate design made him think of the crown she had worn. This... this was probably really important. He softly slid it on his arm, to keep it safe, holding it close to him as he wiggled his way out of the ruin. He was more careful this time, he didn't need another wound.
As Dysmas made it through the opening, a large shadow passed over him. Dysmas began to look up, "Hey-" he started to say, expecting it to be another pae, he wanted to show off what he had found.

Cadassi stilled, noticing the faint trace of a shadow as it crossed above him. Quickly looking up, he could have sworn that someone was there. But the space above him was empty.
Eyebrow cokcing, he stared at the surface, looking this way and that, before finally shrugging. He guessed whoever it was didn't want to stay and chat. Cadassi giggled at his own joke. The bubbles on the pae's heads would make it impossible to talk to one another. Talking to yourself was another story.
Shaking his head at his own humor, he decided to investigate the shadow. Swimming up towrd the surface, he paused within reach of the fairies and began to look around. He was unaware that he was casting a very large, shark shaped shadow down below. In fact, as he began moving, he was probably casting that large shark shaped on the pae directly below him.
Opal sat back on her blanket, enjoying the food the tiny fairies had made. They weren't bad cooks, though lord only knew where they aquired their skills. Settling back with another crab leg, she watched the waves roll idly across the beach.
Tocino continued searching through the ruin, oblivious to the others for once in his life. He had a weapon. And surely, he would feel the water move if another approached him. Oh yes, Tocino was relaxed for the first time in his life.
Digging down, he began moving the sand around lazily. He was keeping an eye out for treasure, but he wasn't really searching for it.

He lifted a brow at the words of the naiad and looked up, what had he seen? He didn't really see anything there at the moment, was there actually stuff in this water that scared the naiads? He didn't know what could worry them so he just simply nods and stares upwards his items clasped in his hands ready to move. He looked from one side of the open water above him to the other, he didn't feel the fear as the naiad, it was more a curiousity and being ready to move if the naiad was right.

Lisandru did not like the idea of going into water.
Call him a bit ... wimpy if they would, but Lisandru had his own reasons for it--and it wasn't staying away from anyone in particular who was in the water. Or, perhaps, maybe it was? When he was in the water, the poison rather easily washed off of his skin, which was great, because it made him as a whole less dangerous. Of course, if the poison was washed off, it had to go somewhere right?
Perhaps Lisandru was a bit paranoid, but he wasn't risking poisoning anyone, even if the poison wasn't deadly... Anyway, he didn't want to accidentally kill some of the wild life in the water. That wouldn't be very cool of him, would it? These were unexplored areas that were relatively undisturbed by Pae'il like him, so who was he to dive in and start disturbing it? The risk was not worth the reward, even if he was curious as to what was below the waters.
It was that determination that left Lisandru on the shores of the beach, despite the fact that everyone else was under the water. It was nothing he was particularly interested in.
Besides, maybe that Prisma woman would be-- under the water. Then he wouldn't have to worry about her getting in his face anymore either.
When a fairy came by, Lisandru waved them over and asked, politely, for perhaps some shrimp? Even if he couldn't go into the water and get his own seafood, eating seafood other people had already gotten did not sound like a bad way to spend a sunny afternoon...
