Not originally having planned to have joined in the festivities of Halloween, Mei wandered the crowd aimlessly for any sign of friends close by to at least kill some time with. That alone was hard to do, as just about everyone was dressed up for the day. Thankfully, not only was one boil dress fairly plainly, but was also quite predictable. "Tybalt!" Figures that all Tybalt would do for a costume, was throw a sheet over his head. "Dressing as a ghost, are you?" The idea was a little silly to her, considering he was in fact, a ghost.

Riley narrowed her eyes at the ghoul who knocked Canon. She reached an arm out to catch the ghoul if she was falling, but she seemed to catch herself. So instead she pulled her hand back, and prepared to continue the conversation-
Until the ghoul abruptly exploded with words.
Riley took a step back, startled at the string of sounds that could have been words at some point. She tried to catch some of them, catching the meaning behind the last few words. That was enough to make her realize the ghoul had met her before. She stared, vaguely worried, as Canon attempted to hold it all in and managed to swell up because of it. All in all, spending the last few minutes in the presence of Canon had been the most exhilarating and horrific time she'd had since she was in her cell in the bogeymen's HQ. She chuckled weakly, and gave the ghoul a nod.
Very well met, my dear. Although I do not have the zest for conversation that you do, I confess it pleases me to hear that you are that happy to see me.
Whatever their relationship had been before she'd died, Riley was sure she'd made an impression on the ghoul
Freya growled playfully at Shun, and held up her blades, bending them in a come hither manner. "Yeh wants teh tests my mettle, little boil?" She challenged, grinning toothily. "I don't minds a little knifeplay with yeh as well, let's go." She snapped her blades out, but she was nowhere near him, so really she was just prostrating like a peacock.
In truth, she had no real desire to get into a knife fight with Shun. And she had no skills with her silly knife hands, either. But she loved a good challenge. She'd play the game as far as she could.

When the broken doll called out, the black dog fumbled his mostly empty trick or treat pail, nearly dropping it on the ground. He had hoped he would catch one of his friends here, but he hadn't expected them to pop up right behind him like that! How did she even know it was him? This costume was supposed to be fool proof!
"That's umm... A classic ghost actually." He corrected, phasing one hand through the sheet to wag a finger at her. "What are you," He tilted his head at her. "a nurse?"

A few buffering bodies was exactly what the witch needed to bring herself back to realizing how very fun Halloween night was. All the excitement and all the joy and all the essence of living was enough to bring Belladonna back to smiling, almost as full as she usually smiled. It was enough to make her want to stick this night out, and not lock herself away like she'd promised she wouldn't. A few minutes more of just sifting through the crowd was all it took until someone called her name and the witch shifted between people before she stood before Grendel. For a moment she only stared at him, mildly confused about what fate would toss her before him, but finally the witch figured at least she wasn't alone. With a small smile the witch tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, and managed a small smile. "Grendel, it is so good to see you again. I hope you have been well." Her voice remained warm even if she could not meet his eyes. "Lost? Not so much as... Well, wandering is not a bad thing, you know." It was treacherous, but still Belladonna found herself rocked back onto her heels. It was fun, innocent fun as she flashed the smallest of smiles up at the vampire. "Have you had a fun night, so far? I went Trick or Treating! I collected quite a lot of FEAR!"
Xiu smiled and opened her mouth to reply, but when she noticed a familiar figure off to the side, her words died on her lips. There was a lot of staring, and then she croaked out a weak "excuse me, I'll be right back" before rushing off. She did indeed intend on returning after a few minutes, but right now she just needed to...
The baku suddenly launched herself at the poor zomboil, quite possibly headbutting him in the process. Her arms wound around her friend as she gave him a tight hug. "Alex! Alex, you're back! You're back, and you're safe, a-and..." She trailed off, staring up at him with wide eyes just to ensure that it was him. Just as Red had said, the students who had been taken were not truly dead.
Where was Yin? And Belladonna? Did they know yet?!

WHY did Robert keep getting the same goddamn golem. Okay, he had to admit, he was a LITTLE bit taller this time around. BUT HE WAS STILL A SHRIMP. A LITTLE UGLY DEAD THING. UUUUUUUUGH HE NEVER WANTED TO GO ON GOLEM MISSIONS AGAIN.
Was someone playing a trick on him? Did someone - maybe H? Dwight? ********, half the Life Labs could have been doing it - program the same horrible golem behind his back every time he got in a pod? Was this somebody's idea of a terrible joke?
Or did fate really ******** hate him that much?
Whatever it was, Robert was NOT partying, and he was NOT happy. He stormed around, listening for familiar voices, until he heard one that he recognized. He didn't even look at the golem Jude was in, he just crossed his little arms over his roadkill'd body and stood next to him, grouching silently.
Well.
Not completely silent.
"I ******** HATE LIFE."
Robert was not having a Happy Halloween.

The snickered lightly at his reply, and even more so when he nearly dropped his goodies. "Yes, well.. It was the only thing I could really put together in a hurry. However, I seemed to have left part of my costume at home." Grinning, she folded her arms and stared at the boil. "Been hard at work I see." She supposed going about and picking up some of the silver seeds laying about couldn't hurt, especially since she had very few to her name. Then again, she couldn't really be bothered by it.

The zomboil was swaying gently to and fro, content in his own little world. There was an ache in his being left behind by the strange noise and fire that had burned him into existence once more, one that was fed by the heavy saturation of Fear in the air. Fear. Delicious, delicious Fear. Jack, but he was the man who had walked through the desert for days and then was suddenly dumped into the oasis at the heart of it all. Almost drunk with the sensation, he didn't register the feeling of something on his shoulder at first.
Then someone used a strange but familiar word that compelled him to turn and look, lift his eyes just beyond the rim of the jack-o-lantern to view someone else in the same predicament. Mort. Mort is short . . . Mort is short for . . . for Morti? "Death"? But the card had clearly told him he was not dead, as far as being undead was concerned at least. No, no, no . . . Yet it also sounded right at the same time. Dead. Undead. It didn't seem to matter now. "Mort" it was until the infernal fog left his mind and let him think more clearly.
And this was . . . Red tie. Dual-colored hair. Tall and looking as disoriented as he felt himself. The same face he had seen in the card - a friend and ally. Vaguely a name emerged to the forefront of his mind, and he mumbled, "Alex . . .?"
Friend. Zombro. That wasn't something even the confusion could wipe away. Though there was still something more pressing in his mind, something that kept trying to form itself but collapsed either from dizziness, confusion from the celebration, or the unending din in his ears.
Or sudden movement, as one ghoul suddenly launched herself at the guy. Mort retracted away in surprise, quickly hiding his fragment within a coat pocket as he watched them behind his jack-o-lantern helmet.

He was about to reply to Eva but it seems she'd gotten a bit distracted it seems he and Gale weren't the only ones with returning familiar voices. He let Eva and Gale have a moment with their ... selves and then looked around and suddenly a loud voice made him startle and cling momentarily to Eva gripping at her Golem's manchest.
Jude stared down over at where the voice came from and found it to be Robert's golem. He just stared blankly at the smaller figure as he carefully let Eva go and just absentmindedly dusted off the manchest. No homo.
"...Anything we can do to make your life better?" Jude offered.

Looking between the other two reapers, Shun let out a light scoff.
"Freya's been on the receiving end of my blades before," he said flatly while watching the girl snap out the blades attached to her hands. Weapons like that looked a little... unpractical in all actuality. He wasn't all that intimidated by her display and so his hands remained in his pockets. The reaper had no desire to start a brawl during the festivities. Though if she really did come at him, he would respond accordingly.
"You better put those away before you end up cutting some stray scareling."

The black dog snorted. "Doesn't this mean I put more time and effort into my costume then? Hmm?" Of course, it didn't change the fact that he was still in fact, wearing a bed sheet.
"You might say that." He puffed his chest out proudly before he phased both his arms through, along with his pumpkin pail and showed the broken doll his collection of goodies. "I found six silver pumpkin seeds and some candies! They had a massive pumpkin at the center of town square before it exploded and flung treats in all directions." He paused. "Though umm, I'm not sure if we're supposed to take them. But uhh..." He raised a finger to where his lips were beneath the sheet and made a 'shh' sound. "my secret is your secret." No doubt he was also grinning under there as well.

Now that Joy was no longer at critical mass, the Skark seemed to be able to carry on an understandable conversation with her very first, and much beloved Amityville 'research' subject. She took a moment to tuck the fluorescent red blouse back into her lederhosen, and walked around Riley, giving her costume a more detailed examination.
"I think this is probably the best night I've ever had in my life! My first Halloween at Amityville, and there's pumpkin seeds, and there are somanypeople to research, and you're here, and I got to go on a very interesting adventure in some fog! Did you make this? I like your beak, but what are you dressed as? I'm glad I stopped to talk to you, I don't think I would've found you otherwise. You're completely covered! Oh, do you like my costume? I'm a human! With a cape. A human with a cape."

Alexander was, albeit slowly, closing in on the slowly swaying figure that really was not all that far away but which the crowds were making it nearly impossible for him to get to. Add to that the fact that he suddenly found himself being attacked by a petite figure who's warm arms were now latched around his waist and he pretty much had to give up on closing the distance altogether, thought not before hearing the figure say his name in a voice that told him that yes, that most definitely was Mort. He needed to get to him, and eventually he would.
But first he appeared to have a very distraught baku to deal with. "Yes, Xiu." Alexander was having no troubles with his memories like Mort seemed to be, though his brain function did seem rather dimmed and subdued, almost numb really. It was probably just a defense mechanism. Too much happening. Too much stimuli all at once. Too much to take in. This was just his brains way of keeping him from completely freaking out, because he still had very little idea what was happening.
"I---I'm back, yes." That meant that he had indeed been gone. But for how long? The festivities hinted strongly towards this being Halloween. But that...that seemed rather impossible, really.
"I...." He stared down at the ghoul, helplessly, letting his confusion, his complete and utter lack of understanding, show in his one visible, pale eye.

Kettil let Freya make all the posturing she felt she needed to do though he did reach up and lightly poked at her shoulders with a small smirk before he turned dark green eyes back over to Shun, "That so? Well then. As long as she learned something."
Like how to avoid blades. That was always important.
Kettil just knew he was more than a few leagues behind than both of the Reapers he was standing with. "What are we going to be doing tonight?" This question was more or less directed at Freya.
