If not, I fear we won't be able to make it out of here alive." he said as he stared at her, "I heard what you had to say, and i told you what I had to say, so I want you to decide. Should we remain as we remain partners or should we just end it here?" he asked, looking over at Anastasia as she left. She said before glancing down at the ground below "You are one of the ones who was hurt from all of that." So no matter what happens, I will continue being your partner, I will continue protecting you, even if you don't want me to." he said as he then looked up at the sky, "But if you should ever do the things you did today, and as a result endanger the lives of others, just because you were weak. Sighing, he would turn his back, "I'm sure about this partnership, but it seems as though you are still the one who have problems with it." he said as he chose not to look back at her, "If you wanna say something, then say it. She said simply before looking up at him "I am sorry for not being a strong partner... some the words I said earlier were pretty cruel. The madness twisted a lot of it around but I know that really doesn't change the fact that I said it." She told him. "The whole thing I said about why you were my partner was especially bad in my head... and I thought that a few times before sadly. I am glad you are my partner though, I may not act like it sometimes but you have helped me and changed me over this time." Even when I want to help, I choose not to, because I know how you will react, but partners are supposed to rely on one another, something you have not been doing." Atticus would then stop in front of her, "After what you said to me earlier, I honestly don't see a need to stay with you, aside from the fact that you are my meister, but that is it. We are too different. No matter what you say or do, I don't really think that we have any other connections to each other besides that of meister and weapon. You have made a fair amount of mistakes in our partnership too. I have stayed by your side this entire time and when I make a mistake and slip up terribly you make it sound like I am the worst human being on earth..." She said "You stabbed me in the shoulder, said things similar to what my last partner said before he left, basically forgot about me multiple times, and I am still here aren't I?" She asked him finally looking up at him with a frown "A regular spoiled brat would have left by now after all of this, find another partner, not me. I see something in you, I have seen your good sides, bad sides, almost all of them. I even experienced what you felt all these years in a matter of minutes." He recalled the first moment that they met, him becoming a demon, abandoning her in the process. Sighing, Atticus knew that she was right, but that still didn't justify her words and actions. Going up to her, Atticus would sit down next to her, but would not look at her, "You are right. I guess I have nothing else to say." he said as he looked up at the moon, "I am the one who is the cause of all of this. So I should be the one who fixes it, not you. It is because of my selfish actions, that you have become like this, a pale imitation of the Shira that I chose as my partner. One brimming with confidence and strength.
