I craft posts, I don't write them. So yeah, I'm a little slow, but I always turn out something awesome. My max is about 5 pages, but if I have more to write I totally will. :3 To me this form of RP is more like writing a novel and not just writing a quick back an forth. I want to take my time and make sure my writing is good. Which is why in the role play I created we support quality and try to nuture people into better writing. Sure the pace is slow, but the posting is often good and worth the wait.

plus the waiting makes people learn patience and usually weeds through all the weak-willed quitters so that only the prime, dedicated, or friendly rpers are left.

you might write more, but at least people don't spend a day waiting for one reply from me.
Granted, I could write more if I was so inclined, I do have to have something to work with. There is only so much I can do without having to use other people's characters around me to increase my post length.
I have been steadily increasing my post lengths, and believe me, they will be much longer very soon. Perhaps not your ten pages, but long enough.
And Fever, how could she not like Fate? have they met before? Or does she just not like his reputation?

She doesn't like him based on how you described him. Threatening to rip her tongue out for refusing to go on a quest. That doesn't endear him to her. I'm speaking in a strictly out of game context.
I gotta agree with Presea, learning to wait patiently is worth while. Besides I'd rather wait for a good post then get one that was just tossed off. It's like an orgasm. It always feels better the longer you're teased and the longer it's put off. And again, we're not saying that we want quantity, it's that we want quality. It's like say... Twilight, which was a piece of crap versus Gone With the Wind, which is an accepted literary classic.

kind of like i waited six days for a post from two people on your guild, only to have one of them tell me they forgot to inform me that they wanted me to post six days ago?
rofl
another person that hates twilight....at least the world seems to finally be growing out of that phase....
but I shudder to think of what the next huge fad will be....

...well I don't think I would've put it like that XD but yes, it is kinda like that.
As for increasing your post lengths, what i used to do when i was struggling with length is imagine you're trying to describe a movie scene. Sure you can say he just runs forward, preps his weapon, and fires, but that doesn't exactly carry the full weight. As for noncombat scenes, think about motivation, inner thinking, body language, sometimes even little things in the background that might enhance the post (ex. petals falling off cherry blossoms during romance scenes)
of course, I do realize why this is a problem for you. You made a faceless character who hides behind his mask and gives no information about himself at all and kills anyone who asks XD this is why I like using girls like Amari and Sluc, they're so much more expressive.

...I just play girls because I am one, so that's what I know, lol. I can't get inside the heads of male characters.
The only downside to spending time focusing on a character's internal actions/thoughts/feelings is that you can get caught up in it. I know I've caught myself spending way too much time dealing with just my own character's development and not worrying about the overall plot or interactions with other characters... And that just makes things boring for everyone.

It's a balance, dearies. You must succeed in providing enough detail without too much detail. And also never let a scene be dominated completely by dialogue. Dialogue is flavor, not a crutch.

Yeah it's a balance. We had one rper once who did too much inner monologue and flashbacks and it was boring for everyone else.
also fever, I might have my characters meet yours later just cause i like how you rp XP
