SPACE

"Set a course for Ithor," Rikka commands lazily, more interested in re-plaiting her long blonde hair than the fact that the small corvette is about to jump into hyperspace.

"Ithor?" Isani repeats, vaguely interested. She braces herself for the shift in artificial gravity that marks the ship's jump.

"Yes. He's met up with his apprentice, there," Rikka explains with a shrug. The blonde Knight's grin is feral.

"Apprentice. My, he has been busy. I do remember hearing about that, but not caring too much," Isani replies airily.

"Well, then, have you a plan?"

The dark-haired Sith Master merely arches a brow at the blonde Knight in reply.

ITHOR, TAFANDA BAY

"And that's the plan," Rikka says flatly.

Isani nods, and they leave the ship in opposite directions. The dark-haired Sith goes alone, with an innocently blank smile on her face and her Force signature concealed while the knight wanders away followed by half a dozen black ops in plainclothes.

She meanders along seemingly aimlessly, but her focus is honed in on a familiar Force-signature; it maybe touched with the Lightside, now, but she isn't one to forget these sorts of things.

It takes her maybe ten minutes longer than it would have if she'd taken a direct route, but she finds her way towards Kal Rem and a Twi'lek she assumes is that old apprentice, and walks straight by them -- (a blonde concealing her Force signature nodes imperceptibly in the distance) -- before pausing, and glancing back in a double-take.

"Kal?" she asks, feigning surprise mixed with delight. "Kal Rem?"

Ithor, Tafanda Bay

Kal was waiting for Daesha to respond when he heard someone call out to him from his right. For a split second, he thought that Sith that had tracked him from before had caught up to him. When he tore his gaze away from Daesha, though, he wished he had. Before him approached Isani Loren, who was most certainly a ghost, because Kal had killed her on Kashyyyk. How could she possibly stand before him now?

And yet, she was here, in flesh and blood. She weaved in and out of pedestrian traffic to approach his table, her clothes rippled as she moved, as she seemed to sport a surprised smile at the sight of him. Despite what he thought to be reality, here Isani was, standing before him, surprised to see him on Ithor, in Tafanda Bay. Standing up, mouth agape, Kal was stunned and appalled.

"Isani... Loren...? What...? How...?"

So many questions: How did she survive? What was she doing here in Tafanda Bay? How did they both end up in the same place at the same time? Kal was at a loss for words.

"Well," 'Isani' says with a sad twist of the lips. "We aren't dead - Ali and I. We just... In the fire, well..." Rikka-Isani trails off and makes a vague gesture, something that's supposed to represent the Force.

The blonde, spitting image of Alliandre Kigarin heads towards the three of them. "We lost our connection," Rikka-Isani tells Kal with sigh, as though she hates to admit it but has finally come to terms with the terrible truth.

"So we've been traveling," 'Ali' interrupts brightly, joining Rikka. Wryly, she adds, "And quite alive."

Naboo.
--------------------------------

------

"We must hurry, please."

Everything was in that 'please.' Fear, concern, love. Sam felt it as much as she felt that urgency was necessary, but she didn't know why. Complying with that gently request, Sam hurries along the path to her home. Down the animal path and towards the house it hits her - a singular mountain of dread, and it suffocates her mind. There's no need to respond to Mina when she's asked to stay outside because she will anyways, not wanting to see what lays inside those walls.

There's no Warren in there. Her heart, and something else, tells her he is gone. The world stops. The breeze ceases, long-grass stills, and Sam is deaf to the sounds of birds, insects, and voices within the cottage. Her own breath is the only sound that she hears now, and she remembers.

Knees on the cold metal floor, slender fingers combing through dark soil, Sam reached out with her senses and the force gently probing the sparks of life there. The plants in this place were hardy and stubborn, defying the clean sterile metal of the walls and floors, the roots going deep. To many other, the space would have been claustrophobic, the draping vines and branches of green growing over and around to encompass the floors, walls and old stations of the lab, but Sam didn't mind it. She embraced it. It was a welcome change to be within a room so full of life and the song of the force, a warming distinction from the cold of space.

The hiss of the doors opening some distance away caught her attention and Sam made her way through the hanging and reaching plants to the clearing in the center of the large, spherical room, within eyesight of the doors. She recognized the silhouette of her padawan, her first padawan, and she smiled bringing a dirtied hand up to wipe perspiration from her brow and leaving a trail of green and brown, signs of her efforts.

Once he was nearer Sam turned her head and raised her arm, a flick of her wrist opening a small metal case that had only a moment ago been buried in carelessly fallen foliage. The cushioned interior of the case contained a small, perfectly round crystal. It came to her hand when she called it with the force, hovering above her open palm, her grey eyes focused on the object in a distant, clouded haze.

"Your reverence for life is admirable, a trait that is important for all Jedi to uphold in their practices, but while you admire and protect life it is important also for you to understand the necessity for death.

"Death is a part of us. It touches us, it touches those we care for, and it will always be a part of what we are. Death is our gift. When we remember that, we can never forget how important the preservation and protection of life is.

She's through the door, brushing past it without reaching with her hands, and the vision of vibrant plant, trees, and life fades to leave her at the mercy of reality - Death. Cold. Grief, powerful and profound, shreds her. The part of her that lived here, with him, is screaming and it is all that Sam can do to not echo it. Stumbling past Kennero and Mina she lands on her knees at Warren's side and rolls him to his back, looking for his face. His eyes are lifeless, and Sam buries her face into his chest with a sob.

With a rush, the world around her returns to normal. Ambient sounds of the cottage are harsh to her ears, as is the breathing of the woman laying on the floor on the other side of the table, and her head pounds with a burst of emotions. Grief and loss claw their way out from her heart and release a flow of tears onto the material of Warren's shirt, staining the material dark.

"Oh Warren," She manages, barely a whisper. "I'm so sorry.
I'm so, so sorry."

It happens so fast when it comes that she barely has time to recognize it, to leash it and reign it in, but when she raises her head she knows that there is no concealing it's presence. Anger, deep and dark as the day she watched Oran die, burns a protective barrier around her heart. When she speaks her voice is haunted, "Get her out of here."

There's no mistaking who Sam is referring to. Isani's tool, the instrument of the Darth's intent.

Ithor - Tafanda Bay

Her hand slipped down below the table, taking residence close near the holster on her belt. She had just taken a seat, contemplating on Kal's assurance of them probably being safe here, when two women had shown up. They had drawn a strong reaction from Kal and she had not often caught him at letting his emotions slip. Let alone appear to be dumbstruck.

Alarm bell's began to ring. Something felt off about this. Like when she dropped off a shipment of spice and this strong gut-feeling told her that this time the client had no intention to pay for it. Usually she wasn't wrong about it. She'd trust this feeling any day over what she might or might not sense with the Force. But that didn't mean she'd let her suspicions slip.

She raised one leg over the other, and sat back comfortably.
"Kal." She spoke up to get his attention. "Aren't you going to introduce me to your... friends?" She asked, speaking the last word in a manner of assumption.

The Corruo

She could see the images in her mind all too clearly. Perhaps impart of her own memory. Her fingers slid over the ID tag as it was mentioned. For just a moment, other possibilities of use for this card came to mind. But the risk of trying felt like more than she could handle, she'd be caught for sure.

The message had been all too clear. To make sure she was unable to follow her, meant to shoot her. Two fingers indicating the spot to aim at only assured her of that meaning all too painfully. Yet, her hand had already drawn the weapon from the holster. As much as she disliked doing it, she understood she could waste no time or sympathy on the woman. Doing so would make undo all the help she had given the blonde.

It pained her to know that she would probably never find out why this woman had helped her, or even what her name was. But time was short, a loud impact on the floor of the elevator announced she literally had only seconds. She couldn't do so much as embrace or hug the girl to show her gratitude for what she had done, so she merely mouthed the words of 'Thank you' as she fired the shot. Not wanting her words to endanger Morbella should they find the ears of the one coming after them.

She didn't look back, unwilling to see what she done to the girl that had helped her. It felt wrong to just leave her behind like that and deep down she felt like she should have been more capable, then perhaps hurting her could've been avoided. But it was too late for that now, perhaps one day she could repay the woman for her help, but at the moment she did not have the skill to do so. So she walked off in a quick and steady gait to follow Morbella's directions, straight to the recruit hangar. The IDtag proved to have it's promised worth.

The Corruo - Private hangar

The smile of delight was still on her expression. She preferred to be out there, rather than to be stuck on this enormous stardestroyer, but sadly, leading an Empire required for business to be taken care of on here as well. But for now she'd had her fulfillment of being out on the field and it was time to return to the Corruo to oversee other important matters.

As her ship set down on the hangar floor, it was a matter of seconds for her to exit the craft. Others would take care of the necessary maintenance and the sort, she didn't need to bore herself with such tasks. It was quite funny, actually. There used to be a time when she could work on such things herself for hours on end, now all such things seemed like a bother. Perhaps because now, unlike back then, she didn't get a moments rest anymore. There was always something that needed her attention and then there was the matter of educating Sephis in the ways of Sith. But then, sacrifices had to be made for the greater purpose.

She could sense something going on within the ship, but she didn't make much of it. At most it could be Sephis reprimanding an uncooperative member of crew or guard. She cared little to stick her nose in such trivial business. For now, she'd make her way to the bridge.

Ithor, Tafanda Bay

This was... Impossible... Kal had sent Ali, herself, to her death, down into the depths of the wroshyr forests, and he'd left Isani for dead in that burning building, oh so many years ago. And yet here she was, standing there, looking at him, just as Isani was. Kal took a step back, his mouth agape at the situation.

"Kal, aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" Daesha asked, speaking up to get his attention.

Kal barely shifted his head to look at Daesha.

"Jedi... Jedi Masters Isani Loren and Alliandre Kigarin... They're both supposed to be dead..."

Kal took another step back, into his chair, and stumbled into it. He was absolutely stunned and mortified by this scene. Two corpses, perfectly reanimated, standing before him, as if nothing had was wrong, especially considering Kal had tried to kill them. There was a disconnect between what he knew and an the apparent reality.

ITHOR, TAFANDA BAY

"No," Rikka-as-Isani says with a soft shake of her head. "We are Jedi no more."

That much is true enough - Rikka had never been a Jedi, and Isani is Sith once more. As Ali, she smiles softly, albeit sadly, her illusory face as easily manipulated as her true one. "Do you feel our signatures, Kal? An encounter with the Brood has left us as ordinary women."

Were it truly Ali who had lost her Force connection she would have smiled bravely and pretended as though it didn't matter, though a deep sadness would have sat with her. But soon she'd accept it and find a new way to help others -- this much, Isani knew. Ali hhad had a good heart; Isani mimics the wavering, brave smile Ali would have had.

"You must be Daesha," Rikka-as-Isani says. "Well met."

Evading most, destroying what she does not, Mabysyn finds the Correllian freighter awaiting her within the prison's main hangar. With the Force as her ally once more, and speed her priority, she does not hesitate. Aboard -- a quick phase later -- she finds the controls eager to respond, unrestricted by passcodes or security. Seating herself at the controls she frowns, her desire to be free clearing from her mind enough to surmise that all of this is far too easy, but, reminding herself that freedom - not matter if it is gained or given - is still freedom, she opens the controls and brings the ship about and out -- to space.

The stars before her threatened to enthrall, but her focus was required for the asteroid field. Such a tricky and bothersome place, she'd often avoided entanglements involving Malachor V because of the unstable gravity wells.. but, once clear of them, she engaged hyperspace with plots bored into her memory -- Corruo.

Soon, she would return to Venia. Soon, she'd return to the Sith. And very, very soon she would return to herself - Darth Neiva.

In the meanwhile, she left the pilot's seat for auto-pilot and raised the display screens to maximum. Surrounded by mesermizing lines and swirls of the inter-dimensional space, Mabysyn stood and dreamed of death with a pretty smile on her lips.

Ithor, Tafanda Bay

Kal sank his head in his hands.

"I'm losing my mind," Kal muttered. "I'm... I'm losing my mind. None of this is real. None... None... No, none of it... I'm seeing things... I'm... I'm..."

Kal looked back up at Isani and Ali, and cried out, startled that they were still there. He then fell backwards out of his chair. On the floor, he stared up at them in shock. He was no longer rendered hopelessly speechless, however.

"Ali...?"

Malachor V Space/ Shadow Prison

After some time Ronyo could feel his senses return to him and with that he could also feel, or not feel, the Sith woman nearby. With that the Jedi stood up slowly and began to dust himself off and stretch his muscles out a bit. His strength was returning to him in due order and at the present moment he was not worried about needing it.

Ronyo made his way out of the cell and through the corridors that lead back up to the viewing room. Past that he could see the unfortunate droids that had either tried to stop the woman or did not get out of the way in time. Passing through the security room and down a few more halls until he reached the empty hanger where his freighter had been waiting. The Jedi cracked his neck and rubbed it a bit still getting some of the stiffness out from laying in an awkward position for so long. At the same time Ronyo brought up his COM device and clicked it on.

"This is the Grand Master, Commander everything is done and went surprisingly well. I'll need a pick up though, it was wise of me to not bring my personal ship on this trip after all."

"Roger sir, our shuttle is in the area as requested we will be there in no time."

"Good man Commander, see you in a bit then," with a click Ronyo turned off his COM device and sat down in the wide open hanger.

With a chuckle Ronyo thought for a moment that it was too bad the woman had not wished to play chess with him. Although it might have made the whole endeavor more complicated which in the end worked out almost how the Jedi had planned it out. The next bits were likely to change and move given the hundreds of new variables now introduced into the field. Given all the possible and impossible ideas Ronyo had hoped he made significant arrangements for most of the high risk variables. The highest risk had just been dealt with and everything seemed to have gone well.

The Jedi had managed to push certain things out of his mind and certain things to the front of his mind during that fateful kiss. With Ronyo doing nothing to reset physically he was able to erect barrier and guards mentally to the woman's intrusion. The location to Tython had been hundred percent true and necessary bait to keep the woman more than satisfied with her actions. Now it was a simple matter of waiting, and that was one thing Jedi did the best.

Ithor - Tafanda Bay

"Don't act so ridiculous Kal, shouldn't you happy to see your friend are alive?" She asked with a laugh. She acted amused enough, but truth was she very worried. Judging by Kal's reaction he had good reason to believe they had been dead. Very dead. While small miracles were still possible with those that possessed the force, it was the contradiction these two women had made that caused her to inconspicuously take a hold of her blaster.

The brunette had spoken of a fire that had severed their connection, before the blonde had joined them. Now this blonde spoke of the Brood from about 5 years ago being the cause.

"I must?" Daesha asked. For someone that randomly came across Kal, they were certainly well informed as to whom might be in his company. "How would you know? You with the republic or something? I assure you, the cargo I delivered here is all legal." She stated, but lying about her suspicions.
