The music helped for Ari to feel a little better. She gave Crux a look of gratitude before answering Damien's question.
"I'm not really sure. He's very intimidating."
She thought back to the first time she had met Luferius and how he had dragged Ryn away. Shuddering involuntarily, she continued.
"He also seems really vicious."

"Luciferius must have been angry at what happened to the lord. Do not fear him. He is very loyal and does all he can for the rulers and this kingdom." Damien stepped forward to the queen. "Although, he can be a little uptight at times. It's to be expected when you've seen so much death and destruction. If his demeanor frightens you so much I can talk with him."

She nodded still feeling bad for what had happened in the courtyard. In an odd way she felt that by picking up the pendant, she had done something wrong. It still felt strange around her neck, like it didn't belong there in the first place. Shaking her head, she brought her thoughts to the present.
"I don't want to cause any trouble or put you in the middle of anything. I'll try to be a little more understanding in the future."

"Hahaha...Don't worry my queen. My job is to protect you from anyone and anything. Besides, I believe you'll feel better when you're comfortable around everyone." Damien gave a hearty laugh.

✮For no one will know.✮ Dusk had finally wondered into the castle. She wasn't sure where she was but saw a giant throne. She figured that it would be best to stay away from that. She walked around the room. It was dark. She wasn't sure what to do now. She let out a sigh as her head dropped slightly. She rubbed her temple as she stared at the bottom of her dress. Here golden eyes were glowing slightly in the candle light. She took her parasol and closed it.

Pausing on a note, Crux watched the newcomer enter the Throne Room. The servant placed the instrument down and walked forward. "Hello. Forgive me if I am intruding, but you look as though you are lost. May I help you?"

✮For no one will know.✮ Dusk looked up slowly as her golden eyes shone more brightly. She looked at the person before her and made direct eye contact as she tilted her head to the side slightly. "Is there someone in charge that wouldn't mind talking to me. I am looking for answers. I came to this place because i felt as if something was calling for me. Now i don't know if someone was but i figured if i wondered around till i found the throne room i might find a king." You couldn't tell by looking at her but if you looked into her eyes you could see a sight of confusion.

Crux nodded politely as he listened to the woman's story. "I'm afraid that the former Lord is no longer with us." He gestured to the girl seated on the throne. "Miss Ari was recently chosen to be Queen." Pausing, the vampire tilted his head in slight confusion. "You say that you felt something calling you? Do you know what type of presence it had? Did it feel human to you or perhaps more so supernatural?"

I would give you a proper introduction but i do not know what my status is. All i know is it was high up. My name is Dusk I am of some high stature in the Vampiric community but do not remember what." She leaned in a bit more closely and looked over him, "You seem to know what you are talking about so for now i shall see what information i can gather from you. First the rest of the calling. It felt as if something very powerful that hiding within the castle was calling me. If that rings any bells." She smiled sweetly and giggled a bit.

Knowing that his position was only that of a servant, Crux bowed respectfully. "Forgive me if I have forgotten my place, Miss Dusk. As to your question, there is only one place within the castle walls that could possibly have some connection to this mysterious call you have received. That room, however, is under the strongest magical wards. No one can enter nor exit without being escorted by one who has exclusive knowledge of the magical barriers. As of this moment, only one person within the kingdom has this ability."

"That would be Tuomas. He is the castle's resident apothecarian, and welled versed in magical properties." Crux closed his eyes and took a deep breath, locating the youth by the scent of his blood. Opening his eyes once more, he gave a small smile. "I believe you will find him in the Dining Hall. It is close by, simply follow the left corridor to the double doors at the end." Giving one more slight bow, the servant continued. "If there is anything else you need, please do not hesitate to ask."

Crux raised an eyebrow in confusion, but nodded still. "Of course." The servant lowered his head with respect for the dead king. "It was a being called 'Nyx's doing. She arrived without warning during one of the kingdom's celebrations and threatened us all. My Lord sacrificed himself in an attempt to drive her away."
