As Ali headed towards the dojo, she noticed a figure outside that looked pretty mad "uh oh" she said as she stopped a few yards away "i knew it, dad's mad" she thought

"I'm coming Ali, I came to explain to your dad why we are late it will help and whoa, it can't be." Tails was in awe at the flower.
"See Tails I told you I would be back." Cosmo smiled.

Ali took a deep breath as Tails said that he was going to explain everything to her dad till she heard him exclaim something that got her confused "can't be what?" she asked

"talking...flower..oookay" Ali said as she looked at the flower in confusion till she looked up to see her father coming "here he comes" she said quietly as she straightened up and held the staff next to her. As Ali's father came over, his figure was that of a husky with black and white fur, he had a few scars on his chest which he likes to show off occasionally, "Ali i told you to come straight home after you're training" he said. Ali bowed a little "i'm sorry father, i was on my way till i heard explosions then i met Tails and he's a friend of Knuckles" she said

"Sir, it was my fault my curiosity got the best of me and well we went to check something and then I return back but got attacked by Shadow so I had to take her to the workshop for the night where it was safe I'm sorry sir." Tails said to him.

Ali's father looked at Tails still looking upset "friend of Knuckles huh?" he asked. "uh..yes father" Ali answered. Ali's father was silent for a bit till he started roaring a laughter "i haven't seen that pal of mine since that huge flash, how's he doing?" he asked as he grinned at Tails.

"Knuckles, I remember him he was the red spiky one, with a temper right?" Cosmo asked them.

Ali's father looked at the flower in shock "talking flowers, don't see those every day" he said, "Dad" Ali started as she moved her hands in a circle a little "huh? oh yeah, Knuckles has a bit of a temper...specially when he looses" Ali's father replied till he remembered something and looked at Ali, "but before i talk more about my friend, you need to start cleaning the dojo from top to bottom as punishment for being late" he said. Ali looked at her father with wide eyes and sighed "yes sir" she said and headed towards the dojo

"May I help too sir since some of it was my fault in the first place." Tails asked.
"I want to help too, cleaning is fun I enjoy it it makes my petals shine." Cosmo said.

"well...i guess" Ali's father started as he thought for a moment while rubbing his neck "but i'm only gonna let you two do the dusting, after all the cleaning my daughter's done, she can never get to dusting those high shelves" he said. Ali was gathering her cleaning materials as her father spoke to Tails and Cosmo and had started to head over to the pump to fill her bucket with water

"So how far do you and Knuckles go back sir?" Tails asked curiously.
Cosmo was humming a song as she grabbed her duster and began dusting the walls and shelves.

"oh a few years perhaps, i was training when i was my daughter's age to master the bow staff that's been with us for generations and along the way, i spotted Knuckles practicing a few moves of his own" Ali's father replied as he headed for the dojo. Ali returned with a full bucket of water and put it at the edge of the stairs, she then put a dishrag in the bucket, placed it on the floor, and got into position and ran around the dojo with the rag in front of her

Ali's father looked at Tails a little confused till he started laughing again "if he's gonna starve he's gonna starve" he said. Ali heard her dad and looked at him in surprise "DAD!" she said in shock till her father held up his hand to have her stop "what i mean is that Knuckles is as stubborn as a mule, if he's got something on his mind, he'll stick to it, it's gonna take a lot more persuation to make him do anything else" he said.
