The doctors were a little baffled at first when the boy had come in, it seemed that it wasn't to often that they had seahorses that came into the hospital to have babies. They did what they could though while one of the doctors sent out for help, to learn more about his race. It seemed that the male seahorse's had a sort of pouch that the baby grew in, it was the the little one moving around, shifting, and basically just wanting out that had been causing him so much discomfort.

Douglas's eyes were squeezed shut, arm laying over them. He was waiting or at least trying to wait for them to show up. Somehow despite them not having any idea where he was, them being out at the movies, he just felt as if they would show up. They had seemed so good, kind, sweet for women... he just wanted to believe all their words about how they were going to be there for him.

He heard the doctor's voices, then that of two women, his eyes popped open and he smiled, his hands reaching out to Rayne and Shana, "Y-You came." He murmured, a smile appearing on his lips.

"Of course." Rayne said taking his hand, "Just had a little difficulty to begin with figuring out what was going on."

He gave a little laugh, "Yeah... was an interesting ride over." He said, eyes closing again, "I hope that your not made at them... it wasn't their fault they were just trying to help me was all."

Rayne shook her head, "Lets not worry about that now." She said, "Let's worry only about you and your baby."

~After Birth~

Rayne was sitting next to Douglas on one side, craddled in her arms was a small girl child. She was sleeping now and hadn't made much of a squall between her birth and now. It was as if she were acceptant of the fact that she had come into the world and was no longer within her father's pouch.

The birth, once the right doctor who knew what was going on and what had to be done, showed up had gone rather smoothly though not at all without its share of surprises along the way. No wonder poor Douglas had such a boundless appetite, no wonder he had gotten rather big. It was because not only was there little Meena within the sea horse's pouch but along with her was another child, a boy child that Shana had dubbed Nereus.

Rayne reached her hand over and squeezed Douglas's hand. There was a gentle squeeze of reply but as it was he was quite tired and exhausted so she didn't try to wake him. As it was the nurses had gone out try to find out what it was that the babies would want. After a while they returned with bottles that held a thick, pink substance in them.

Rayne took one, shook it, then made a bit of a face, "I think I've seen this before." She murmured as she looked over at Shana. It looked like the stuff that Lucien used to eat when he was tiny, when he had first arrived there was little he was interested in eating aside from it.

"It has seafood in it to flavor it enouch so that they eat it. The rest is a mix of other stuff that will assure them the needed nutrients."

Rayne nodded as she gave it to Meena who wrapped her tail around the bottle and started to drink eagerly.

Rayne gave a bit of a smile, "Maybe in a little while. Once Douglas has had a good rest. We don't want to bring a bunch of people in quite yet." She said watching Meena as she ate. When the little blonde was done with her food she turned to look over at Nereus and held a hand out to him and gave a soft, squealing sound at him.

A definate 'come here' to the boy sea horse child.

Rayne tilted her head as she thought on it before taking both of the babies, now currently wrapped around each other tight enough that it was hard to tell where one ended and one began, and set them in their bed. They were soon poking, talking, and hugging on each other.

The foxen's eyes widened a bit then she tilted her head to the side, "Ah... I never thought on that. Hmm. Two of everything huh? Yeah. I think that we can do that." She said to herself thoughtfully, "Will be a little work but nothing that we can't handle right?"

Rayne gave a laugh, "Sounds like a plan. Maybe we can get a few of the other boys to help as well. Extra hands wouldn't hurt in the searching for new stuff for them." And between their two families there plenty of extra hands.

The foxen tilted her head to the side, ears flicking back and forth, "Ah... ahahahaha... well when we arrived on Gaia I saw one. They looked fun so... I got one." She shook her head, "It didn't last I got half a dozen tickets and they told me they were gonna take my car from me. So instead of letting them steal it I put it behind the barn and left it there. I'm surprised that Yuber and Lucien could dig it out and have it run. Pure luck no doubt."

She supposed having it impounded wasn't that bad, kept them from stealing off with it again.

Rayne glanced over at the sleeping seahorse then laughed, "I don't think that him waking is something that we are gonna have to worry over. Poor thing looks exhausted." She said reaching over to brush his hair out of his eyes. Douglas made a bit of a sleepy sound but aside from that there was little more of a reaction.

Lucien gave a little yawn, rubbing at his eyes sleepily, "Hmm? Sure." Good news? They weren't going to get in anymore trouble for what they had done? That would be good news if he ever heard it.

His tail wrapped around his waist and then he tilted his head to the side, "How is Douglas? And where is my Mom?" He asked curiously.
