Mizu pausedfrom her work to watch them go wistfully. She had never set foot inside a teahouse before, her mother keeping her mostly at home, but she had heard tales from others about the mysterious domain she was not privy to, and thus was greatly interested in.
"If only I were allowed to go to the Teahouse..." she whispered to herself.

Umemi stepped into the Okiya and was suddenly filled with pride knowing that this would now be her home and families home. She had been promoted to be an Okiya mother and she was very happy about it. She slipped off her shoes and placed on instead the traditional slippers and looked about, she wondered where her girls were and thought that perhaps she should see where her staff and maids were.
She would need to have a look at the accounts and see what she has instore for the Okiya itself. The girls would have to be spoken to and as for the maids and the staff well she would have to speak with them also and then observe them to see how their work went. She found a maid and nodded politely, "if you wouldn't mind bringing me some green tea I will be sitting in my study" she smiled briefly "thank you" she said before hurrying off to her new study to take a look at the accounts.
"You're tea" the maid said softly, she stood, hovering by the doorway until Umemi nodded to let her enter. She placed the tea and served it for Umemi "thank you that is very kind of you" Umemi said before the maid walked off, she had bowed swiftly and exited the room. Umemi sipped at her tea and sighed contently, she opened up the account book to read everything that had been accounted for such as items, kimono's and uniforms.

(There are maids. I wish people wouldn't RP maids. If I continue to see it I'm going to quit the guild. For there is no reason for a person to start off a maid if they don't have anything to do. Maids are there to be used like slaves. Please do not RP maids.)

Mizu finished wiping down the floors with the other maid, and shyly disappeared into the kitchens to wring out the rags she had used. Washing her hands and wiping them dry on a cloth, she headed for the porch to await the return of Serena-sama and her maiko, passed by a slightly open door, and gasped. Willing herself not to be so rude as to turn and take a glance through the slim gap between the doorframe and the sliding door, she forced herself to think. She had been so certain no one had entered, yet it appeared the okiya mother had returned. She hovered by the door uncertainly, wondering if she ought to go in or wait for Serena-sama and the others to return before greeting the okiya mother.

Sakura walked in quietly and slipped off her gettas and put on her house shoes. She walked into the kitchen to make a nice cup of tea.
