Hanuel stood, nearly flinching, and forced a yawn. "Now, where do you say we go? North? South? There is a town somewhere here. Southeast, I think."

Kris was heading Southish towards the nearest city (that everyone is supposed to be going to ANYWAY, that Murphy, Michael, Maelys and the mabbit, and Kiyoshi are at right now). He stalked away from the sacred pool so close to his old home, stalked away from his previous, pleasant life, on toward a dark and dingy path with no light except the silvery glow that came from the dew drops on the plants around him, left over from last night's rain.
"South," Kristen answered, still worried and terribly upset, despite Hanuel's assurances and consolences (< izzat even a word?). She reached out and carefully hugged her feathered friend. "I'm still sorry," she murmured into Hanuel's ear just before she pulled away.
"WHAT?!" the High Priest of Yeliab yelled, then, quieter, "What in Yeliab's name do you think you're doing? He needs a sacrifice every year! Where is the baby?" he hissed, his face merely centimeters from Murphy's. Sweat rolled down Murphy's face.
"Yeliab instructed me - "
"Yeliab would not go to you, a mere first level priest of his order, with such important information! He'd come directly to me!" The High Priest spat, spittle splattering all over Murphy's face. He flinched and took his handkercheif out to wipe away the spit.
When his face was clean, Murphy replied sourly, "With all due respect, High Priest, I was within a five foot radius of the sacrifice when he instructed me to bless him and his mother - "
"YOU BLESSED HIM AND HIS MOTHER?!"
"Under Yeliab's strict orders." It was only one order, it wasn't strict, and it had nothing to do with the sacrifice's mother, but one could stretch the truth a little to cover one's own hide.
"Then," the High Priest hissed, "we will sacrifice you in his place!"
[OMG! WE NEED YELIAB'S PORTAL! -GASP-]

"I have already told you, I will be okay. I will go to see a healer in the city- I have not been there, so there will not be any wanted signs for me."
Damian looked at Haneul strangely. "Wanted signs?" Haneul simply shook her head and set off towards the South.

Damian looked at Haneul strangely. "Wanted signs?" Haneul simply shook her head and set off towards the South. [Ooh! Or the mabbit! OR HIS MOMMY! TOTALLY! xD] Kristen looked at her sadly. "I love you. You're the bestest friend I've ever had." She attempted a smile and failied miserably, but at least she tried. Kristen sprinted after Hanuel, barely kicking up leaves as she went. Rain drizzling on her head and arms, dripping down her face. (I suddenly want Kristen and Hanuel to be lesbians. Oh dear.)

Haneul smiled when Kristen caught up. "I am glad you do like me, Kristen. You are a very good friend for me, too." Haneul hugged Kristen tightly, one arm at her side and the other across Kristen's chest.
Damian stood, perplexed, wondering what to do. Did he follow the girls? Did he wait for Cass? Did he go back for Cass? Was Cass even still here? He sat down by a tree, hoping that someone would come by soon and tell him what in the five hells he was supposed to be doing.

[Everyone is too far ahead to talk to Damian, except maybe Dmitri, which is another of your characters. Also, where is Cass? Perhaps she can meet up with Kris?
