"Are the plains yours as well?" she asked, slowly making her way toward Lucid. She liked the way his eyes could light up when he was teasing her, though it was an odd feeling. For he was the first person to ever do so. Reaching the bar she leaned back against it, her body angled slightly to face his. Looking up , she met his gaze with her own and smiled.

"A good portion of the Demorian Plains belongs to me." he said, his face going slightly serious. "I dislike people who come onto my land without my permission or a damn good reason. I am hunted just like you are. I have an obligation to keep myself safe, as well as the people that reside in my home." He picked up the goblet and downed the Bloodwyne that was left. "Shall we go for our walk then?"

Not liking the fact that she had seemed to erase his good mood, Lyra hesitantly nodded. "Yes...if you'd like to still. I would enjoy being outside." she answered and continued to lean casually against the bar. Watching Lucid she struggled to think of something that she could say that might make him smile. Though dealing with people was still new to her she found that her not knowing what to say sometimes helped because she ended up blurting out the right thing anyway. Not that it made her feel much better but at least she didn't always make situations worse. Grinning she pushed away from the bar and strode toward the door. "Well then...you're just going to have to keep up with me then aren't you. Without cheating...and can you not play fair?" she called over her shoulder as she moved to get a head start.

Lucid stood, his smile returning. "Keep up with you, eh?" he asked. "I think I can manage that without cheating..but that means you cannot cheat either." He strode toward her, following her out of the bar area. He did manage to get in front of her, only because she didn't know the way out.

Ali was captivated by her surroundings, it reminder her of the stories her father had told her of his time with the Dwarfs. The tapestries, the armor, the weapons, it was as if someone had reached into her imagination. It was like being able to walk through her mind, to be able to physically touch the tales she had be told. She followed Gabriel, but did not look his way till he came to a stop at a stair well. She slowly turned her face to meet his. The light from a near by torch glinted in her eyes, illuminating the lavender hue. "How should I address you?" she inquired, a small grin escaping her. "I'm sure that you are no 'demon' as previously referred."

Gabriel stared at her, trying to decide whether he should laugh or be angry with her. She obviously thought that his Master would lie to her. But the thought that he might not be a demon was laughable. "I can assure you, I am a demon." he said quietly. "And you may address me as Gabriel." He started to say more, but thought better of it. She was a guest after all. Turning, he ascended the stairs, moving into the darker hallway of the second floor. "Hurry along. Your room is this way." He called, not bothering to make sure she was following.

Ali was taken aback by the fact he was indeed a demon. "Well, you are the best looking 'demon' I have ever meet." she retorted. "I am sorry if I offended you Gabriel. That was not my intention. Please feel free to call me Ali." she offered. She watched him climb the stairs, studying the fluid movement as he graceful went up. He was indeed very pleasant on the eyes. To Ali, he seemed as one who would enjoy toying with one's mind, just for the sheer enjoyment of watching them. This was only a first impression though, she would not be foolish enough to believe that, unless proven. Within seconds, she was directly behind him, eager to remove the dust that had built up upon her skin during her travels.

Gabriel strode easily down the dark corridor, his eyes adjusting to the near pitch black of the second floor. There were no windows here in this hallway and no torches to light the hall. He liked the dark, felt at home in it. But then most demons of his nature did. He paused in front of a large set of doors. They were dark, made of a thick wood that seemed to ripple with life. Turning to the doors, he placed a hand on the left one. "This is an empty room that you may use. I do not believe that anyone resides in this portion of the castle.." he said, pausing to look at her. "Yet." Shifting, he pushed the doors open, making a wide sweeping gesture toward the opening. "Ladies first." he said, stepping back out of the way so she could go in.

Ali had no trouble adjusting to the darkness of the hall way. Her father was born in the under dark, she had his eyes after all. Then Gabriel opened a door for her, "Thank you." she replied lightly stepping past him into the room. The room was lightly adored, nothing spectacular about it. It had everything she needed however, a bed. "You are welcome to come in if you so wish." she offered. Ali had been alone for a while now, companionship was greatly needed.

Waves crashed up against the cliff sides that were looming in the distance and drawing closer with every hour that passed. Seth sighed as he felt the wind tug at his long black hair, disregarding the fact that a thick leather strip held the strands tight against the nape of his neck. The smell and sound of the sea clouded his senses but not so much that he didn't know he was drawing closer to home. Home...the Haven, the only home he had ever really had. It had been years since he'd left, and he thought that he had done well with all that Lucid had taught him on his own. He wasn't sure what was pulling him back after all this time but something was. The gathering of clouds in the east worried him only slightly. There was a small chance that he would catch the tip of that storm before he reached the dock that was nestled against the jagged cliffs that guarded the Haven from the rear. If one weren't careful they'd run aground on those rocks if you didn't know what to look for. A falcon's cry echoed throughout the sky and made a slight smile curve his lips. He wasn't the only one happy to be back, he thought, shielding his eyes from the harsh glare of the sun, he tilted his head up and watched Talon soar across the sky. Talon had as much if not more personality than another human like being. So it was hard to discount his feelings and intelligence when it came to decisions. Though the falcon had already proved how faithful he was by following Seth to the ends of the world and back again. They had been through much together and yet still, he thought with a small sigh, that bird has not followed with common sense and deserted me. Shrugging such matters aside, Seth moved easily from the bow of the ship to the helm and prepared the fight the sea for entrance to home.

Gabriel stood in the doorway, just on the outside of the threshold, watching the elf. She had invited him into her room and yet he was slightly reluctant. Generally, he'd have asked for permission from his master before doing such a thing. But for some reason, his master had the telepathic link that they shared blocked tightly. Now that he was left to his own devices, he was unsure of what exactly he wanted to do. He was sure that stepping into the room with this woman wouldn't be bad, she probably just wanted some company. Besides, he had to show her how to use the tub. That thought brought his attention to the huge tub that sat nestled in the corner. There was a privacy screen wrapped around one side of it, drawn back to expose the forward half of the tub. He stepped across the doorway, moving easily across the room to the tub. "Come and I will show you how to use this." he said quietly, putting his hand on the side of the tub. The tub was made of a smooth, sturdy ceramic, hand crafted by a master craftsman. Lucid had ordered them made and there were like tubs in most of the rooms. There was also an underground set of hot pools that could be used for such things as bathing. Remembering this, he glanced over at Ali. "Or you can use the hot pools under the main floor." His hand lifted, his fingers touching the tags on the collar at this throat. The tiny bell there made a jingle in protest and he grasped it to silence the sound. End of message.

Lucid stood on the edge of the tall cliffs that bordered the shoreline of the ocean. He'd been keeping an eye on the ship that approached since the evening had fallen on the Haven. The dragon was finally coming home, Lucid thought, watching the ocean wind fill those huge sails. He had always thought of Seth as a sort of brother. A very young brother, but a brother nonetheless. He'd picked the kid up in a city somewhere, brought him home to the Haven, and taught him everything there was to know about hunting, fighting, and honor. He smiled, remembering how eager the kid had been to learn and how fast he'd picked up what Lucid had taught. He turned, headed for the narrow pathway that lead down the cliffs to the water's edge.

In the ever changing moods of the sea, Seth was fighting for every inch of ground he gained toward the Haven. The Waves were doing there best to smash his ship against the jagged rocks that rose up from the oceans bottom. His vicious oaths could probably be heard by the master vampire that awaited him on the path that led up the cliffs, but dammit it had been a hell of a fight to get his vessel to dock and tuck her safely away in the small cove he knew Lucid had designed strictly for him. Grinning he looked up into the sky and fought back a laugh at the sight of his falcon. Talon was circling just above Lucid and lowering with each sweep he made. looks like I won;t be the first to get to say hello, he thought to himself as he started up the path with Talons happy call of greeting spreading across the sky.

Lucid glanced up at the circling falcon, lifting his arm for it to land on. He did not stop moving, however, until he was at the lowest part of the path. Since the path was the only way up to the castle, short of vanishing, he knew Seth would have to go past him eventually. This gave him a moment to admire the faithful little falcon as it swooped closer and closer to him. "You look well, my little friend." Lucid called to the bird, a smile lingering on his lips.

:Indeed, well enough for the trials we have seen as of late: Talon's voice was deep and resonated with a slightly amused tone. Landing gracefully upon the arm that Lucid had offered, he shook his feathers and walked carefully up to the vampires shoulder. Nibbling a little on Lucids hair, Talon tilted his head and studied him out of one gold eye. :It has been long ancient one. And how have you been?: he asked, tugging lightly on a few strands of hair. Seth only rolled his eyes as he reached the pair of them and continued to grin. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you were expecting me Lucid." he teased, his deep blue eyes lighting with the pleasure of simply being.
