Nikui smiled fondly at the rarely used nickname his friend had called him and felt much better. He soon found himself asleep, his body latching onto Shin out of force of habit. Waking up early the next morning, Niku cursed his body for waking him up so early, and attempted to fall back asleep.

"okay, i'll meet you inside in a few.... i have to go check on somthing." jin started to walk down the street. aboiut three houses down he turned and went into one's backyard.he looked around. nothing had changed from the last time he was there.he walked over to a small tree that had lived through the terror that had happened. he nelt down in front of it and started to mumble something."Mom, it's me. i said i would come here everyday. so i have been. i'm sorry i couldn't do anything to help you. but at least now your someplace where no harm can be done. jin knelt there for about five minuets not saying a word before he finally got up. a tear rolled down his cheek."no.....no you won't cry, crying just makes you weak. you have to be strong so you can protect."he said to himself. he clenched his fist then realesed it and started on his way back.

jin walked into the house."no ones lived here for a while. so when the city was attacked. they didn't do much here cause no one was around. all they did was break down the door"jin said walking up beside her

"yup. you can sleep on whats left of the couch, there are a few blankets upstairs. i'll go and get them."jin said and headed up the stairs.

jin walked into a room and grabbed a couple of blankets and then headed down stairs. he put them on one end of the couch.he looked up to a clock on the wall. the batteries in it were still good so it still kept the time.it was ten P.M. "i'm going to sleep now. it's gettin pretty late."jin walked to the other side of the room and sat down in a chair.he pulled on a lever on the side of it and it pulled out revealing a leg rest."you can sleep here if you want. it's alot comfyer than the couch"

Jin was in a small room. there were no doors or windows. screams filled the air , they were comeing from the oposite side of the wall."Mom? MOM! NO DON'T HURT HER! DON'T!." A gun fired then silence. he sat on the ground crying. the wall burst open. a man walked in. his face was black.he stepped closer to jin. his eyes were blurred from the crying. he wiped his eyes and looked up. the man had no face. he held up the gun and pointed it at him.jin stood up."No, i promised my self no more crying....No more. Besides. i have some one to protect now.... I WON'T SHOW WEAKNESS!" Jin ran at the faceless man with his fist out.suddenly he stopped. he couldn't move. The man put his gun down and backed away into the darkness. then all went black. Jin qickley sat up.He was out of breath. sweat stung his eyes and his throat was dry. he felt his face. it was wet."i was crying?"he mumbled to himself. he looked over to mae.he could tell she was awake from the way she was lying down.jin stood up and left the room. he turned a corner and walked intto the kitchen and opened up a fridge. some of the food was rotten because the power was out. but there were a few good things. and a fresh bag of apples too. he took two out and went back into the room they had slept in.no point in trying to wake her up. she might actually be sleeping.
