Mrs Muse Blood-Spattered-Sundress I need help deciding on what kind of pattern I should use to make my fiance and I a blanket... We bought 2 Caron One Pound skeins and he expects to get a queen sized blanket out of it lol xD I said "I'll probly need 7 of those to make a blanket that big!" He said to me "Well, why didn't you get more yarn?!" I have to remember that one when he says "You need yarn AGAIN?!" >< ((((BTW, teh_humpeh, I'm stealing your bath-time look xD) Do a granny square! You get more bang for your buck when making a large blanket also it takes half the time... I think. I have half of the queen size im making for my bf and I's bed. On the last or second to last of a blankie for my little girl. *hates the yarn im using and swears never to use it again... unless I get payed doubble for someone else....*
I have no idea how to make a granny square.. D: lol I'll look up a pattern, but I have an interchangeable circular needle set, so I can make a hugemungous blanket in one panel... (yay for extenders!)
Edit: I'm thinking about doing a "year blanket" so I make a square/rectangle every month for a year and then sew it together when I'm done... Or I'll just look up the 2009 pattern on ravelry and have at it.. xD

OhNoesItsMiho I have a lot of projects on my plate! My friend wants a mint chocolate kitty plush, the other wants a strawberry kitty, for the ami-along in another guild, I have to come up with a Gaia related plush so I'm going to make either kiki or coco, and for the FINAL project, I'm going to make a Devil May Cry 3 Dante plush. I'm in love, love with that game. Sadly, I can't start on ANY of these until I get my spool loom that I ordered from Joann Fabrics. Maybe I'll get it on the 5th? Oh my god, you are my hero. I am so in love with Dante. *dreamy sigh*
I finally got out of my funk and have been alternating between a giant granny square blanket for my sis and a shawl for me. It was supposed to be a half circular shawl, but the pattern was written wrong so it's a full circle with a slit in it, but it should still be nice. For both I'm using the pound o' yarn skeins by Caron, in pink and cream for my sis and in dark red for me (pink is her favorite color, mine is red).

I've actually got 2 blankets that I want to make..I'll probably end up making a block blanket... I'll probly follow the 2009 patterns.. I also the OpArt Baby Blanket in mind... thinking of going baby pink and pale mint green... (they were gifts-big "Bernat baby sport" one pound skeins... So I figure, what the heck! That and the pink/green combo seems like it wouldn't give one as much of a headache! lol)
