Birds chirped their last rounds of morning in the tree tops. The brook babbled softly it its bed, cool and refreshing. A new day had dawned, just as it had before.

Roon made his way quietly around a large tree, having followed the swallowtail butterfly for what seemed like ages. Determined to win this game of tag, Roon bowed low ready to pounce on the unsuspecting insect that has settled itself on the sunny side of a large boulder.
"I'm gonna get 'cha!" Roon whispered to no one.

The black figure of an adolescent fox sprinted across the grounds. His paws gently touched the terrain, tongue lolling at the side of his mouth. Unusually large ears twitched as he heard a voice.
Skidding to a stop, he noticed the other male hunting...a butterfly? Giving a confused tilt of his head, Tamesis came forward, quietly as his dark eyes scared at the other with slight interest.

Completely absolved in his 'hunt' Roon took aim to pounce on the defenseless insect. Crouching low to the ground ready to deliver the final pounce, his keen nose caught the sent of another in the vicinity. Thus causing him to trip over himself and go rolling, in time to see the butterfly quickly gaining altitude. Roon's ears up and frantically searching for a sound.
"Who-who's there?" Roon croaked out startled, having finally found his voice. Obviously not having thought someone might have seen his 'hunt'.

Macaw had finally gained enough courage to venture out on her own in the hopes of finding another of her kind to talk to. Up until yet she'd had very little luck but had a good feeling about today. She was eager to find someone to speak to and would not return home until she'd conversed with another.
After a short walk her ears perked up. That had definatly been a voice, right? Hopefully! Picking up her pace Macaw started to walk in Roons general direction.

Tilting his head to the side as Tamesis came towards him, a sound of movement from behind him startled him. Roon leaped up into the air doing almost a full back flip with a side twist and landed now looking between both approaching Fennecs.
Eye's going wide with delight and slight uncertainty. "Two of you!" His nose unsure of where to sniff first.

As Macaw approached she picked up more than one scent and her tail started to wag behind her. More than one fox to talk to! Luck really was on her side today!
"Hey there!" she greeted Roon quite happily.

Roon so startled by the bright colors on this new fox, tripped over his hind legs forcing him to sit abruptly, ears erect.
"Oh...Hi! I didn't see you there. My names Roon." he managed to sputter out, tongue lolling out at the end.

Macaw giggled softly as Roon seemed to trip and sit abruptly. "Didn't mean to scare you." She said, stepping a little closer before sitting down herself. "Nice to meet you, Roon! I'm Macaw!" The female fox chimed happily.

Blushing ever so slightly, realizing she was a girl. "Pleased to meet you as well Macaw." bowing his head slightly, Roon couldn't help eying the female up and down. "Where did you get such bright colors?" Not completely understanding where pups came from, and figuring someone must have splashed Macaw with some ink. He sniffed at her absently.

Macaw didn't seem to understand why she was so brightly coloured either. But nevertheless, she liked it. "I don't know. I've always been like this." She looked over Roon. "Where did you get such.. dark colours?" The female asked, tail wagging constantly behind her.

Roon started to open his mouth, then paused, having never put much thought into that question either.
Sitting down, "Ya know I've never thought about it either." he replied with a shrug. Rolling over onto his back.
"Wanna play?"

"Perhaps you were born in a dark place and I was born in a colourful one?" Seemed like a reasonable explanation to her. Hearing the question, the fox rose to her feet and smiled. "Sure!" And she bound over to Roon, lightly prodded him with her paw before bolting off. "Your it!"

Tail flying high after the pat of Macaw's paw, Roon gives chase. Silently giving thought to what she had said about being born in a dark place. Those thoughts quickly gave way to nothing but the thrill of the chase.
Bounding over fallen trees, and leaping in and out of shrubs after his colorful quarry. With only the intent of pouncing on her colorful tail.
Between pants lined with his tongue, "Yer fast!"

Macaw was running as fast as her colourful legs would carry her. It was hard running through a forest like this as she had to constantly look around to make sure she didn't trip over something.
"...Heh.. so are you..." She managed between pants as she hopped over a fallen tree and missed her footing when she hit the ground. The fox rolled forward, though she quickly picked herself up and started off again.
