I always thought it was after the grandfather, or oldest surviving great-aunt (if female).
....Of course, with tumbleweeds it's hard to find the name of any relative. We might as well go completely at random.

Hmm... Well, I wouldn't mind having a guild pet, but if we're going to keep Gary we have to decide who's going to feed him and take him for walks....
