It's not that I hate her, its just that the other characters had characteristics that, even if they may come out as evil or manipulative, make them endearing. Like Touga has his love for Utena, Saionji has his
love for Touga comedic moments and Akio has... errr... hotness? But Shiori? I don't know... there's... nothing...
sweatdrop I have to say it... Shiori's only the way she is because she grew up with a best friend like Juri.
Juri isn't perfect, but she's close to it. Imagine growing up having everything about yourself compared to someone like her. In fact, all girls
do grow up comparing themselves to people like her, what with models and the media. That kind of thing leaves girls with low self esteem.
Because she thought so lowly of herself, she couldn't understand why someone like Juri would want to be friends with her for any reason other than pity. She thought that the only person she had ever cared about felt nothing but pity for her. She was miserable, just as Juri is now. She stole that boy from Juri as a desperate attempt to do anything she could to put herself on the same ground as Juri.
