-As Of Yet Untitled- I've been a member of this guild since...forever, and I've never even bothered to post, so here I am; posting. XD Hisamie and I have decided we're going to be contributing to this society and starting a roleplay. *Yay* -This is a Private roleplay, at least for now. There was nowhere in the rules that said private roleplays weren't allowed, but if anyone has any problems with it, just PM one of us, and we'll fix it. <3 .Story.The forest of Kliada is dark and mysterious. No one ever sets foot within it and lives to tell the tale. Or do they? Kliada is surrounded in mystery, lies, and rumors. No one knows the truth. No one knows why people who enter teh forest disappear, or why those few who escape alive are permanently marked on their right shoulders by the mark of the lantern. No one knows who the bearer of the lantern is, or what he wants, or why he is so keen to drive everyone away. Only the Bearer of the Lantern knows what lurks within Kliada's dark reaches. A young woman, driven by desperation, enters the accursed forest and finds herself at the Bearer of the Lantern's mercy. And the mercy of the Other.... X

Kelala continues to walk down the well worn path as the wind picks up. The dark blue cloak that adorns her person blows about as she stops her steps. Gold eyes flickering about she takes in the forest that lays ahead of her. The village she went through a while back told her it was rather dangerous to go through it. But I have to keep going this direction She reminded herself as she begans walking again entering the unknown forest that lays infront of her.

Ovaan sat perched in a tree, his tongue stuck between his teeth in concetration as he carefully whittled an object he held firmly in his hands. It was nearing evening, and he squinted green eyes against the on-coming darkness. His dark black hair fell in a tangled mess to his shoulders. His skin was tanned from spending time outdoors, to the point that he nearly blended in to the tree behind him, a healthy gold. His clothes were outlandish and tattered, dark in color. At his feet sat a lamp, unlike any other in the world. It held within it an orb of pure magic, glowing brilliant, surreal colors. There were many stories about that lantern. Many said that that lantern was the last thing you ever saw in this forest. Before you died.

Kelala sighed as she reached something that resembled a clearing with in the forest. Looking up at the sky she concluded it was time to make camp. No point going through the forest in the dark when one didn't have no clue where to go. Standing perfectly still she listened for a moment. After she heard nothing that didn't seem to be out of the normal for a forest she set her satchal down and went to collect some fire wood.

Ovaan had just finished whittling the small doll he'd been working on. Thoughtfully, he held it in his hands, then released it to the forest floor. These dolls were everywhere, looking surprisingly like individual people from the nearby cities, just another plan to freak people out. It worked. No one bothered him, and, more importantly, no one bothered Ag'helai.
A small chirping alerted him to the fact that soemone was there. Groaning, figuring it was just some boisterous child with something to prove, he leapt down for the tree, his earthy-toned fairie wings flapping silently as he caught his balance.
The intruder was fairly nearby. Whispering a word to the lantern, he nodded at the small bird now perching where he had sat. The lantern lit up, casting it's eerie glow on the trees around him.

Kelala stopped and looked around, shaking her head she resumed collect some wood off the ground. "I'm not going to let some silly rumors from scared villages get to me." She growled softly to her softly but stopped suddenly when she saw a wooden doll. Bending down she picked it up with her free hand and studied it closely. It was a well done doll at that but what was it doing out her. Quickly she looked around to see if maybe someone was about. But once again nothing met her eyes except more trees.

A woman? Ovaan pursed his lips thoughtfully. Women never came out here. Rowdy boys, yes. Foolish men, absolutely, but never, ever any women.
Her back was to him. He leaned against a tree, watching her as she handled something. Ag'helai would not be happy about this.
"Someone has a death wish." He said, alerting her to his presence, his voice taunting, swinging his lantern in a way that made him hard to see and sent shadows skittering across the clearing.

Kelala gasped as she dropped the wood and quickly turned around. Her hand quickly grasped one of her many daggers as she searched for the orgin of the voice. But all she could make out was this glowing orb and flickering shadows. "Show yourself." She groweld out.

Ovaan laughed. This woman had guts! "No." He said stubbornly. "You're trespassing. Why should you get anything your way?" The lantern continued to sway in his hands.

Kelala was shocked to her his laugh but kept her eyes on the swaying glowing form considering that is where the voice was coming from. "I am just passing through. I mean no harm." She informed him, hoping to avoid trouble. I don't need this right now.

"Oh, of course you are," Ovaan's voice dripped with mocking sarcasm. "How am I supposed to believe that? The last fool who made that sorry excuse is no longer on this earth. And I had nothing to do with that one!" He laughed a musical laugh that would have been gorgeous in other circumstances.

"Well if you had any confidance to speak of I would say you could escort me yourself out of this forest so that I can prove to you my word is true. But considering that you are bent on hiding behind a glowing orb I would say you were to scared to show yourself." Kelala said with a cocky smirk that bared her fangs sligthly. But her gold eyes narrowed in annoyance for she was tired and the current situation at hand was aggravating. Who did this riddiculas man think he was?

Ovaan laughed his musical laugh. "Why would I come out? Do you think I'm mad? You have a weapon in your hand. As far as you can tell, I'm unarmed. All I have to do is step into your veiw and I'm a dead man. Really, I ought to kill you right now. How dare you call me a coward?" His tone managed to be extremely condescending.
But he wasn't interested in killing her. He never killed the people he could manage to catch, just frightened them enough to make them wish they were dead, then dropped them off in some random city with a tell-tale scar on their shoulders. The Beast's Curse. The townsfolk loved that one.
If he wanted people dead, he wouldn't bother trying to keep them out.

"AH but I merly making sure I am able to defend myself. And if you wanted to kill me so badly you would have done it when my back was turned to you." Kelala remarked as she straightened up and hid the dagger from site and showed that her hands held nothing.
