The cats of Fireclan live under a huge tree. They make their dens in the roots and under the tree. On their territory sits an abandoned metalworkers shop from a long time ago. It still has rusted equiptment in it and cats are forbidden to venture into the old dangerous twoleg dwelling.

Echosong looked around once more and sighed yet again. Where the hell is everyone? she thought misurably. Well, i'll just have to find out for myself. Echosong concluded. She padded out of the camp and followed the trail that paws had worn over centuries. She found herself heading through the thick trees and in the direction of Waterclan. Not until she scented the markers did she know she had passed into Waterclan territory. Woah! Echosong thought well, there must be a good reason for my paws to lead me here she finished.

Moonstar turned and looked into the river. He could see the black pelt of a cat being forced down the river in the waves. Instinctively he jumped in, and being a good swimmer made it quickly to the now limp cat. He grabbed onto its neck and slowly struggled to get to shore. However powerful the rushing water was, his strong legs managed to carry him slowly to the edge. He tried vainly to grab onto a root growing out into the water but he misjudged how far away it was and couldn't reach. There was a branch hanging low over the water only a couple feet in front of him, he smoothly kicked toward it, trying to keep the other cat's head out of the water and grabbed onto the branch with all his strength. Soon it was all over and he was lying, panting, on the Waterclan side of the river. He coughed up a bit of water and turned to the cat he had saved, or hoped he had saved.
He gasped. Echosong! Of all the cats that could have fallen into the river, it had to be her. But he quickly pushed his thoughts aside as he checked to see if she was still alive. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw her pelt move up and down. She was alive.

((it's okay, I'm going to post anyway)) Moonstar smiled with relief as she said his name. "Rest now until you're strong enough to jump over the river to Fireclan territory. I didn't know it was you, so I headed for Waterclan shores."

"I couldn't bear to see any cat drown, even one from another clan, especially...you." He muttered softly. What had come over him? Why was he being so friendly to another clan cat?

There wasn't enough time for chat. As soon as Echosong was well enough to jump over the river he said good bye and hastily headed back to the Waterclan camp. He had to get some time to think by himself. How could he, a clan leader, fall in love with a cat from another clan? He of all cats should respect and follow the warrior code completely. ((heading back to waterclan))

Lunarstar rolled to her side, before quickly getting up to sit normally. She licked the dust off her fur, and looked to Echosong. "Good, I should think. I've heard no reports of any cats dying, or any cats breaking the Warrior code. So I'm sure its all well." she meowed, twitching her ear slightly. "What about you, have you heard anything?"
