Mal and Selona were early for their appointment, at his own insistance, Julius lying against one shoulder, Genevieve on Selona's. Here, once again, surveying the waiting room and play area that had been recently added since the first of the doctor's patients had given birth, he realised why Selona hadn't been in such a hurry.
The doctor was always late. Always..
He looked down to the tiny bundle in one arm as he began to stir. Julius had slept on the way there, but was coming around in time for his check up. Very resposible for such a little guy.
Regardless, they were here, now, and Mal set Julius down close by, and set a few colored plastic cups nearby, along with one of his teething rings. He wiped the cups off on his coat and repalced them next to the child before finally sitting down. Now, to wait for the doctor..

Imbri phased through the door, smiling softly down at the baby in her arms. She had no idea if he possesed the same skill as her, but as long as he was touching her, it worked just fine.
She was glad of that. It meant she didn't have to bother with pesky door opening.
The red headed woman looked around the room, noticing one other couple.
"Selona?" She said, startled. Her face became it's usual serious one. Couldn't let others see her smiling! That would never do.

Selona was already settled comfortabley in a chair, upon her face was worn a gentle smile. For someone of her stature, she looked a little tired. Twins were more of a hassle than she could remember, as she'd never truely cared for any in the past.
She shifted Genevieve's weight slightly, reaching over and patting Malachi's hand. Waiting for Imbri to finally make her way into the room, she heard the shock in her friend's voice.
"Hello Imbri, it's good to see you again."

Imbri... Imbri..
Hmmmm.
Malachi leaned over close to Selona, hand turning to embrace hers, his voice low to avoid embarassment. "Do I know her?"
Julius hiccupped, likely sensing he was no longer the center of attention and stirred, arm inarticulately stretching, reaching for things around him.

Imbri blinked. It had been quite awhile since she had seen the blonde woman last. And she certainly had never seen her outside of the Kingdom.
What were the odds she would turn up in the tiny maternity clinic?
"It's nice to see you too," Imbri replied politly, bowing her head in a slight curtsy.
She walked the rest of the length of the floor, not so much walking as half floating as she stepped. She remained intangible, as it made carrying a baby around all day much easier on her feet.
"I don't believe I've met you before, sir. Should I be correct in assuming he's your..." she trailed off, trying not to wrinkle her nose at the thought of having a significant other.

"You've not met her dear... her name is Imbri; she's a good friend of mine from the Kingdom." she whispered deftly back to the blonde man before turning back to Imbri.
"Fiance." she chuckled as Imbri began to mention the ordeal.
"I forgot that you've yet to meet him. Has it been that long?" she grinned mischeviously, "I see you've been keeping yourself occupied, hmm?" the deity's eyes rested on the naga-child.
"He's adorable."

Still whispering, Mal persisted. "I thought Imbri was the lady with all the cats. Didn't we visit there once?"
Regardless, he nodded a greeting to the woman. "I'm Malachi, it's a pleasure."

Raising an eyebrow, Imbri's usually pale face went a very faint pink.
"Ah. I see." She offered her hand, palm facing the floor, delicatly. "How...nice to meet you too," she said, her face still set as stoney as ever.
"Yes, fairly occupied," Imbri answered, turning her attention to the goddess and just barely smiling. "He's beautiful," she said, stroking Nyoka's hair.
"I see you have twins. That must be interesting."

"No, she lives in the ocean with some Nereids, Kida, Lady Lovely Locks, Maleficent and Jubilee."
Selona merely continued to smile as Imbri's face flushed lightly. What was a friend if you couldn't tease them every so often?
"Interesting to say the least... especially with this pair." Selona mused quietly as she looked down to her snake tailed, parrot winged girl.
"I must say, this was not exactly what I expected. This is Genevieve." she shifted the girl a bit more so that Imbri could see the sleeping infant.
"Julius is the one with Malachi. He's the elder by a little over an hour." she laughed.

He thought for a moment, and realised he hadn't actually met the woman. "Oh." He at last leaned away, and settled back in his chair, eyes returning to ensure Julius hadn't rolled off. Not that he knew how to, but in time.
Julius had acquired one of the cups, and held it at arms length, squealing needlessly as the cup did nothing. Who knows what goes on in babies minds.
Mal just sat out of the conversation. Clearly the pair had been good friends, and even more evident was the fact they'd not been in contact for some time. He'd let them be.
"Here, I'll take Genevieve."

"She's very pretty," Imbri observed. "She has a tail, just like him." She lifted her arm so the Coral snake tail could be seen wrapped around her wrist.
"This is Nyoka Taylor, by the way," she said, tickling him and watching him squirm in her arms. "Yes, I can relate. I'm not exactly sure why he is a Naga. It was rather confusing, but stranger things have happened. What about yours? She looks like a naga, but I've never seen one with wings. And I don't know if I even recognize what he is."

"Thank you dear." Selona smiled as Malachi lifted the infant from her arms. Genevieve herself gurgled sleepily, rubbing her eyes as her daddy lifted her.
"Naga? How interesting." She watched the mass of red, black and yellow cling around it's mothers arm. Turning to look over at Genevieve she tilted her head in thought.
"A lillend. Don't ask me what that is, I'm not sure. I just know that's what the doctor squeaked out while Malachi was trying to... uh... yes. Let's just say he wasn't very happy over the ordeal initially," She turned to look at her fiance,
"Were you dear?"

Mal's eyes narrowed even as he cradles the infant happily. He exhaled heavily, than replied flatly. "No.."
Then he smiled down to Genevieve before looking back to Julius. That boy was always doing something, as though he knew he was cute and needed to draw attention to that fact.
"He's supposedly part Gargoyle, and but for Selona, the good doctor would be part mangled currrr..."
"I love my children, regardless."

Imbri's eyes widened. Injuring the doctor hadn't even occured to her. And she hadn't even been that badly drugged up.
"I suppose it was him, wasn't it? I hadn't even thought of it that much."
Nyoka leaned over her arm, trying to get a good look at the other two babies. He hadn't seen anyone else with a tail like his before! How exciting!
"Gargoyle? That's different. Is he going to get more stoney?"

"To be honest Imbri... we haven't a clue." Selona sighed as she watched the infants muddling around, lost in their own little worlds.
Genevieve had yet to notice anything else. She was mostly content with being held by daddy. Her little hands came up and poked at his chin, and she gurgled a few odd noises before a sleepy grin and a tired yawn found it's way out of her.
"Malachi's right though, I love them, regardless. I just wish I had known beforehand. Well, even now I'm not 100% certain." she mused.
