Kookal is a medium sized trading outpost and village at the north of the dessert continent. Although the town is not actually a port it does have one small docking pier and it is here that the ship comes in to the dessert continent. Once here one can buy many delicacy's of the dessert along with obscure technologies. It is also here that the legendary dune ships are built and raced regularly on a track to the south of the town. Dune ships are the best way to cross the dessert but procuring one is of a fairly hard difficulty as those with them often do not wish to part with them exept for a large bag of gold.

main areas: Trading Square , Food market, Racetrack, docking pier.

the large ship travelled across the open sea as andreas slept still aching all over but slowly recovering he only awoke briefly to examine his belongings and the specimens he had acquired. he pulled out a small chest and placed the items inside locking it carefully. after going back to his rest his mind thought on his goal and the power he sought. he dreamt of the inevitable conclusion to his searching and what it would bring him. what the fortune teller had promised him.

the ship soon shook from docking and he knew had had arrived carefully picking up all his items and making his way above deck to the beaming down hot sun. it shone brightly and he was forced to shade his face.

Andreas walked of the ship folding his cloak around him, the sleep had done him good. after all this was over he would definitely have to see a good dress maker his clothes were getting quite un presentable. he looked at the turn shreds in them and blood stains.

"i hate being so untidy."

andreas walked into the city and down the narrow streets to the trading area to look for some supplies. he need food for his quest now and he wouldn’t dream of eating the stuff in the market, he had to much of an acquired taste. he traded a few thousand gil for a bottle of vintage wine and caviar.

walking back along the streets he spotted the races taking place, how the lower class found time to busy themselves the man chuckled. he walked through the city as as he came to the edge of town he could already sense the presence of those as he sat down to enjoy his meal. one to the east the other to the south. now to make a choice.

Andreas thought carefully about which direction to head in first, the desert would be treacherous place if he wasn’t careful. He took another sip of his drink then placed them away as he decided. To the south their I will find what I seek. he looked across the desert still a bit wearily. He decided to be more wiser than just trekking across it and walked a few paces across the outer rim of the city to a small mechanics area. He took a look around the corner at the room full of machinery and odd looking rusty hover crafts. They seemed to be al bhed made and used quite well. Spotting a mechanic he approached him.

"i need transportation. one of your best hover crafts I wont take anything I do not feel fit to ride."

He stared at the man opening a pouch of gold.

"Hmm, im not sure. We need these crafts for much work."

"My money not good enough for you."

The man looked at the gil it was an awful lot well worth it.

"Very well, here’s are best one, still has a few bugs but it should take you to where you need to go. you sure you can drive one."

Andreas didn’t answer just got on and strapped himself in taking hold of the control stick and setting of in a gust of sand dust, leaving the man coughing.

As andreas travelled swiftly across the dunes in the hovercraft as the scotching hot sun blazed down he wondered how risa was getting on the woman was never a reliable source but he knew he could trust her not to disappoint him.

Andreas wrapped his cloak tighter around his face to block out the sand dust and tried to look for any sign of a settlement. he could sense the presence of the one he needed to the east and it was strong but he had decided to keep south. He would meet the individual soon enough and would meet up with risa as well. the hover craft rushed across the desert as andres pushed down the stick eager to find his next subject.

Nightmare laughed and placed his arm around Yarshe.
"It sure is land, look at the great golden sands and the heat of it all rising.
Isn't it beautiful."

Yarshe stiffened at Nightmare's touch, but calmed down, looking at the desert in front of them. Strangely, she was reminded of the cold ice of Glasica. How strikingly contrast they were.
"It is beautiful. Amazing.....but it looks like it's gonna be scorching.."
she agreed as the boat docked.
"Land ho!" The captain walked over to Yarshe and Nightmare, beaming from the short safe voyage.
"My lord and Lady, welcome to Kookal."

Nightmare felt Yarshe flinch and he removed his hand and steped on the wharf and turned to the captine and handed him 3 pieces of gold.
"Thank you for the ride, Yarshe you ready to go?"

The captain beamed to himself, happy to get paid, and bid the two a safe journey before he bustled back onto the ship.

Yarshe nodded in response to Nightmare's question.
"Yup! Ready when you are."

((just go ahead and post wherever we're going, i'll follow))

Nightmare ran through what was the small trading post until he got to the boarders and he looked out at the vast dessert in all directions, trying to see through the haze of the heat.
He sniffed the air several times before pointing off into the distance.
"The dessert lay yonder."
With that he started trudging through the sand, his feet sinking up to his ankles as he walked.
He didn't say anything else as they both trudged through the dessert, not wanting to lose any moisture that he had in his mouth.

arriving in kookal andreas didn’t want to waste any time and jumped from the craft with out a second thought, leaving it stranded. she walked into the city he saw the same seedy areas he had run into before and a lowlife pheasant smirked at him. obviously amused by the state he was in. the filth.

"get out of my way."

he pushed the man to the ground and walked straight past him making his way to the docks. There as he turned a corner he saw his private boat waiting for him as he had instructed. It had probably been here a few days waiting and he was glad to see it. He walked down the dock and up the plank onboard as the captain ran out.

"greetings count andreas, may we get you a change of close."

"i shall see to it myself. Set sail I wish to make my way as quickly as possible."

He walked below deck to his room to change into fresh attire

the ship left port and andreas sat down at his table in a decorated oak chair, he peered down and the scraps of paper on his desk and lifted the chest up on the table.

H took a moment to relax back in the comfort of his boat and unlock one of the draws removing a fine bottle of vintage wine pouring himself out a glass. he sipped it carefully and smiled as he lifted a rather old looking book from the desk and began to study the pages.

The logo engraved on the cover was that of a strange symbol one that seemed to shoe the symbolic magic of strength and magic unified.

Ikki found a small inn and payed the lady at the front for a one person room.

"You cant take him in there with you its for one only! Youll have to pay for two!"

Ikki was tired exausted and out of money. He grabbed a gun and pointed it at the lady.

"Look lady, im tired, need a place to stay, and I have no more money. Ill make it up to you later."

He put his gun away took the key and went to the room. He dropped Katrea on the bed, locked the door, and passed out on the floor.

The boat travelled northwards across the open sea and the creaking on deck could be heard as andreas relaxed in his cabin. he could sense where risa lay and had given the captain orders to head in that direction.

she had better have gotten what he asked, risa served her purpose but she wasn’t always reliable. true she wanted to see to his whims but she had her own fulfilment which sometimes led her away from her true path. but he knew she would do what little she could to complete his task.

sometimes he pondered on his reasons for helping her when he first met her, she was little than nothing when he found her but she had amused him and as her cruelty devolved he had enjoyed her little games.

andreas looked out to the coast of one of the continents to the east, the mist, but it appeared she was no longer on it.

Katrea turned to the side of the bed and started to dream deeply. His heart began to race as he remembered more of his past. It seems like a broken tape only showing bits of the story in flashes. There was a grand fight and the word ORB and a woman with a black cloak.

"kya.....

The name was in the back of his skull trying to get out. He started to feel more at ease after a few moments.
