Here is the city of Rinth, capital of Anicadia. Many great people live and die here, just as all of the player will at least begin life here. It is a city combining both the technology of our present with the magic of the old. Great glass and steel skyscrapers sit side by side with stone monoliths. In short, it is what you make of it. Behold, Anicadia it is great, and yet it is also horrible.

Dark. Cold. Wet. three words. Words. Words were new. used to the old way, the former cold replaced with the new. old and the same yet not. head shakes and we walk, walk to where? the lab, the test, the tube is all forgoten. No longer home. find a new home the papers say, but they know we can't read. We want to stare at the pretty lights, so we do. Such pretty lights. Not like the labs... the old home... the.. pain.... arms... blood.... things, moving in the dark. Us moving. Finding new. A box, a place to hide. Dark. Cold. Wet.

Aria shivered as she walked down the street. She wasn't even tall enough to see over the vendor's counters that were boarded up for the night. Finding a nitch in the wall that was protected from the wind, she tucked herself into it and formed a small fire in her hands to warm herself.

Our tail is wet, it thought. We shook. To cold here, much to cold. Why so cold? why did He make us leave? we liked it there. it was, bearable. to be poked. Shivvers. Our tail is wet. to make it dry, would make us most happy. move. move. move. We get up. Shift, change, form of air and sound of void. It is otherself, smell is made sharper. Dark-light becomes eye-light. prowling on four feet now. Our tail is wet, bother.

Aria froze. It wasn't the cold or the rain that made her stop, she heard something in the shadows. She knew whatever it was could see her because of the light in her hand. She quickly dowsed it and felt the cold of the rain as well as the cold fear creap into her skin

Rain! of all the sins, water of the sky now. Happy this makes us not, we cry. Call out the roar of night. Make the rain terrifed, scare it back to it's hiding cloud. Loud, eching off around the walls. off a new sent. a new thing, hiding. Hide we must to. Hunt now, taste later. slip into shadow and wait.

She couldn't help but whimper when she heard the roar. It had to be a monster. What else would make such a horrible noise. She shook with terror as the tears rolled down her cheeks and mingled with the raindrops. She didn't have anyone she could run to for help. Mommy and Daddy were gone now. She curled into a tight a ball as she could and cried, hoping the monster wouldn't get her.

In the dark, we smell fear. Rolling waves of terror soaking and pooling with the rain. It scares us, this raw smell. Bright like a becon it leads to a dark spot, a placeof hiding. int it we can see a small thing. a small ball thing. we know not what it is. we let it lie. it trembles. we wuff. the air is musty, and hard to breathe.

Aria could hear heavy breathing right behind her. When it didn't leave after a few seconds, she turned to see what the monster looked like. She was sure it was the most terrifying thing see could imagine. Squeezing her eyes open she saw two large eyes looking at her. They looked like they belonged to a cat. She opened her own eyes more. She could see a large cat looking at her and sniffling in the rain.

We.. fade to it.... it falls to.... I.... I becomes flesh... flesh.... become... Me. Trent shook his head for a minute, those odd periods of thought had come with an oddly regular basis since he had left the lab. Something to worry about later. He had found, it would apear, a child had curled up. Trent mumbled a curse, he had proably scared her enough. Settling back and sitting down, he decided to let the kid calm down a little. Talking proably wou'ldnt help much at this point.

Her eyes widened as she stared at the biggest cat she had ever seen. She didn't even know cats could get that big. She liked cats though. She cautiously reached out a hand for it to smell.

Trent shook his head slowly. The hand thing... that just got so old. He could smell her perfectly from here, and all she honestly smelled like was rain seeing as how it was raining. Rain. what a bummer. He smiled. Time to flop back to being himself, as the techs would say, not just yet though. Talk first. He smilied a little and kept watching the girl, she was pretty small. Wonder why she was out here like this... it was to cold, to wet. "You know, I don't really need to smell your hand. It gets kinda annoying, sniffing hands all day." Trent sighed. "I will if it would make you feel better though.

Aria blinked. Was she dreaming, or had the cat just spoken? Considering it was at least fifteen times bigger than any normal cat that she knew of, why would it be odd for it to talk? She pulled her hand back and wrapped her arms against herself to keep warm. "I'm sorry Mr Cat. I didn't know it would annoy you. I'm very sorry." She wondered breifly if she was dreaming, but she felt it was too cold to be a dream.

Trent nodded. "It's alright. some people don't know, so it's not your fault. You look really cold." He blinked some rain of his eyes and looked around. What was a little kid doing in a dirty alley? may as well ask... "Why are you out here any ways? don't you have a home?"

Aria stared at the ground and shuffled her feet. The sounds of that night still echoed in her dreams, and lingered in her waking thoughts. She scowled at the injustice of it. She might as well answer. "I don't have a home anymore."
