Title is actually a Goo Goo Dolls song, if I'm correct. XD Or close or something. >.> For any that may look upon this thread, this is for my purposes and shall not have a direct impact on any storylines. It was created here for the purpose of training miss Dizzy Graves. Should Bolt wish it so I shall delete this thread. Until then, only the teacher and student are allowed to post in this thread. Training will be in the form of a melee spar. No powers, just weapons.

The ruins of the Aegis of Torment lay around the man in silent meditation, wisps of incarnum flowing around and through his being. This man is none other than Shar`Addan, Brother of Soul to Torment Nusradai, The Azure Phoenix. He was contemplating how best to train the one who was to meet him here this day. He could think of no better way than to give her a weapon of choice and enter into direct combat. With his training he could dull the edge of force of the blow behind his soul forged weaponry, but she wouldn't know that until she gained firsthand experience.

Walking into the room, Dizzy glanced about. Golden orbs asborbed the area, before looking around for her trainer.

It could hardly even be called a room, more like a section where the debris of the once storefront had been cleared away. He was sitting crosslegged before some shrine constructed from pieces of rubble, brick and stone. His eyes were closed but the nimbus of light around him was...daunting. As Dizzy drew close several wisps of incarnum flew out to greet her, swirling around her and hugging her curves as they explored with little care for personal boundaries. They passed through flesh and beyond, not entirely of this world. When he spoke his voice was stern, "I would have thought my...brother would have thought fit to subject me to some possible task, not the impossibility of making a fighter out of you."

The small whisps moved across her body, the hugging feeling not really something she minded. With a wave of her hand, she attempted to wave it off. Not that she cared. Her lips curved gently and looked at the man.
"Aw, but you don't even know me. I might be better then you think. "
She said, her voice thick with humor, her voice soft and low. Her golden orbs swirled for a moment, the color brightening. Looking away she re looked up at the 'king', and smiled. The brightening dimmed as she waited for his reply.

He couldn't help but laugh, "Incarnum tells me different of your prowess in battle. You don't seem to have the physical capabilities to wield any great weapon, nor does the Incarnum detect and strength of magic. If you think your skill so far above my judgement, strike me down." The wisps floating about her solidified into a formless mass before her, calling out to her as if begging to be taken, begging to have her will it into the shape of a weapon of her chosing. Similar wisps were gathered around Shar in a loose cloud in his lap.

Looking up at him, she just smiled lightly. Her long black lashes dropped as she dropped her golden eyes at the mass in front of her. Placing her hand over the wisps, she hummed. Thinking of what she wanted, she would prefer her own weapon that she did indeed have. But who knew if she could call it downward. Lifting her eyes towards him, she hummed once again.
Forming the weapon of her choice she wrapped her hand gently over the base of the japanese fighting fan. She would only need one at the moment. She supposed.
Fanning herself with the piece she looked at Shar.
"Now what o' great one. "

The wisps began to flow around him, creating a pace that would only steadily increase. With his eyes still closed he spoke calmly, "You have two options, mi'lady. You can strike me down or attempt to face me in honorable combat. Each has their advantages and disadvantages. That, or you can stand there and listen to me talk."

Continuing in the fanning, Dizzy looked at the floor in front of the man. Watching the whisps that circled around the man, she stared and stared at his body for a moment. Looking at his face, she leaned he rhead to the side.
" Well, Lets try the 'stand there and listen to you talk.' option. "
She said gently, as she clasped the fan shut and dropped her hand, the fan horizontal, both of her hands wrapped around the foot long fan.

As his eyes slid open they truly seemed green with envy, the emerald pupils glaring back at her, "Wrong answer." In a flurry of motion a great strand of light whipped out, a single bar of incarnum sweeping at her legs to trip her. The pain would be minimalized, but present nonetheless should he strike her. The incarnum that had been flowing around him now formed his most versatile weapon, the Longbow of Souls. It wasn't truly a longbow, more of a long quarterstaff which could be used similarly to such a weapon.

She assumed so. Legs sweeped out from beneath her, she bridged back, her left hand touching, and pushing her back into a handspring, her right hand flipped it open the japanese metal fan and stood up. Staring at the longbow,she looked up at the green eyes.
" I thought so."
She said quietly. A smile appearing on her lips.

He gave a slight chuckle as he slowly rose to his feet, "At least you aren't completely worthless. Come at me." The staff was brought before him and snapped in two over one knee. It seemed to have no ill effect upon the weapon, merely making two tonfas of sorts instead of a quarterstaff.

This is what she really was terrible at. Her golden eyes lighted up as she kicked off her right leg. As if a dart in the air, she came at Shar. The japense fan's end's were sharp like a blade and with a swipe of her arm, that was nearly blurry from the speed, it was aimed for his throat, when she was close to three feet of him. Knowing where her hand was going, she watched his movements though. Incase of a counterattack.

As she moved to dart at him so too did he move, tossing one of his tonfas at her, aimed to collide with her head on, quite literally. Should she somehow continue through Shar would slide to one side, the remaining tonfa ready to swipe upwardsat her handto throw her wild.

Placing her open hand out she clasped her hand over the tossed tonfa. Holding it, she stopped herself and moved out of the way from the swipe. Jumping back three feet, she gently tossed the tonfa from one end to the next in her hand. Looking at Shar, her goldens twinkled lightly.
