Aubrianna used to work here, on the corner of Ivy and Starkwell, in a little cafe that serves good coffee, better cocoa, and a whole array of nice little dishes and deserts. Because she used to work here, Aubrianna gets a few perks - like being able to arrange small gatherings for no charge.

This is a definite plus.

Many meet-and-greets (especially the ones Aubri is too busy to come to) will hopefully be held here.

Aubri was pleased. She'd sent out all the little cards along with the Uluen kittens (sometimes having daughters was a plus - they could be made to run all sorts of errands), inviting the new foster parents to come, have some coffee or pasta, get to know one another.

Oh, and even better - she didn't have to stick around.

After a short chat with her old boss, Aubri simply bought a nice hot caramel apple cider and headed out, hurrying to catch a cab back to the University. Lectures. Fun.

((As I have been prodded, so I shall start us off xd *drags Emi along as well*))

Nashorme glanced down at the small card again, then back up. "I think this is it," he mumbled to Farlest, shifting his arm a bit. Veth lay sprawled between said arm and his body, asleep. He hadn't really wanted to bring the two kittens along but well ... they couldn't really leave them at the apartment by themselves.

Thankfully, though, Veth seemed to have tired himself out on the way here and might just manage to sleep through most of this ... which would make his job easier. He was quickly finding out that at least he had been right about one thing; the amount of work this was likely to be.

But seeing the look on Far's face from time to time was almost worth it. And, well, the kittens themselves were making up the rest of it. Though they were a handful, he found himself liking the little terrors.

He peered over at the card in Nash's hand, "Yeah, would seem so." Mirr was perched on his shoulder, and Farlest kept fearing that, despite their catlike balance, the little guy was going to fall, so, like a good parent, kept one hand next to him in case he should teeter. Of course, the quiet kitten didn't move save to nuzzle his guardian every so often.

Farlest'd been watching Nash a lot lately, and it did seem that, in spite of his doubts, the other was indeed warming up to the whole thing. After all, Veth and his counterpart were near irresistable. He wondered at first, however, if it might not have been better that Nash had gotten the more passive of the two creatures. But now Farlest wouldn't have traded Mirr for the world.

Kyt trotted over to the cafe, recognizing the two who stood before it. Hecate had flatly refused to be carried in her arms, nor to attatch herself somewhere on Kyt's body.

So Hecate the Rebel traveled in one of Kyt's large pool bags.

And, thankfully for Kyt, it was still a very stylish bag that could pass as a large purse.

Hecate peeked her head over the top, intrigued with her surroundings and eager to explore.

Not gonna happen.
By now Kyt had learned that Hecate, true to her namesake, had three little personas she liked to use: Rebel, Semi-kindness, and Bad-a**. The first and last could probably be the same, except for the small versus large amount of trouble the cat-like creature got into. Today she was mostly Semi-Kindness, curiousity winning over mischeviousness.

Putting a hand on the doorknob, he opened the door and went into the cafe. Something in the sound of it, or possibly the smells of the place, woke Veth, and the kitten sat up, looking around wide-eyed.

"Oh, no you don't," he mumbled, letting go of the door to pin the little one with his other hand. He'd let him explore if he wanted, but -after- the door was shut.

Kalena was falling further and further behind with her appointments as the new school year had started. Stalking out of her school, she headed into town in desperate need for refreshment. Following the directions that Aubri sent her, Kalena dashed down the street. Jahi was tucked comfortably inside her large hand bag, wrapped gently in a blanket.

"I can't stand being late." she scowled, rushing down a side street. "Always when I need to be somewhere. Sorry, kiddo."

Kalena looked at Jahi apologetically. The little guy spent the day sleeping in a basket on her desk at work while she was forced to go to meetings. She tucked one of her stuffed animals in the basket with him to keep him company, but she didn't hear a peep out of him all day. Entering the door, Kalena toom in the scents and atmosphere of the cafe.

"Here we are, Jahi," Kalena said, scratching the sleepy boy behind the ears. "Time for the game face, sunshine."

Farlest covered his mouth with his hand, giggling at Veth. Mirr didn't seem the least interested in the other Dumyr's antics, and just sat, purring faintly, on the elf's shoulder, content to be where he was.

Far cast a glance around the place, deciding almost immediately that he liked it.

Once Kalena came in and the door was shut once more, he leaned over to set the kitten down, making a slight face when Veth still jumped out of his arms a few feet from the floor. "You'll hurt yourself like that one day," he mumbled, but let the little one go.

Veth was immediately exploring, sniffing at everything and jumped up onto whatever he could -get- to. Keeping an eye on him in case he needed rescue, which he likely would before this was over, Nash also looked around the cafe. It was a pretty nice place, he had to admit.

Glancing over at Kalena, he nodded slightly in greeting. "Hi, I'm Nashorme."

Kyt's entrance into the cafe made the little bell on top of the door jingle a bit. Hecate hissed at it. Kyt frowned.
"Be nice, Hecate. We're in public." The cat-like creature gave her a look with an eyebrow raised. Kyt rolled her eyes and closed the door behind her, heading toward the table where the other owners were gathering.
She plastered a smile on her face and stood near the edge of the table, watching a familiar man(He's one of the guys from Aubri's house, I remember.) say his name.

Kalena placed an order with the barista before walking over to the table where several indivuals had kittens of their own to tend after. From the looks of it, Kalena and Jahi couldn't have been a better match. Her cinnamon brown curls bounced as she gracefully walked across the room. Taking an empty seat she smiled broadly and introduced herself.

"It's nice to meet you, Nashorme. Everyone," Kalena said, reaching into her bag and gently taking Jahi out. "My name's Kalena Scope, and this little angel, is Jahi. Say hello to everyone, kiddo."

The little purple kitten with red markings and brilliant blue wings opened his eyes and nodded gracefully. Sitting carefully on Kalena lap, Jahi's eyes gazed around at the other kittens. They looked far more energetic and cheerful than he was, but then again most things were. Kalena scratched Jahi behind the ears affectionately, commending him on his bravery.

"Forgive him, he's a little shy," Kalena said smiling.

Farlest had smiled at Kalena and gestured to Mirr. "S'ok...he's not precisely outgoing himself." In response, the kitten blinked slowly, and then raised a paw with overexaggerated grace and batted at Far's dark hair. The elf grinned sheepishly, "I think he wants me to sit down so he can have a lap."

Upon Ante's rather abrupt entrance followed not too terribly long after by the stressed Joop, Farlest laughed aloud at the kitten's antics, an almost melodious sound. "He reminds me of Veth the way he acts." He cast a sly glance at Nash. "Those two would probably get along."

Waving an easy hand at Joop he replied, "Hey, don't worry...we know how they are, though my Mirrao is somewhat more laid back."

Nash glanced over, remembering Kyt as well and waved at her then smiled at Kalena. "Nice to meet you as well. And Jahi." He leaned toward the shy kitten a bit and made a sort of purring noise. He was careful that it wasn't -too- obvious how easy that was for him, as he was still maintaining the illusion that he was human.

Then he was distracted from that by Ante's entrance and then Joop's a few minutes later. He kept an eye on Veth and noted that, yup, Far was right. Ante and Veth were likely to get along. He sighed slightly and went to rescue his own little one from where he'd managed to get stuck somehow on a high shelf.

"Be more careful and don't climb so high yet," he mumbled, ruffling the kitten's fur just a bit before setting him down. He got no more than a tail flick and a quick rub in thanks before said kitten was off exploring again.
