General Rules for All Modes 🔹No one is allowed to make/create 'Next Day' art, regardless of mode. Themes are posted daily at 12:00am PST (midnight) along with the next day's themes. Next day themes are a preview for artists who may need to gather supplies doing traditional mediums or for anyone wanting to brainstorm art to create. This is not to be used to draw a day head! 🔹All modes must submit their art in their designated Gaia and/or Discord Thread to count 🔹All modes can choose to draw on theme OR NOT. There is also the freebie art collectors section if choosing to draw freebies for others. 🔹No more art can be submitted after June 8th 11:59pm PST 🔹All modes start with 5 Spirit Passes. Spirit passes can be used on days you do not feel like drawing or can't. Think of it as paid time off! Spirit Passes count as a completed art day. Additional Spirit Passes can be gained throughout the event for special occasions and art challenge days! Use them wisely! 🔸Communicate please! If something is happening in or around your life and you are inevitably missing art days that are out of your control we can work with you to make these days up or excused. Spirit passes are there for anyone to use as a cushion for these unlikely events, but it is completely understandable if something potentially lasts longer than the passes cover. It is your responsibility to let us know, however! In that same sense if you are being marked off on days incomplete and we haven't heard from you otherwise it is an easy fix so do not take it personally if you have been marked/moved before communication has happened. We just legitimately do not know what has happened to you!
🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸🔸
Designated Thread Rules for All Modes Art/creations made are to be submitted in your designated Guild or Discord thread to count. You have the option of having a Guild Thread, a Discord Thread, or both. Please see the newly dedicated 100 Days of Art Event Discord for Discord specific submission rules and how to create a thread there . For Gaia, a topic will be created for you by a mod in the 2025 Event subforum with your name as the title. The 1st post will be created by us with general information. After that all posts are yours. You will then post once a day with the art/creation you made to count as your submission.
Example [Post #1 - Mod Post] [Post #2 - Day 1 Art submitted] [Post #3 - Day 2 Art submitted] [Post #4 - Day 3 Art Submitted] [Post #5 - Day 4 Spirit Pass #1] [Post #6 - Day 5 Art Submitted] ... etc
🔸Do not DELETE any posts for any reason (this screws up the post count and we'll make you start a whole new topic to fix it) 🔸Do not post in anyone else's designated thread 🔸Do not make posts ahead of time, your time stamp is how we verify your deadline 🔸If using a Spirit Pass that day make a post stating 'using spirit pass' 'spirit pass' or something of that nature. We will edit your post and add your spirit pass in for you!
(formerly 'Hard' mode)
🔹Must draw/create each day 🔹Must give at least 15 minutes total effort 🔹Must submit in designated thread each day by the daily theme deadline [Extended Explanation]
Normal mode artists must submit a creation each day. You have to draw/create/craft for at least 15 minutes, but extended sessions are highly encouraged! You cannot start that day's theme until 12:00am PST that day and it must be submitted/posted by 23:59pm PST same day. Art/creations that are late is a missed art day. You will be forced to use a Spirit Pass to complete the day. If you have no Spirit Passes left you will be automatically dropped to Easy Mode for the remainder of the event.
[Here is a good example of a previous Artist thread in Normal mode (formerly hard mode)]
(formerly 'Ghost' mode)
🔹Draw/Create anything 🔹Do not make blank/placeholder posts [Extended Explanation]
Easy mode artists can draw/create with as much or as little effort as they choose. Easy mode artists are welcome to draw/create on theme or utilize freebie requests. Easy mode artists do not have a deadline to submit art daily in their designated threads however ALL art must be completed and posted by end of the event to count. That means if you draw 50 pieces by June 8th any art you add or draw after that won't count, you will be noted as having completed 50 pieces of art. If you decide to draw one day, skip some days, draw again do not make placeholder posts. Simply submit the next post when you draw it. Easy mode is not expected to abide by the theme and deadline rules so no order is expected. Because easy mode does not have to complete 100 days, spirit passes are actually entirely useless for this mode unless you are still challenging yourself in some way. For example, some artists still like to commit to the strict guidelines of Normal mode submission times and amount of effort but want to just draw whatever they want instead so they pick Easy mode and still use Spirit Passes for their own accountability, but it is not required.
Example [Post #1 - Mod Post] [Post #2 - Day 1 Art Submitted] [Post #3 - Day 2 Art Submitted] [Post #4 - Day 6 Art submitted] [Post #5 - Day 7 Art Submitted] ... etc [Here is a good example of a previous artist thread in Easy Mode (formerly called ghost mode). This artist sometimes chose to draw on theme and other times did not!]

Wanting to earn additional spirit passes? Spirit challenges are lengthy and typically multi-day theme challenges that can be completed to earn additional spirit passes. They are completely optional to pick, however in order to earn a pass you must complete the entire challenge! Completing 1 of 2 days would not earn you a pass, however the art would still be on theme for the day.
On multi day Spirit Challenges, they are typically structured like so: - Day 1, you will draw something on theme. Explanations for the theme with examples can be found on the website. - Day 2, you will take someone else's drawing or submission and either add onto it or modify it - At the end of day 2, everyone who participated in both days will be granted a spirit pass
Any currently active and past spirit challenges and its relevant information will be found in this post and the Discord!
Day 84/85 - Create a scene Day 84- First part participants
crazypieloverangel - I'm excited for this one
WraythRose Darkthorn - Yeah, wow this took a while! Still rough looking but I've never really gotten past this "stage" of digital art I like birch trees
onsyu - I was iniitiallly drawing something lse hence the time haha but excited as always
Unnecessary info: It took me a while to come up with this background idea. I kept thinking of backgrounds I drew for this SC in previous years. Finally, it crossed my mind to draw a stump in a forest — Legend of Zelda vibes. I sketched it out before filling in with colors. Once I drew the clouds, it felt familiar….. and then it hit me that it’s similar to my recent Where the Wild Things Are drawing. lol. OTL …. So I just want it known that I put a lot of thought into being this unoriginal XD
xAmalgamationx - It's supposed to be a rocky ocean pool
yellowberry -
Kumi Kasahara -
------------------------------
Day 85- Second part participants
WraythRose Darkthorn - Before I even started the timer I think I spent 15 mins just trying different brushes I have in my photoshop to find something similar rofl
crazypieloverangel - Everyone's backgrounds were really good ;-; I couldn't decide so I did them all
xAmalgamation - here is egg without bg, i tried to match the style of the bg
onsyu - Sorry I'm wiped I will respond crying Wraythrose Darkthorn's gorgeous BG!
sdrawkcab
yellowberry - I drew a bird flying directly at you, the bird is inspired by many fictional birds, not sure exactly which one
Kumi Kasahara - so many pretty backgrounds~ added a bunch of fairies~
Wraythrose Darkthorn Having never played DND my only info is random online osmosis & one time my brother tried explaining how to create a character...So here is a level one half dark elf ranger/rogue. She has viking braids (mini dutch braids?) along one side of her head & the rest is on the other side apart from 2 hanging braids. Also wears her hair up for convenience.
sdrawkcab Main takeaway: He's a turtle man (tortle race) and a druid. He's a spellcaster (and eventual shapeshifter level 2+). Yeah he's got a shell, but he's still allowed to carry a shield. XD
Kumi Kasahar Used a previous character base (from day 52:Goth and will prob keep using it for style-ish themes). New character from bg3. Drow bladesinging wizard. I'm still trying to figure the build out . _.;; It casts spells with a sword.
Quadropopilous My dude doesn't need a mouth but makes one. Since he doesn't understand it well he accidentally puts his mouth in the wrong spots or makes extra mouths. Class unspecified, make his expertise as you will!
crazypieloverangel Level 1 Shadow Monk. More like a ninja character in my eyes lmao. Closest to a ninja there is, so I gave him kunai, or you can draw shivs XD Or whatever floats your boat! Just think of his moveset as literal ninja moves like shadow teleportation, etc.
Lucid Hallucinogen I'll include a couple of other reference pictures for this character. This is actually a friend's character and I really liked the design so I doodled her up really quickly.
-----
Day 58 - Second part participants
Wraythrose Darkthorn Quads character as an advanced potions master! Also I just love the idea of him saying hi with the mouth widely smiling in the hand raised as part of the "hi"! rofl
sdrawkcab (Wrayth's and Quad's) ----- Wrayth’s character. Couldn’t resist a half drow rogue ranger. I looked up a high level ranger spell (swift quiver). Basically magic ammo. I had to add a splash of color for my drawing to make sense. …. I’ve googled since and it’s apparently a crappy spell. lol. Sorry. ------ Quad’s character. Got hooked on the idea of the plasmoid now carrying bottles itself… And some bones to fit in with humans and other humanoids. Lol
Kumi Kasahar (Lucid) Lucid Hallucinogen's submission. I didn't leave enough time to finish it. (I'll go back to it) "YAY! I'm level 100 and got a longer cloak!" atm haha
Quadropopilous (Wrayth's) I cannot tell you how many times I re-drew armor. And it still is wonky in the middle. I wanted to line this and color it but I spent so much time trying to make the armor look like armor ; x ;. I figured a rogue/archer level 100 would have acquired some rare armor that archers/rogues typically can't ever get and have at least some basic level magic even as a non-primary magic user since that's what I've seen out of most OP DND characters
crazypieloverangel (sdrawkcab ) I wanted to do everybody's but my mind is at a blank today unfortunately. I hope you like it @/sdrawkcab
Lucid Hallucinogen (sdrawkcab) I drew @/sdrawkcab 's tortle druid. I'll be honest I haven't played DnD in years. The last character I played was part of a monster campagin where I played a bugbear bard, but I love weird/unique characters. I also have never played a druid. But I imagine they could do some wicked stuff at level 100 (I am not sure I've ever head of an adventurer reaching that high of a level?)
Day 43/44 - Headshot of character with and without hair
Day 43 - First part participants:
onsyu Comments: My avatar is a cosplay avatar so emotion_skull here is Kosei Shishido again... it was kind of funny to see how high his hairline is on the model actually lol my old man <3 but I wanted to draw in the hairline in case anyone wanted to have his hair up because he has a widow's peak
Kumacchiato
sdrawkcab Comments: different iterations. I made a version with or without the hat, in case the hat affects the hairstyle. I’m also including a version with just the line art in case anyone wants to print it out or just not deal with color :)
WraythRose Darkthorn Comments: Drew my character bald first, & photographed it, then drew the hair & photographed it. Hope this works! lol edit - I forgot to draw the horned crown/tiara, whoops, ah well, add what ever accessories you so wish!
yellowberry Used yellowberry's, Wrayth's, Pie's, Kumi's, Xatusia's, and Kuma's

Freebie Art Requests When the themes don't appeal to event artists, sometimes it just helps to go back to making art for others for inspiration. Event artists have the opportunity to draw freebie requests to count for daily art submissions. This year being an art collector is easier than ever! The public (or even you, Artist can be Art Collectors too!) can post requests in our dedicate Freebie forum for the event! Visit the forum for more details!
We also have art requests in our 100 Days of Art Discord if interested! Please be mindful where the art request is and post it in their respective places (either the Gaia Freebies thread or the Discord Art Requests)

Please note this includes all Gaia and Discord participants
A Weekly Shine on Art Spotlight is posted weekly (simultaneously on Gaia and on Discord). Spotlight highlights one piece of art from each artist that was posted during that week.
Spotlight runs a little differently this year compared to past years. Since the event takes place on both Gaia and Discord, the Spotlight Archive is hosted on Imgur. The archive is usually posted in a Gaia thread. The Imgur Albums are hidden. The albums can only be viewed using the direct links. If you have any issues or questions, please don't hesitate to message sdrawkcab. sdrawkcaB will readily make changes.
(The first few Spotlights were created using the order of recent posts. The order is effectively arbitrary. The albums after that are alphabetical as usual.)
