Tihomir grumbled quietly to himself as he walked down the path to the beach. He had been kicked out of the house, again, and was told by his father that he needed to spend some time outside. It wasn't that he didn't like going outside. No. It was that he didn't lie how much the bright sun made his eyes hurt a little. Or when he stayed in thee sun too long and his skin burned and turned pink or red. His father had said his skin would probably adjust a little bit if he stayed in the sun enough but Tiho never felt like that was the case. His skin never shifted like his fathers did and he found that it upset him just a little. It likely would have bothered him more if his eldest sister didn't have the same issue with her dark skin. "At least it was more suited for this climate..." He mumbled quietly. Tiho managed to stay in the shadows as much as he could as he wound down the cliffside path to the part of the beach that was normally shaded at this time.

Xylia let out another sigh as studied the ocean, her thoughts still a tangled mess. What was she supposed to do now? The hybrid shook her head before pushing away from the wall. "No more moping about." She chastised herself as she took a few steps forward. Now where did she go? Xylia had been so focused on the ocean ahead that she hadn't even noticed the youngling in the shadows! Stumbling as she bumped into the boy, Xylia let out a gasp before catching herself and holding a hand out to catch the youngling as well. "Sorry about that! You okay?"

Tiho had let out a rather girlish squeak as someone bumped into him and he couldn't help but cringe away from whoever was touching him. He was used to his skin being pretty sensitive and even though he wasn't burned today it was a habit. "Oh, uh, hi. Yeah, I'm okay I think." The boy said nervously. His hand gently rubbing his arm nervously.

"Are you sure about that?" Xylia raised a brow with concern as she glanced at the boy. He seemed to react as if something was hurting him. "Did I hurt your arm?" She asked as she crouched down, a habit she had gained since realizing her Aishan blood usually made her taller than most already. Xylia's expression shifted with concern as she studied him. Something was wrong, right? Was she just overreacting?

"I'm never sure." He said without thinking Tihomir then realized he hadn't actually meant to say that and a blush covered his cheeks. "No I'm okay....I'm used to having a sunburn but I haven't been outside in awhile so I don't have one right now but I normally do and so that's what had actually startled me..." The young boy trailed off as he realized he was rambling. "Sorry..." He said, his blush still heating his cheeks.

"It's okay." Xylia smiled encouragingly at the boy. It was so adorable how shy he seemed! If anything she just wanted to make him more comfortable. There was no need to be mean to someone who already seemed to be dealing with a few things. "I can understand that a little bit." She gestured towards her arms. "I have my Alkidike mother's tone but we live in Oba and all of my siblings can deal with the sun easier than I can." Xylia chuckled before pausing thoughtfully. Should she? The girl nodded before digging around her satchel and holding up a small jar towards the boy. "I have a salve made from some plants found in Oba. It's a cooling agent and helps your skin to recover after a burn. There's also some lotions that help prevent burns if you like and don't mind smelling a bit fragrant." She much preferred the cooling ointment but the preventative one supposedly helped others who relied upon it more than Xylia did.

Tiho nodded hesitantly, "Yeah. My siblings got either my moms yaeli skin or my dads shifter day skin. Somehow I got the shifter night skin." He sighed, clearly feeling the differences between him and his family. Yet, when the girl offered out a jar to him and explained, he looked at her a little suspicious for a moment. Carefully he took the jar before opening it and a familiar scent hit his nose. "Oh I think my parents have gotten this before. We used it when i was a baby a lot. I dont know that we've found any that prevent the burn though..."

"I see." Xylia smiled. "That would explain a lot then. It just means they're luckier with the sun while you're favored by the moon." She teased lightly before watching him inspect the jar. "You can have the jar if you'd like. My family is from Oba so we have plenty at home just in case someone gets a burn." It was good for some other home remedies and her mother made a paste that was good for their teeth too that they sometimes used with the prickly green plant. Xylia slowly nodded as she thought about the preventative lotion. "It's a bit more complicated to make but it helps. You have to use a mixture of oils and some beeswax to make a protective coating. The nobles add a bit of a fragrance since they like to smell fancy but that's all I have with me." She pulled out a smaller jar and opened it. Putting a finger she scooped up some of the lotion and smeared it on her arm. "See? Nothing too crazy, just a lotion." Xylia held out the jar. "Wanna try some?"

"Maybe you're right..." Tiho said with a shy smile. He turned the jar over in his hands a few times as he thought about it. He didn't really know this person and should he really take such a thing from then, whether it was offered or not? She made it seem as if it wasn't a big deal so he figured it probably wasn't then. As he made his decision, he nodded with another small smile. "My parents met in Oba, or so they told me. And lived there for quite some time before they moved here and established the Violet. I wonder if Miss Aseara would be able to send is any of this stuff..." He said quietly as he stuck a finger into the small fragrant jar and smushed it between his fingers a little before smearing a bit on his nose, ears, and cheeks.

"The violet?" Xylia blinked at him with curiosity. "What is the Violet?" She was new to the area but it sounded like an interesting place. "If you keep the jars as samples I'm certain someone could help you find more. It's definitely popular in Oba so there should be options." She knew her family had connections thanks to her Oban mother's family and status but surely it was accessible to others, right?

"The Violet Strumaria." Tihomir said as if it were the simplest thing. "My parents established it after my mom left her business partner at the Red Amaryllis in Oba." His tongue tied a little as he bad tried saying Amaryllis but he got it right after a few tries. "Are you sure its okay for me to take these?" Tiho asked uncertainly.

"Oooh I think I heard about that." Xylia grinned as she made the connection. "That's for dancers, right? I've heard they have some really entertaining shows there with lots of talented people! So your mother is a dancer?" Her gaze gleamed with interest. How awesome! "It's fine. I have plenty at home." Xylia promised him with a smile. "My family can afford to give a few out."

He nodded his agreement as she must have recognized Mizz Aseara's place. Tiho had never been there but he thought he had heard his older sisters talking about it. "Mhmm. My mom is a dancer and my dad... well my dad does a lot of stuff. He fixes stuff and helped build our house and goes on adventures to help people when he needs to." His dad might not have one set job but he was still pretty awesome. Suddenly, it occurred to him that this nice girl was giving him things and yet he didn't even know her name. "Whats your name?" He asked quickly. "I'm Tihomir. Or just Tiho."[/n]

"Sounds like a good sort." Replied Xylia with a small smile. "I'm Xylia and it is a pleasure to meet you Tiho." She glanced about before looking back towards the boy. "Would you want to test out the lotion? We could go play on the beach if you'd like." She smiled encouragingly. "I'm guessing you wanted to do something since you were wandering out here, right?" So why not play and see if the lotion helped him out? She truly hoped it would!

Tiho's mouth quirked to the side as he tried to work out how to say her name but quickly gave up. "I was just planning to stay in the shade. My parents kicked me out of the house and told me to be outside. His pouty face said he clearly would have rather stayed inside doing whatever he had been doing. "But I guess we can go test it out. I don't really do it a lot so I'm not really sure what to do..." He admitted.
