Quote: Prompt 2: The downside to an army of little bunnies is that they burrow. There are holes peppering Destiny City, and with the fresh fallen snow it can be impossible to tell where they are hiding. The holes range from small holes to several feet deep, so can be a minor inconvenience to a potential hazard. On the bright side, sometimes you wind up covered in bunnies looking for warmth from their sudden guest. On the other hand, there are a rising number of trips to the hospital for twists and sprains. A few days had passed with little incident. At least from the deer or any other strangely behaving animals that might be out and about. Oh, there were still bunnies. Every time he went out, he usually found a handful of them. He'd even taken to carrying treats in his pockets, bought at the pet store and special made for rabbits. If he stopped at a grocery store, he'd always come out with some vegetable to divide among any he passed by on his walk back home. He'd even started going on walks purposely to look for rabbits to feed. He really wanted to take one home and inspect it further. They behaved just like normal domesticated rabbits. But despite the fact they were far from normal rabbits, he didn't want to risk what might happen when they came into contact with his cat. Though, with her dislike of the cold, it seemed highly likely once she touched the other creature, she'd never want to go near it ever again. "Hello, little fella." Opening the small bag he was carrying, Isiah pulled out a piece of lettuce and, bending down, held it out for the pure white rabbit he had just come across. As if it was his own pet rabbit and had trusted him for years, it nibbled instantly on the lettuce, giving a few tugs until he relinquished his hold on it. He watched silently as it shrunk in size at a steady rate into the mouth of the rabbit. He offered it another, which it took gratefully, munching away happily on top of the snow. Before long, he'd attracted a few others, all seeking the food in his bag. Or the food of their neighbor, if he wasn't quick enough to give them their own piece.

Rabbits! Rabbits everywhere! Alexandra had gotten used to the poresence of the little white bunnies in her day to day, asnd she liked them. Tiny and sweet, the rabbits made the red head half-smile faintly, affording the animals hesitant pets. Alexandra likewd them well enough, but aftyer Broderiuck vanished, she wasn't sure where to stand. She was coping though, slowly and calmly, but opening up was a cause for caution before she spied someone with a bunny nibbling lettuyce. People were a great distraction, and Alexandra slowly turned to begin approaching, calm and pleasant before she waved. "Hey. Awesome rabbits, am I right?" She greeted calmly, a half-smile on her face.

Twitching noses and crunching sounds was all that Isiah could focus on for the minutes he was busy feeding a bunch of adorably white bunnies. Anyone who passed him by in this time only gave him a look and continued on and for now, that was fine. He was enjoying the company of all the animals, even the impatient ones who couldn't wait for another piece of lettuce or carrot and edged closer, noses extended in anticipation.
So he gave a bit of a start when someone stopped and paid attention to him, so lost in the little world before him he had been.
"Hey," he greeted back, beaming his own smile towards the new person as he turned his head to look at them from where he remained crouched down. It felt like so long since he'd meet anyone new. When it'd probably only been a few weeks, at most. Maybe it was the holidays putting him in a weird mood. "They're certainly....Interesting." Isiah turned his brown eyes back to the rabbits, placing the rest of what was in the bag on top of the snow for them to gather around. Standing up, he stuffed it into his coat pocket, the smile never leaving his face as he focused most of his attention on the human in his midst. "I'm no expert on rabbits, but I've never seen anything like them before. Isiah Paskal, by the way." He added this with a slight nod of his head over a boring ole handshake.

Alex was patient, twatching before a lopsided grin spread across her face and she shook his hand heartiuly. His last namew almost sounded familiar, but not enough to be decidedly familiar and she presumed she heard it at some stupid rich person party in passing. Well forget that horsepucky! "Alexandra Pepper!" Alex introduced as she gladly shook his hand before looking at the rabbitys curiously again. "Man, I have never seen so many rabbits. They keep popping up all over the City like daisies!" She sighed. "You run into many? I nearly fell into this giant burrow picking up incense earlier. Also, how do you do, or whatever 'powite society' says these days." She wasn't angruy, or nasty -=- actually, her posture was lazy and the lopsided, goofy grin remained on her face, good natured and even cheery tone proof she was feeling good aBOUT MEETING SOMEOne new; arms crossing in her dragon hooded jacket comfortably, the top compliomented by red and bnlack snowrtrights and calf high furry Ugg boots before she motioned askywards. "You think these rabbits are magic? My old lady had five trying to mooch attention this morning. Poor things don't realize my mother is a soulless money zombie."

"All the time!" Isiah responded, raising his hands above his head in emphasis. He could already feel himself feeding off the other girl's energy, as he so often did. By nature, he wasn't very energetic, as much as people usually expected him to be upon first meeting him. He just had a wild imagination that he tented to share with everyone around him, whether they wanted it or not. "I've begun keeping rabbit or rodent treats in my pockets every time I leave the house." He pulled a few out of said pocket to proof it before stowing them away, again. These rabbits had had a bag full of vegetable'. That was enough food for them. There was no need to be spoiling them with more goodies.
He was also feeling pretty good about meeting someone new. He always did. It was exciting, so different from the kinds of people he was around while in England. He often came out of these exchanges now with a good feeling and sometimes a new friend. One could never have too many friends.
"Polite society?" he asked with a smirk, feeling all the emotions being expressed behind those words. Yes, he'd had to be on his best behavior many times before for his parent's dinner parties or get-togethers. Usually he ended up doing the exact opposite and storming out of the house to cause even more problems elsewhere. He gave a laugh upon hearing Alex describe her mother. "Ah, you have parents like that, too?" But being a topic he didn't much care for, he quickly added, "I guess magic is one way to describe how snowflakes just fall out of their fur like that. Or why they're as cold as the snow, yet don't seem to be bothered by any of that."

"They're pretty cute. I've been trying to catch one to keep since my cat's gone now, bbut they don't seem to go into my house." Alex shrugged, bending to pick one up and then she began to rub it betyween the ears. She was contemplative, quiet several moments. She hated thinking about 'money' herself, and the redhead seemed to be thinking before she looked to Isiah. "Friendly at least. Heeeyyy, maybe they're magic snowshoe bunbuns or winter spirits. I never know in this town anymore." Seriously, Destiny City was weird. Weeeeiiiird. Ther woman rubbed the rabbit's ears, feeling.. Good, really. Things fgelty good right now. Friendly company, away from home... It was nice and she nuzzled the rabbit a bit. "Magic buns~" She cooed. Well, so much for pride.

Isiah was not going to argue, of course, about Alex not continuing the conversation on polite society and parents. It did nothing but stir his blood in a negative way and he didn't like going about the rest of his days in a funk. Been there already as a teen angry at everything and everyone around him, done with that.
"I'd like to try catching one, but I don't know how it or my cat would react to each other." He offered a sympathetic smile at her loss, feeling the sadness himself at the thought of losing Allie. He gotten her as a kitten shortly after arriving in America, as a welcome gift from his grandparents. An odd gift to give a teenager who just a week prior was a destructive little a*****e and showed no signs of being able to care for anything else let alone himself, but he didn't complain. He'd secretly always wanted a pet and cats were always the animal he'd loved the most. His grandparents had taken a wise gamble.
Taking a treat out of his pocket, Isiah offered it to the rabbit in the woman's arms, smiling at the adorably twitching nose that rabbits always had.
"Whatever they are, they are precious little angels,"

"They are super cute." Alex agreed, poetting the rabbit in her arms,. The woman moved to approach, glad the polite society drivel was over with herrself as she shifted. "I'll figure oiut.. S--" Alex took another step and suddenly her ankle gave as she stepped into a hole in the snow and she acted reflexivewly. She posited herself between the rabbit and the ground to buffer it as she landed on her back hard, a string of profanity erupting from her in a highly unladylike fashion as she lie in the snow a moment, the tiunnel under her collapsing and leaving an Alex-shaped hole in the snow that she laid in and blinked, still holding the rabbit.
For a moment, she lay trhere stunned, befopre the animals moved to zerg and she finally squeaked.
"Okay then, I am apparently paying for stepping into a burrow. Uhm... Whay do?"
Because for now, she was stunned. Not sore overmuch, but stunned.

Isiah kept his out steady, still paranoid of the animal bolting if he got too close to it despite how friendly they seemed to humans. It wasn't like he had much experience with prey animals. They had a tendency of bolting at sudden movements randomly, right? He knew his cat sometimes had fits and would suddenly pounce on his foot and start playfully biting him when seconds before she had been quietly relaxing besides him on the couch.
But there was no need to worry. For the rabbit was perfectly content in the woman's arms, even as it fell to the snow bank below them. Instinctively, he dropped the treat and made a grab, missing completely and just watching the two drop. As Alex made contact with the ground, he winced, out of empathy for how that must have hurt.
Stepping closer and to the side, keeping his distance in case the burrow wanted to take him, too, Isiah bent his body double, hands inside his pockets to stare down with concern written all over his face.
"Good grip," was the first thing he said, smiling at the sight of all the adorably wiggling rabbits cuddling closer for warmth. "Do you need a hand up, because that looks awful comfortable."

"...Would be appreciated." Alex admitted. She mobved slowly to place the rabbity down, sighing and looking aroundf at the herd of cuddly puffballs. "I used to have a cat, that I used to carry, so I'm used to shielding small furry thinghhs." But he'd disappeared, so Alex wasn't overfond of saying much about him as she siighed, assessing hewrself. Her ankle was protesting her fall angrilyu, and Alex frowned, snorting.
"Methinks my asnkle doth protest. A lot."

"Are you in the habit of falling down a lot?" Isiah asked, hoping the question was enough away from the topic of cats. Unless the cat was somehow dipping the balance in her arms, it should be. He definitely didn't want to bring up the lost animal he was empathizing with, knowing full well the state he'd be in if he lost Allie. Thankfully, she didn't seem too keen on going outside, even when it was warm outside. He guessed some cats were just content looking out windows and hanging out with their humans and didn't feel the bug to explore. Or maybe she'd grow into it later on, after more years spent in the same surroundings. Who knew? He sure didn't. This was his first pet.
But the friendly smile on his face should be enough to let people know he never meant any harm when he spoke. Naturally didn't stop some people from seeing meanings behind his words that he didn't intend to put there, but whatever. That was on them.
"You wouldn't be the first with a twisted ankle from these holes," the man commented matter-of-factly, offering his hand down for the taking to instantly pull Alex up. "Shall I escort you to the ER like a proper gentleman? You can lean on my shoulder. Or I can carry you like a gallant knight if you'd prefer."

"Falling... Noo." Al;ex chuckled, accepting the help getting up. She was grateful the topic was off cats, even if it was on her own ability to balance - it was soothing and calm, ing and she wasn't TOO proud to admit it.
To herself.
Alex shifted slowly at last, and let Isiah pull her up, lifting the wounded leg slowly. There was no grace or delicacy -- if one didn't know her clothing was high end she'd probably look normal, a blessing, in her eyes,. and she sighed.
"The ER or Urgent Care might be good, yeaH. Ankle hurts liker a mother."
She hummed thoughtfully, then looked to Isiah.
"Hey, weird question. Ever wanna mess with rich peoiple?" He seemed like a good accomplice for messing with her mother!

Isiah hoisted Alex up on her feet easily, still maintaining a bit of muscle mass so as not to be an easy win for anyone thinking to mess with him. So far in America, he'd not had to test this out too often. The group of friends he'd chosen to keep around him this time were much better. All close to his personality, they all enjoyed goofing off together and not taking life too seriously.
Mostly, his keeping up a tiny workout routine had come in handy with weathering the punches from one of his female friends and a co-worker. One of those ladies hurt, even when she wasn't trying to.
"No more falling," he warned, pointing a finger at her like a disapproving parent. "You can grab my shoulder or arm or whatever, if you wish." Releasing her, he put his hand back in his pocket, pointing out his elbow just slightly and wiggling it a few times to emphasized she could link her arm in his if she needed it. Since she'd say no to the carrying-of which he was very glad, that would have been far too awkward-he hoped she'd at least take his arm so they could safely start walking to their new destination.
"Mm? Are you suggesting a little....Chaos?" At the last word, Isiah grinned a bit wider. Why, yes. He was always up to causing a bit of chaos. Didn't matter to who. So long as it was dangerous, anyway.

Alexandra grabbed Isiah's arm swiftly, holding on for dear life to avoid harming herself more before laughing.
"But I just... Feeeeell for these little guys!" She quipped, amused by her own horrible joke before she grinned,
"Maybe a teeny bit..." She traailed off. "Glitter bombs and such. Thinks we can conceal fingerprints on at some hoity toity 'We're rich and we must boast about it' get togethers that I'm sick of my mother making me meet every freaking eligible sdon at." The end trailed into a miunor snarl of anger as she huffed, then hummed. "So maybe a liottle chaos."
Said a vindictive, ruthless tyrant of a woman with this kind of thing. She wanted cohorts! Then she could make them leave her alone.

Isiah patted her hand with his free one, beginning the slow move down the sidewalk towards the nearest medical center. More wary than ever before about potential holes in the sidewalk and avoiding piles of snow that could be concealing more, he kept at a slow pace, only putting one foot forward when Alex hobbled back up to his side. He glanced back once at the rabbits on the sidewalk, reaching into his pocket and tossing back a few treats for them to munch on. No tripping him in an attempt to cuddle closer now that they got the taste of human warmth.
"What was that, now? Eligible sons?" he asked, turning his head back around, using his free hand as a balance so the extra weight on his other side didn't cause a shift and topple them. He dared throw a smirk her way, not sure if it qualified as flirting or not. What experience did he even have with that? One just never heard those two words very often spoken out loud. But than he figured he shouldn't be surprised some parents still tried to have a very active hand in their child's life. Thankfully, his never did, despite him being the only child of a CEO who hoped he would take it over one day and keep the business in the family.
"I guess my rich family name has no merit over here like it does in England. Pretty sure my grandparents don't go to any of these parties. And if they do, they never made me go." He watched as someone passing gave them a look, shaking his head and chuckling. "Prank some snobs, eh? I'm down."
