COURTYARD
A large courtyard surrounded by the light greenery of hedges and ornate bricking around the middle; accentuating the large fountain. The fountain is surrounded by small tables and benches for one to eat lunch or relax with some friends after class. Should one find themselves in the courtyard at night; they'll be greeted with beautiful lighting that highlights the areas around the middle.

I don't think there's any reporters over here. It's difficult enough to move about normally, but having reporters all over Blake's a bit more troublesome than I thought it'd be. Rowan thought to himself, avoiding his Mage for the time being in an effort to keep a scandal or something of the sort from leaking. He had not quite informed the world that he was her Knight yet, and he planned to keep it that way for the time being. Or, at least, until Natalia decided it was the proper time to reveal that secret. I just don't trust that woman's plans at all. She seems to have everything calculated down to the very finest detail. Rowan thought to himself, checking his own phone, albeit with a few problems, to see what was occurring on some social media sites. Unfortunately, one of the things that he had been trying to prevent had occurred. Someone had pointed out a few pictures that were taken of Blake with Rowan barely visible in the background. It seemed like a few rumors were already spreading around about the mysterious man in the background of Blake's events.

You would think they'd believe I was some rabid fan like the rest of them... but they're pretty intuitive, aren't they? Rowan thought to himself as he read a few comments that believed him to be some kind of stalker that was watching her from afar. A sigh escaped his lips, mostly because Rowan truly agreed with that assessment to a degree. The way he protected his Mage was very stalkerish, with Rowan lurking in the backgrounds or on rooftops and watching over her like some kind of large bird of prey or something of the sort. Maybe he should find a new way of keeping her safe, one that did not involve torches and pitchforks being picked up to protect her honor. I guess that's better than crushing their hopes and dreams though. All of these people have some sort of romantic attachment to her, and finding out about me would probably dash any sort of romanticism they could fantasize. Rowan thought to himself as he stared up towards the sky with a rather absentminded expression on his face.

This world's so incredibly different... that being in a place like this feels so strange right now. No big cities, no humans everywhere. It's just a school in the middle of nowhere. It almost feels like I'm back on our world. But that really isn't the case, is it? Rowan concluded, closing his eyes and letting out a slight sigh, a bit unhappy with the conclusion that he had come to. If he had been less careless... stronger... then their groups may have been successful in bringing down the witches before they caused all of this havoc. Now the wielder of the "Unforgivable Spear" was missing, Rowan was technically "Missing," although Carmillion was looking for the Delinquent of Shibuya instead. Worst of all were the people that claimed that it was their fault this happened in the first place. If Rowan and that demon woman had been strong enough... then the two of them might have just prevented all of the problems the Terrans face today. With that logic, though, they wouldn't have any of these conveniences they value so much. They're really picky when the want to be, aren't they?

The whole situation was problematic for Rowan, and it made him rather frustrated whenever he thought about it. In fact, just the thought of him being blamed because of his failures soured his small reprieve in the courtyard. With a scowl like this, it's no wonder Nat hasn't tried to reveal Blake's big secret. Rowan thought to himself as he turned around and stared at his reflection within the fountain. Had he always looked so fierce when he was deep in thought? The man looked positively livid, definitely unapproachable. Blake must have a lot of guts to keep hanging around me when this is the expression she sees every single day. Rowan thought to himself, cracking his neck slightly as he turned away from the fountain. All he needed to do was wait for the others to regroup here, that way they could head to wherever they needed to be. After all, Natalia knew the location that she had set up, and she could probably guess where Rowan would have ended up after running away from the cameras.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ "Geez, I knew this would get some attention but not this much. Sorry. They're kinda overwhelming today, huh?" Blake called out with a smile upon finding Rowan. It didn't surprise her that he'd wandered off to one of the least crowded areas. He'd said he would come to the school alongside her, and here they were. The magus was a little worried about him, though. Natalia was handling the rest of the press before meeting up with them. She just hoped this wasn't causing too much a disturbance to the school and their faculty and staff while things were still getting moving. At least it was less likely a student distraction this way. Besides, visits like this ended up looking good for both parties. "Can you believe this place is for the sole purpose of training Knights and Mages? I seriously never thought we'd see something so... progressive," she murmured, looking around at the courtyard as she spoke. I can't help but think that the high council's participation in this is begrudging. They just seemed to have jumped on the idea for the sake of not being one-upped by the kingdom of Eldrin. Blake walked pass Rowan, sitting on the edge of the fountain before smiling up at the Knight. "It's kind of exciting, and most of the news around it is in a positive light. After all, it's to promote relations between everyone. A symbol of unity. I can't help but be a little worried, though... There are people out there who are going to criticize it, you know? I just hope everything goes well." She ran a hand through her hair, contemplating how this was all going to go down. While everything so far had gone over pretty smoothly regardless of a few issues, there were still a few people who did not like the way things were now. People from Earth who saw the people of Terra as over-powered ticking time bombs and people from Terra who did not quite trust their new neighbors. Political conflict was low, but sometimes there was still a strange tension in the air and not a thing a little pop idol could do about it. Duchess or not, her position could only hold so much weight. She breathed.

"Nat said she'd finish things up and then meet us in a minute. Luckily, I don't think they can really follow us around the school. It is a learning facility and all. You excited to check the place out?" Blake asked, trying to get her mind off the depressing thoughts that threatened to creep in. Rowan had seemed pretty excited about the school and all. He'd brought it up a few times on the way back down the mountain. It was kind of cute. "We're supposed to be meeting up with someone. Not really sure where, though... heh." Blake scratched the back of her head a little before standing. "It might not be as exciting as an autograph signing, but I'm pretty stoked," the magus joked with a grin.

Going about her day as usual, Hanae had woke up late and planned to laze about the offices until something eventful happened; luckily for her, she didn't have to wait long. The only sound that came upon her arrival was the light rustling of leaves as she landed in a sitting position on the branch of a large tree. "Yo!" she would shout towards the two strangers that caught her attention. Albeit nosy and probably annoying, Hanae found herself ignoring most forms of manners when it came to finding something to entertain herself with, and as it just so happened...these two looked more entertaining than being inside the office by herself. With a wide grin and wild eyes, Hanae looked over the two strangers with a look that exhumed someone who saw the world as her "play thing". First was the grumpy looking one..clearly annoyed at the world and dejected from any kind of society; he seemed like the kind of person that would be a stick in the mud if anyone tried to have some fun with him. The green haired woman however seemed to be the polar opposite; bright, sunny and positive to a fault, she seemed like the one that would be the most likely to take up her offer. "Wanna play a game?!" she shouted again, waving her hands toward the woman frantically. As news had yet to really escape this place yet, Hanae doubted they knew who she was; truthfully she preferred it that way.

Doubting she had much time before someone noticed herself missing and started freaking out, Hanae felt rushed and ready to go. Doubt i have long.. she complained to herself as she kicked herself off the brand and landed next to the two strangers. Her casual attire clearly not something staff nor student would wear among such a prestigious academy. "Common common!" she hurried the people into a response before anything was found to be amiss.

Blake's entrance to the courtyard was rather surprising, especially since she did not have a mob of photographers trying to snap whatever kind of picture they could get of her for their weekly newsletter. Honestly, just her willingness to ditch them was rather surprising to him. "You don't seem distressed. That means everything probably went well." He responded rather coolly, turning back to the fountain that he had been staring at until moments ago. "As for the school, I don't think it's progressive at all. It's just a place to make soldiers and weapons for people to eventually use. I thought it'd be something nice, back when I first heard about it, but after looking around on the internet and learning about this world... it's probably just going to be a breeding ground for weapons." Rowan commented, although their own nations were not quite different from this interpretation. "Most of the criticism is going to come from Carmillion though. The fact that this place seems like it'll treat Knights fairly is enough for them to start spouting off how terrible it is." Rowan commented with a rather sour tone to his voice. At least the students were going to be in a rather well-off place if any of them were to attend this school.

"The town around this place isn't too bad either. There's a lot of unique shops around that even we would probably want to try and go to." He commented as he turned back to Blake, obviously not feeling very enthusiastic about what the future of this school was going to be like. His normal personality had taken a few days to come back to him, but Rowan was now acting just as he always had, distant to most strangers and really only close to Lucy and Blake. Even then, he often went out on his own and spent his free time away from the rest of the household. "At least it's better than that autograph signing. There were way too many eager people there, yelling and trying to have fun. All of them were rather irritating." Rowan commented, remembering all the touchy people that had been around there that were shouting "love" at Blake and trying to get pictures with her and Natalia. Rowan was just lucky he could blend into the background enough that he did not have to deal with people like that.

"Oh yeah... I almost forgot." Rowan commented, pulling a cloak out from a bag inside of his coat. "I went back to that cave about a week ago. Those skeletons were apparently looking for this thing. I don't know why it was so important to them... but I figured it'd be best if you had it. You always seemed to want an Armament..." Rowan commented, looking to the side as he tried to hide the fact that he was being rather affectionate towards Blake right now. "Just don't get used to be doing things like this for you!" Rowan snapped at her, trying to bring the situation back to him being sort of a jerk most of the time. His attention was torn away from Blake, however, when someone seemed to be calling out towards her. He knew it was her because when he turned his head, the woman did not seem to be paying attention to him at all. Her question about playing a game directed towards Blake also made him feel as though this were the case. "Blake's busy, runt. Bother the lizard when she finally starts moving and gets here. She's used to entertaining children." Rowan commented, shaking his hand slightly and turning back to Blake. "Who are we supposed to be meeting, by the way?" He asked, remembering that Blake said they were waiting on someone.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ "Hmm, yeah. These guys aren't usually too bad. They give you space and don't really crowd. Well, I guess they're kinda vicious toward each other. Worst threat they are for me is when they try to trip me up with awkwardly worded questions," Blake explained. Reporters weren't normally too much of an issue. News crews and the like didn't seem so bad. What one really had to look out for was internet bloggers and forum posters, that sort of thing. Following rules didn't promise job security, so depending on the person, they sometimes did whatever they want. Being a fan and all is fine, but you can't just go up to people's houses and start asking questions. It's too weird and even creepy… No one will give you what you want if you make them feel uncomfortable. “Hey, now. Don't get like that. If that were the goal, then why not place it in Eldrin to begin with, right? Not that they’re all fire and brimstone, but you know what I mean.” If the goal was soldiers and weapons, why create a place that didn't show greater favor to their own military? There was already some there due to the planning and funding, but it's not like there was a more direct correlation. Blake’s mind was beginning to wander in this direction as Rowan continued on about the surrounding town.

His mention of hitting some of the shops got her to smile a little bit. Going to check the town out sounded like fun, at least to her. "Yeah, this area is pretty interesting. We should definitely check it out since we're here. It's not like we really get to go "sightseeing" very often. Ah, unless you count Japan." There were all sorts of places in that country. Compared to others of earth, it was relatively small, but there was still quite a bit to it. This was the first time since The Moment that Blake had been so far from Carmillion. That alone was pretty exciting. Unfortunately, that did feature another language barrier.] "Heheh, that last signing was a little hectic, I won't lie. Well... most signings are a little hectic. We've had worse." Blake was half-inclined about mentioning teleporting the guests around who got grabby. It's not like that was a worst-case-scenario, and there was really no excuse for those who felt so inclined to poke and prod at others. That sort of behavior was considered rude, Earth or Terra. Not like the half elf had a better solution to the situation, anyway. "I'm happy that I get to meet everyone, at those, though. Sometimes... this doesn't feel entirely real, you know? Seeing the crowds of people can get a little overwhelming, but it's a sort of... reminder," Blake explained, her eyes drifting up to her Knight's. She tilted her head, however, when something seemed to to come to Rowan's mind as he fished the cloak out.

It was only for a second, but the gesture stunned Blake into staring at the garment before tentatively taking it. An Armament...? It was indeed something she'd wanted for a long time, mostly to satisfy the nerd in her. Now that nerd was internally geeking out, wondering what kind of properties the cloak had, if putting it on now was a good idea, what its origins were.
The cloak was pretty, too. She couldn't help but wonder about a previous conversation when she noticed the color. On the other hand, there was an uncomfortably familiar look to it, the black and blue feathered look to it reminding her of a rather mischievous bird. At the same time, it was a gift from Rowan making it all the more important. Blake's expression melted into a warm smile, holding it close to her while Rowan got popped off something about not getting used to "things like this." "Heheh, of course not. I'd get spoiled," she replied, beaming. "Thank you, though, Rowan. So much..." She would have considered testing it out, but it was at that point that a voice called out to them, to her? Some girl with pink hair trying to get their attention and asking about a game. Why she was using trees to travel was also a little strange...

"Yeah. He's right. I'm sorry. It sounds fun, but my manager won't forgive me if I just up and disappear on her. Maybe some other time?" Not that she could see another time... While Blake wasn't sure that this girl was so young as to be considered a child as Rowan had referred to her, she couldn't have been too far below them in age. Could she? Either way, Natalia would flip is she came to find them only to see an empty courtyard. Actually, it could have been kind of funny. Would Nat even know what to do? "I dunno. I thought it would be fun to check out the school in depth and asked Nat to see if there was a member of the staff that could show us around. Unfortunately, I don't really know who it was she got ahold of..."[/size]

"Brat?"she echoed back to the man as she heard the word. "Whats that?" she replied, genuinely curious of the meaning of it. Being someone who was never spoken of in ill terms or insulted in any way, Hanae was someone who had little to no knowledge of how insults worked within the world. Pondering to herself for a moment about maybe starting the game without their permission, but when thinking of the scolding she would get from the staff and likely some of the higher ups...she figured it best not to just cause havoc; even though it was fun. Looking over the two as they spoke to each other, her legs would sway in a bored fashion as they hung from the branch; trying her best to give them time to talk before inevitable being rude again.

"Common...I don't have long till they notice I'm missing!" she shouted towards the lady and man, clearly impatient. Just as quickly as she had appeared before, she vanished again; only to appear only a few seconds later with a large jacket on and snow in her hair. "Chilly!" she laughed next to the two, acting as if in her own fun filled world. Hearing the two talk about Japan though and "sightseeing" got her attention back to them. "We can go anywhere! Where do you want to go?!" Hanae interjected, her eyes gleaming with wonderment. "Just not Carmillion, that place is rude and stinky" she finished, holding her nose in the process.

The sudden hustle and bustle of staff became evident among the school, as it seemed something had happened, or finally became noticed. "Crud." she sighed to herself, knowing she didn't have much longer before the reigns were tightened back onto her. "Anywhere you wanna go in the whole world!" she repeated herself quickly, in an attempt to push the situation more quickly. She had debated numerous times just leveling the place or warping it to another location, but as she had learned...people are mean and often do anything they can to control something they can't understand. Knowing that if she did any of those things, she'd likely be plastered as a criminal and have the lash back of those actions reflected onto her mother.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ What's a brat...? Is that really something someone can go through life without hearing once? Maybe... Everyone grows up different, I guess, but it's a little surprising, Blake thought to herself, pressing her index finger to her chin. She was still clutching the cloak in her arms. This girl was probably a student, if Blake had to guess. From the way she was talking and acting, it didn't sound as though she was up to much good. "Missing?" Blake repeated, a little curious. She could have been talking about some of the school staff, maybe her parents. So far she was making the impression that she was a... handful. The half elf felt somewhat bad for whoever was in charge of this girl. Before the magus could ask any questions, the young woman disappeared, reappearing only moments later covered in snow. Blake could only stare at the kid with a dumbfounded look on her face. It seemed almost too quick, but had that been magic...? If it was, then that was crazy fast. I figured she was Terran, but... It was hard to judge the age of the people from their world by their physical appearance. This girl could very likely have been older than the two of them depending on her race. Maybe she wasn't a student. Who was looking for her, though? She looked over to Rowan, hoping to gauge his thoughts.

"S-sorry," the half elf stuttered, waving one of her hands. "Like I said, I really can't-" At the girl's mention of Carmillion, however, a little twitch ran through her body. I don't smell! Blake wasn't exactly on good terms with the high council, but there was a difference between insulting them and the kingdom in which the fae girl had grown up. It was her home, after all. "Sorry. What exactly is wrong with Carmillion?" She moved her weight from one foot to the other when she asked the question. Was where they were from not obvious or was this kid just wholly unaware? As Blake was attempting not to stew over this girl's words, it seemed like something was going on, something this newcomer didn't want to get tangled up in. The energy seemed to put her on edge.

"That looks fun and all, but we're here for a reason. I can't go anywhere until I'm done here," she stated plainly. The same didn't seem true for their new... friend. Or rather, the same was too true. This was one part work one part fun, after all. They couldn't just run off and do whatever, especially with some stranger. Games like that were dangerous and likely to get elves in trouble with their dragon managers.

What an annoying brat. I really hate dealing with kids... Rowan thought to himself, sort of being contradictory since one of his most enjoyable past times was spending time with his sister. Lucy being unreasonable, however, was somehow cute whenever she acted that way. Someone he was unrelated to that looked old enough to know better, however, was far less adorable and more irritating to him. "This world is garbage no matter where you go. And we can go anywhere we want whenever we want anyway, so your offer's not very enticing." Rowan commented, frustrated by the woman's prodding at trying to get them to bend to her plans, whatever they may be. Whatever money we spend we almost always make back in a matter of a week or two. Sometimes in a day if we go out into the unexplored region. Rowan thought to himself as he sighed slightly, not really into arguing with whoever this was. Hearing something in the background, Rowan finally gathered that whatever this girl was trying to avoid was starting to unfold. "Looks like you're a bit late anyway."

Given this girl's childlike personality and ability to blink in and out of existence at will, Rowan decided to take extra precaution just in case she decided she would teleport them randomly without their consent on the matter. Thus, he made sure his body was ethereal so that, should anyone try to mess with his physical body, they would not be able to affect it at all since it was on another plane of existence. Turning his attention towards Blake, Rowan quickly answered her when she asked what was wrong with Carmillion. "Carmillion's a terrible place with rich, uppity people that belittle those that are different and view Knights as inferior beings. All of them are rich, scholarly types that think they can say or do whatever they want because they all feel entitled to their own opinion on whatever the subject is. I'm surprised that Carmillions can even stand each other or defend each other, because most creatures would have already destroyed themselves ages ago. I guess arrogance just appreciates arrogance." Rowan stated in a rather cold way, trash-talking Carmillion in a matter of seconds. After all, Rowan, too, disliked Carmillion to a great degree and had advocated they move to Eldrin instead.

"Living alone in a cabin in the woods would be more of a blessing than spending a week in Carmillion. The only reason it's tolerable now is because you can just ride a bullet train over to a much better place. Why do you think there's so many Knights roaming around Japan? It's not just coincidence. The same thing happened when people found out about Yuki too. There was a mass migration of Knights and people that were discontent with their lives in Carmillion. Now the place is like some rich, uppity neighborhood where it's a bloodbath between new and old money." Rowan commented, going into further detail about his beliefs in regards to Carmillion. "But I am very interested in your defense of Carmillion. Why do you like Carmillion, Blake? What about it seems so appealing?" Rowan began, trying to press questions at Blake as to why she favored the city at all. Her Knight had made himself rather vocal over the last year or so about his distaste for the place, so why did she enjoy being there so much?

Looking over the two for another moment, Hanae was somewhat perplex on the reactions of the two, especially the male. Casually walking around between the two as she listened to the two bicker like a married couple, she couldn't help but giggle like a child to some degree. "What?" she responded to the elven woman as she asked her to explain what was wrong with Carmillion. Like a soda bottle that had been shook up to much, mana poured from the girl as her face went to a frown. "It's full of rude, smelly people who only want to better themselves and care little about other people. Especially foreigners! Not to mention they are greedy and very upiddy on their high horses, as they can't even fathom the idea of a "child" being better than them at magic. she sighed, taking in a deep breath. "Not to mention they locked up my par-" her words cut off by her jerking her head to side, as if she just remembered something. "But yea, now im stuck here." her happy demeanor from before seeped away for something more sad as she squatted down to the ground, running her finger over the ground. After taking a moment to recollect herself she stood back up with her normal looking bored face back on. "Everything he says is probably true to." she chuckled. "I'd say I'm about out of time." she sighed again.

▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱▰▱ A sigh left Blake when Rowan spoke up to answer the question she had asked the pink-haired girl. Geez. I already know all that. I'm not a moron... Lately I've felt more at odds with others from my kingdom than I could have ever thought. Actually- No. No, no, no. Don't think like that. The half elf stopped herself from allowing her thoughts to continue. She'd been down that road too many times lately, and it usually only succeeded in depressing her. Things were starting to look up, and it wasn't as if she could complain much. "It's not like I'm defending anyone or disagree with you." After all, Blake was the first one that wanted to bring change to how things were socially in Carmillion, despite how futile. Rowan had once mentioned the possibility of her inclusion on the council in the case that the two of them showed further success. Even from a position like that, pushing against what’s seen to be the norm would be difficult. Now that there was a visible out, a lot of people had been taking that opportunity, Knights, namely. A good portion of those that were left over were, well, the problem. “It’s obviously littered with narcissism; that’s always been a problem. That doesn’t change the fact that it was and is my home.” The architecture’s pretty too, but I don’t think that’s what’s in question here… Whether it be due to obligation or obstinance, Blake couldn’t help but have some sort of connection to the place in which she grew up. On the other hand, she understood why others could have disdain for it.

At least, she understood why Rowan had disdain for it. The same could not be said for the little pink-haired one before them. The people around there had done him and Knights in general plenty of wrong. Blake hated that much on her own. Many had shown up at her own house running errands from some magus who thought they were high-class. Every once in a while, the necromancer was rather tempted to show up one or two of them. At least try. Success would only mean burning down another's inflated ego. That would, however, serve for very, very bad press. This girl seemed to have some... personal problems with the high council specifically, Blake tilting her head in curiosity when the young woman's voice trailed off. Unfortunately, she was quick to pick back up on the conversation, though not exactly where she'd left it. "You two sound like you have a lot in common," the fae joked with a glance toward her Knight. From the way the girl spoke, she seemed pretty confident in her magecraft. Between that and her little disappearing act, the young woman could very well have been quite talented. Maybe she wasn't attending the school, but something else...? "Stuck here, huh?" The green-haired woman had to keep her questions to that, wanting an elaboration, but drawing out this conversation felt like it would be bad in the long-run...

He was accustomed to the stone roads, the pavement, the cobblestone that sung under his hooves. The contact and the sound of hooves on the road leading to this place of learning wasn't too strange for him. What was strange was the feeling of this place. The feeling up ahead.

There was energy here. So much energy and magic being put to use. A portion and percentage of it was very wild magic, and some of it was very controlled. Of the two, this Minotaur from the plains was more concerned about the controlled and practiced magic that was behind the smaller number than the many that were beginning to congregate here.

He heard of a place where mages were going to be trained. Teachers were called for from across the world, and news managed to reach his ears. He pulled free of the herd. His plains were safe enough for travels like this.

Would a mage see fit to allow him to travel at their side? Would fate decide he should remain an independent knight and warrior?

A heavy breath spilled from his large lungs. Urging himself further, he tightened the belt about his waist, ensured that his weapon was at his side, and then he continued into the courtyard.

Poor man had no idea where he was going. He assumed forward was the best way to go. There were large doors.

When he walked into the main courtyard he was greeted by a lovely scenery that he didn't give two shits about. There were quite a few conversing or wandering around though. Three seemed to be standing in a group talking. They weren't all that interesting. One looked like a human with long brown hair and a serious look etched onto his face. He'd be fun to rile up. Another had long hair with ears that could poke someone's eye out: she was cute. The final one was short with pink hair and something on her head? Was it a headband or little red horns? She looked deceptively innocent, but he had a feeling that there was something different about her. Why? Maybe because he might be what one would call a wolf in sheep's clothing--not that he'd agree with that. Pavel was always true to himself. Still, there have been people that freaked out when he apparently did a one-eighty on them. It's not his fault they saw what they wanted to see.

It didn't take long for his eyes to rest on a giant furry humanoid. Pavel stopped in his tracks as he looked the being over. Was he some kind of bull man? As more questions invaded his brain he made his way over to the mysterious beast. "Hey!" He greeted as he slapped his a**. It was the closest thing he could reach. Pavel looked up at the bullish being that had to have been at least three feet taller than him. "Who're you? You a furry?" He chuckled at his own question before he asked another. "Where you from?" There was a slight pause before he decided to introduce himself whether the question was asked by that point or not. "They call me Pavel. I hail from these parts. Never thought they'd put a magic school nearby." That might not have been entirely true, but who cares about the details.

Pavel switched from talking about themselves to something more related to the school. "Did you come to learn magic? That's why I'm here~" He said the last bit in a slightly excited singsong type of tone. A smile spread across his face. "I've never met someone like you before." It was said absently after there was plenty of time for the other to respond to everything else. His light brown eyes raked over the one in front of him in such an obvious way after he spoke. One side of his mouth curled up into a half smile. He was intrigued and anyone could tell just by taking a look into his eyes.

Those who grew up on a ranch or who knew much about powerful animals knew better than to approach a ton and a half pound bull and strike it in the hindquarters. Fortunately for the excitable young man, this bull wasn't in a mood to turn and guard on land that wasn't his territory. He was in strange land, at the moment, and he doubted he would leave a good impression if he rushed to aggression just because a stranger touched him.

... Looked like a child, if he compared their heights. He lifted his right arm and measured the height of the humanoid person. The innocent look that told him the lad had little brutal experience. It was a sheltered life, or a kind of life that hadn't been out in the fields, fighting off beasts, or defending the home.

He was also a young man that spoke quite a lot.

Now, the minotaur didn't consider himself one for words, but he did consider his ears useful and keen. He knew he had a furry pelt, but because that was obvious, he was puzzled by the question. If he had fur, then he was was furry. He decided that the little humanoid spoke too much.

"Bador." He answered. His deep voice was almost a low grumble, deep in his chest. When he turned, his weight was heard through the hooves and on the ground he stood on. He tried to keep his steps gentle, because anything underneath him and the stone roads would certainly be crushed.

"Where there are students, there must be powerful teachers. I came to be useful." His right ear twitched, mindlessly shooing away a wayward fly.

There wasn't much reaction. Whether his tap on the bum bothered the other or not was uncertain. It didn't matter since it probably meant that he'd have to do a lot more to get an interesting reaction out of this behemoth. Something like that wasn't his goal at the moment. A slightly playful dissatisfied smile appeared on his features when the bull-man appeared to measure him--literally. "Rude!" He accused in a jokingly upset tone as he pressed a forearm against the offending hand. He meant to push it away from him, but Pavel didn't put much effort into it.

This furry being probably didn't think he was a threat. Why would he? Not only did he look younger than he was, but some thought his actions were childish. He's been told that to his face after all. Pavel was also hiding any weapons from sight. Weapons that were coated with blood at some point. He wasn't stupid though. He knew that this being probably had more real hardcore fighting experience, but anyone that immediately put him in the innocent category gave him an advantage when he might have had none. It was great. Currently, he didn't know what Bador thought of him--and he didn't care.

A smile spread across his face when he heard the deep rumble come from the other when he introduced himself. "Bador..." he repeated while in thought. "I like it!" He decided after a moment. "You aren't much of a talker are ya?" He stated even though it was posed as a question. It was more an observation than anything. After all, he didn't bother to ask any questions or answer all of the ones he asked. Did that bother him? No. He'd just have to get information out of him in a slower manner. Would he be patient enough for that? Probably not. Regardless, asking questions nonstop didn't seem to be the way to go and his interest waned with the lack of response.

His reasoning for being at the school made sense--especially the part about students and teachers. Pavel didn't really know what he meant about being useful. "Like a protector? Are ya tryin' to work security?" He paused in thought wondering if they would call it that. "You here to guard them...like a knight?" It was when he reworded his question and mentioned a knight that something clicked. "Or are ya a knight lookin' for a mage?" The next bit was said more to himself even though it could definitely be heard. "I forgot knights and mages needed to link together." A light chuckle escaped him as he glanced around. It took him less than a second to turn the needed bond into something perverted within his own mind. It's not like he knew much about it in general. Why not let his imagination do its thing?
