There really isn't much to do here at the Beachfront other than to relax with your Pokémon. But if you're feeling up to it, you can take your Pokémon out for a swim and swim over to Melemele Sea and explore over in that area.

Mackenzie walked along the beachfront, a smile on her face as she felt the sand between her toes. Ahh, she loved the beach and the ones here were especially beautiful. Glancing around, she noticed a few people with their Pokémon and it made her smile even more as she watched how much the trainers interacted with them. Coming to this region had been a great idea, it was going to be a good way for her to learn about so many new Pokémon. Her own Espeon was perched on her shoulders, her tail swaying a little as she stared at everybody else, a bored look on her face. "Come on Luna, we're at the beach try and at least look a little interested." She chuckled as she turned her head and kissed Luna's cheek. "Espeon." Luna meowed before giving a large yawn and closing her eyes. Mackenzie just sighed a little and shook her head a bit. "Well at least Fang is excited. Right Fang... Fang?" That was when Mackenzie noticed the Arcanine wasn't next to her anymore. "Fang where did you go?" She called out. "Fang!" She called again before she let out a loud shriek as she was suddenly tackled from the side. "Espeon!" Luna hissed as she went flying and landed in a small puddle of water. Leaping out of the water, her ears fell back in annoyance as she shook her feet to try and get off the sand that was now stuck to them. Meanwhile Arcanine had Mackenzie pinned as he licked her face. "Fang. Get off." Mackenzie said between laughs, but her laughing only made Fang lick her more. While Fang was distracted, Luna would glare at the other Pokémon before lowering her head. Getting a good footing in the sand, the Espeon would then sprint at him before hitting him with Tackle and since the Arcanine wasn't expecting it, he was quickly knocked over. Growling, the two Pokémon glared at each other before Fang stood up. Right away Mackenzie knew he would use Flamethrower on Luna. "Fang don't you dare!" She said, causing the Pokémon to lower his head. Mackenzie wasn't about to have another dress accidentally set on fire. Luna was going to Tackle him again, but Mackenzie picked her up and held onto her tightly. "Why can't you two just get along." Mackenzie sighed, not having realize that the trio probably caused enough of a commotion to get attention drawn to them.

Cody was sitting on a beach chair, he had just gotten off the ferry from Heahea city from the other island. He sighed and was happy to be off the boat and came by the beach to let out whimpod, "Come on out Courage." he said but the little bug water type pokemon came out and looked around. It had been some time since it had been on a beach or shoreline rocks since Cody caught him but Cody wanted the pokemon to be the first to enjoy the beach. It burrowed in the sand slightly before noticing some people over by the stairs but as it scurried closer slightly, a large paw stepped on it and pushed it into the sand. Courage struggled slightly as it shook off the sand but looked at the arcanine that had stepped on it. It hadn't seen one of those pokemon before, so it didn't close but Cody walked over. Cody smiled, "You alright buddy?" He asked kindly before noticing that she was having issues with her two pokemon.
Cody walked over with Whimpod following behind him as he looked at her, "Excuse me Miss, you having any trouble?" He asked curiously to her, "I would be careful with your arcanine... its a bit big for the beach, it stepped on my Whimpod here... no harm done but a pokemon that large might get some other trouble started." he said but then realized he was being a critic, "Sorry, its none of my business, I just felt it was best to say, pokemon run around town anyway but everyone has to be careful of the little ones." He said looking at Courage before back at her, "My names Cody, whats yours?" he asked curiously to her.

Mackenzie held onto Luna and brushed the sand off her Paws while Arcanine stood there, though with someone approached the three of them, his ears perked forward and he let out a bark, causing both Mackenzie and Luna to jump. Luna looked at Fang and narrowed her eyes a little before her ear twitched as she too noticed the stranger. Staring at him, she jumped out of Mackenzie's arms and hid behind the girl, giving the stranger a judgemental look. Luna didn't do well with strangers. Arcanine on the other hand was excited but cautious about the stranger. Turning to look at the boy that approached her, Mackenzie quickly shook her head. "No. We're fine now. Right Luna." She said as she looked down at the Espeon, who just stared up at her. "Espeon." Luna replied. Mackenzie then turned to the stranger again and tilted her head a little before her face fell slightly as he explained that Fang had stepped on his Wimpod. "Oh no. I'm so sorry! He's usually better than this but this is his first time on the beach so he got excited. Is your Pokémon alright." She asked with extreme concern. "Fang apologize!" The Arcanine looked at his trainer before he whined a little and got on his belly on the sand. Belly-crawling over to the Wimpod he had stepped on the Arcanine, sniffed at him and touched his nose to him to apologize. Looking at the male again, Mackenzie smiled a little. "I'm Mackenzie... and again... I'm sorry for Fang stepping on your Wimpod." She really did feel terrible about it. She should have been paying closer attention to him.

Cody saw that she seemed jumpy when her own arcanine barked but he watched as this girl's Espeon had jumped down before hiding behind her. He smiled gently but as she apologized, he saw that she sternly told her pokemon to apologize. Cody watched as the large canine like pokemon crawl up to Whimpod and sniffed it, which made the little bug pokemon a bit nervous. It was normally calm due to its nature but it was easily nervous, which it began to bury itself in the sand, kicking some up onto arcanine's snout but not hard enough to get it in the pokemon's eyes. Cody laughed a bit, "Haha, Whimpod just used a small sand-attack." he joked but smiled, "Its fine, thats normal for whimpod, they are naturally nervous around big pokemon." He explained but smiled, "I gotta say, I have always read about Arcanine but this is my first time up close." He said interested as he looked at the pokemon, "You must not be from Alola huh, well then Alola and welcome." he said as he smiled, "Here, to greet someone, you wave to them and say, 'Alola!' and it also means goodbye but either way." He said as he smiled.

Fang whined a little as he stared at the smaller Pokemon before he sneezed loudly and backed up a bit as sand got into his nose. Staring at the sand with a confused look he then looked back at Mackenzie, who was giggling a little bit. "Fang can never seem to realize that he isn't a little Growlithe any more." She said, shaking her head a little as she remembered all the times the huge Arcanine tried to sit in her lap. "None of us have ever met a Wimpod before." She added before she smiled just a bit. "He looks intimidating to most, but he's more of a lover than a fighter." She said as she looked over at Fang as he sat down next to her, casting a shadow over her and Luna, then again he could probably be a fierce fighter if Mackenzie participated in battles. Mackenzie then shook her head. "No we're from Kanto region." She said before looking at him curiously. "Alola" She said softly before looking at Cody again. It means hello and goodbye? How interesting. As the two were speaking, Luna had stepped between Mackenzie's legs and was staring up at the stranger, her ears twitching a bit. "Oh!" She said as she picked the Espeon up. "You've met Fang and this is Luna. She doesn't really like strangers though." She said as the Espeon climbed onto her shoulders, her gaze not once leaving Cody. She has always been weary of new people even back when she was just an Eevee.

Cody looked at her when she spoke, he nodded as he smiled, seeing that Whimpod soon came back out of the sand and came back to Cody's side. He lightly laughed, "Yeah, well its one thing for a pokemon to change and evolve but they generally act the same." he said happily as he smiled to the arcanine but then noticed that she showed off Luna but he smiled to the Espeon, "Hey there Luna, its a pleasure to meet you. Would you like a berry?" he asked pulling out a Oran berry from his bag, "Would you like to meet my other pokemon, Courage, my whimpod, isn't my only pokemon." He said kindly holding his palm with the berry close to the espeon allowing the pokemon to choose if it wants the berry or not. He was also curious if Mackenzie would want to meet his other pokemon as well, "How many alolan pokemon have you seen yet?" He asked curiously to her.

Mackenzie noticed that the Wimpod came out of hiding and smiled a bit before she looked at Cody again. "Yeah, that's very true." She replied before she glanced at Luna, watching as the Espeon's tail flickered a bit. "Espeon?" She said curiously before her ears twitched and she sniffed at the berry curiously before carefully taking it from him, licking her lips. Mackenzie smiled as she was happy that the Espeon actually took the treat from him. Fang stared at him before he gave a small grunt. He wanted treats too! Staring at Cody, he flattened his ears back a little and lowered his head slightly, hoping to look cute enough to get a treat too. Meanwhile Mackenzie was looking at Cody before she gave a small smile. "Oh! I would love to meet your other Pokemon!" She said happily. "So far I've only gotten to see a Primarina and I must say they are very beautiful Pokemon."

Cody was happy when Luna took the berry, it was a positive sign if anything but when Fang grunted a bit, he laughed and got another berry out. He held it for Fang to see before gently tossing it to the large canine expecting that the pokemon could catch it midair with how skilled it seemed. He then nodded to her, "Alright then, I have four pokemon, Courage is one..." He couldn't finish before their was a flash from his belt as Oliver, his Rowlet appeared on his shoulder and he smiled, "How many times did I tell you not to do that?" He asked as the Rowlet let out a little call, fixing its bow on its chin. Cody smiled, "This Rowlet here is Oliver." He said before he got out two more pokeballs. The first he called out was a Metang, "This isn't an Alolan pokemon but beldum was my first pokemon friend, and I took it with me. This here is Metang." He introduced which Metang wasn't all that big but it was almost even with Arcanine, which once evolved, Metagross would be bigger than the canine pokemon. The last pokemon was Salandit, which the fire/poison type pokemon was happy to be on the beach, it went and found a sunny spot to lay out, "And thats Blaire, a Salandit." he introduced.

Fang's ears perked up and he stood, easily catching the berry when it was tossed towards him. Licking his lips, the Arcanine seemed content and happy while Luna seemed to be annoyed that Cody gave Arcanine a berry too. Mackenzie was looking at Cody before she gave an excited smile. "Four Pokemon. Wow!" She said. She could probably never have four Pokemon, Luna was super jealous with just having one other around, Mackenzie could only imagine what kind of trouble the Espeon and Arcanine would cause if Mackenzie had to split her love and attention between four Pokemon rather than just the two. The girl then stepped back a little bit as there was suddenly a Pokemon on Cody's shoulder. When she shook off being startled, she then looked at the Pokemon and tilted her head a little. "Hello Oliver." She said to the Rowlet. He was a rather cute looking Pokemon, she just wanted to hug him. The girl then looked at the Pokeballs Cody pulled out, watching curiously, she then looked at the Metang and smiled a little. She had seen one of those before during one of her times when she would sit in front of the Pokecenter and watched all the trainers come in with their Pokemon. Mackenzie then looked at Cody's last Pokemon, giggling a little as it crawled over to go lay in the sand. "All your Pokemon are really cool." Mackenzie said as she smiled over at Cody. Fang and Luna were also looking at the other Pokemon, Fang looking the most curious while Luna just glanced at them before she got bored with them and laid her head on her paws.

Cody could see that she was really interested in his pokemon but he thought about something, she only had two pokemon and had come all this way and was fascinated with how he had four, "Thank you, Luna and Fang are awesome looking, although Luna seems a bit bored." He joked but thought it over, "Just to ask, you have two pokemon but Luna doesn't seem like a battling type... are you a trainer perhaps?" He asked wondering what Mackenzie was doing here if she didn't plan on taking on the Island trials. He was a bit curious about this girl, she came all the way from Kanto, unless she was on vacation, it seemed strange for someone to come out this far without a reason and he hoped that by asking he wasn't proding too much into her personal reasons.
As he had asked her that, Oliver had flapped over to Fang's head and perked upon it, looking down at Fang's snout curiously, having not seen a large fire type like him before. Metang had just hovered to the side with Courage finding shelter in the shade under the steel pokemon. Blaire was still laying out in the sand, enjoying the heat of the sun.

Mackenze smiled proudly as Cody said her Pokemon looked awesome. "Thank you." She said before she tilted her head a little. Luna seemed bored?No, she was probably just tired after the long trip to the island and after her little fight with Fang it was normal for her to be sleeping. Looking at the sleeping Espeon on her shoulders, she reached her hand up and scratched behind her ears. "Espeon." Luna purred happily. Mackenzie then looked over at Cody. "When I got her as an Eevee two years ago we did a few battles with the other kids from my town, but Luna's always been a bit stubborn. It got even worse when I rescued Fang. She would always pick on him so much until he evolved into Arcanine and was bigger than her" Luna had been mad that the Growlithe was tagging along with them. She was so mad that she straight out ignored Mackenzie for a week. "But really I'm not a big fan of battling my Pokemon. I enjoy watching others battle, but my dream is to be a Pokemon Watcher." She said with a bit of a smile. "I want to see as many, and learn as much about, Pokemon as I can."
Meanwhile, Fang got a super confused look on his face when the Rowlet landed on his head. Trying to look up at Oliver, the Arcanine's ears twitched a little bit. He had seen flying Pokemon before, but this Rowlett almost looked like a ball that he could play with. Of course he knew that the other Pokemon wasn't a ball.

Cody listened to what she had to say, he lightly nodded as she explained why Luna was how she was but it made sense. He thought it over as he looked at Fang who was occupied by Oliver on top of his head. Cody then heard what she said but he looked at her, "A pokemon watcher huh... well there are a few places here that would be a great place to see if you want to see some alolan pokemon, I can show you... and I would recommend taking up drawing or photography, helps keep memories of your travels better than having something to look at. Either that or keeping a journal, which either way, I can show you were the tourist building is, you could probably find something to record your journey with." He offered kindly as he figured that he could easily give her a nice trip around the town to show her around, it felt like the friendly thing to do since she was visiting.
Oliver looked down at Fang tilting his head but flew off and landed on a nearby chair, its back turned to all of them before turning its head 180 degrees and looked at Fang. Its body soon turned so it was straight but Rowlets could turn their heads around to look behind them and it was curious of the Arcanine but wasn't as relaxed as it normally was.

The teen looked at Cody before she nodded her head a little bit. "Yeah." She loved Pokemon and wanted to learn more about them so she might be able to help them in the future. "Oh really. I would love that so very much!" She said excitedly when he spoke of being able to show her places where she could find Alolan Pokemon. Looking at him again, a smile appeared on her face. "Actually." She said before she reached into her bag and pulled out a pink Journal and opened it to the first page, which had a detailed and intricate drawing of a Charmander along with bullets of information. "I do have a journal... Multiple journals actually. I need to find something that I can put all my information in though so I don't have to carry so much. And I've been drawing Pokemon Since I was a toddler. Of course back then I wasn't very good." She chuckled a little. "Though I would still be very interested in seeing the tourist building." She said with a kind smile.
Arcanine went cross-eyed as he stared up at the Rowlet before tilting his head to the side a little as he watched the other Pokemon fly over to the chair. The large Pokemon's eyes would then go wide and he almost fell over when Rowlet's head turned 180 degrees. The Arcanine stood up and curiously stared at the Pokemon, his head tilting to the side and his tail wagging.

Cody was glad that she was the kind of person to want to learn about pokemon and could see that she was happy to accept his offer to show her to the tourist building as well as him showing her some places to see pokemon. When she seemed to have a smile as she dug through her bag, he looked at her journal and nodded, "Oh well than I would like to ask if I would be able to see those drawings sometime." He said as he smiled, "Well I will show you where the tourist building is, and then maybe we can get some Malasadas. They are a baked bread like pastry that has a filling that could be sweet, sour... based on what kind of ingredients are used to make it but its a popular treat here in Alola for both humans and pokemon." he explained kindly to her. He soon thought it over, seeing that Arcanine and Rowlet were interacting with each other but he got his pokeballs out and began to recall his pokemon for them to head into town.
