Nice to know. For the Starro event, I'll have Jinx on the run ... while also trying to avoid Starro 'starfish people zombies' as she'll probably refer to them. I take it Starro will be appearing in all threads? ... I'll probably have her just arrive in Gotham, since she's running from 'old friends'.
And for the Starro event, should I wait to post?

Right now the only thread up that it would possibly influence is "A Night Out" (Arrow RP) but feel free to start one up alongside present day, and or make an appearance of some kind in Zero Year. It covers basically the world in the one thread. Superman will be bringing up the next thread soon for people to continue on. Most, if not all, people have a place in this event concerning Starro, though most are not "active" heroes/villains yet.

Well the HIVE is after her. Now while my character is based on the Teen Titans cartoon version, her and the HIVE and Brother Blood should be able to fit in well. I figure with Spartan's and GA's contacts, they'll know when the HIVE arrives looking for Jinx. By the same token, Black Canary would find out too.
I can't really RUN the HIVE and Brother Blood, because that would feel.... like I'm playing by myself. If you need references, I can point you to the right wikis. HIVE is kinda like a mercenary version of the League of Shadows. And the version of Brother Blood I'm familiar is a mentalist with a cult of personality. Very much like a Jim Jones, David Koresh, or Charles Manson. That kind of dominating personality.

Skuld HJG By the same token, Black Canary would find out too. Like how this would fit Dinah into it. Let's see how this(court case with Ted Grant) unravels as soon as we get the 'case' suited out between Ollie/Diggle & Dinah before things go down though to avoid any possible confusion.

Hey, have a wacky, crazy idea: so that one can have the 'villain of the week', could we set up a temporary list of villains or heroes that people can 'rent' for an adventure or two? This way, someone could help run a nemesis for another player. And then when the story arc is finished, the temp character is 'returned to the toy chest' for anyone else to use. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think? Good idea, I respect your initiative! Sometimes it's a little harder to implement such ideas. If you mean assume control of that character yourself for the story (I'm gathering this from "someone could help run a nemesis") it may result in that character being mishandled and it'll change from a role-play into the likes of a fan-fiction story (I guess that's it pretty loosely explained). For example, if I took control of The Flash for a while, it would only really be me making the post and finishing it, and I don't think this is a guild where we make write fan-fiction, rather we act it out with each other with our respective characters. There is also continuity with the characters regardless, each and every person so far who has posted as themselves have distinctly acted out that character - it's going to be a little hard to get everyone on board to regress from that and lose that control of their character. Again, I really appreciate the initiative here - don't think of this as your idea being shot down, rather think of it as an opportunity to maybe reflect and improve on it, or move onto another. It's good to see someone so interested in this guild!

It's good to see someone so interested in this guild! Well, I was meaning someone ELSE temporally taking up the mantle of someone's nemesis. For example, Let's say our friends in Star City have their heroes RPing away (I'm just using that as an example, because I introduced Jinx there), and no villain is in play for them to play against. Maybe someone like me temporarily takes up the mantle to play Prometheus for the heroes to face. This villain would be driving the 'story arc' that the heroes would be opposing. With any villain, they are driven by powerful needs and powerful wants. I know you understand what I'm referring to. Hopefully my idea might help spark others in putting on the black hat to help drive the action. Now in Jinx's instance, she has to worry about Brother Blood and the HIVE. I myself do not wish to run any of these villains -- like you say it would be like writing a fanfic. If someone could play Brother Blood or one of the noted HIVE members looking for Jinx, that would give me someone to play against. That's what I'm hoping for.

So around here, maybe a better way to put it would be 'NPC Playing' or like you said progressing the story. We will and have done this often mostly in our Marvel guild. Biggest dilemma currently really is villains as most people tend to flock towards the heroes. While that's good, we can't seem to get anything different out of Gotham Rogues (which we are currently pushing against). Very few people could take up such roles unless given the right sources and or material. As of a few days ago, we've been really pushing to recruit people to take in villains, no longer accepting Original Characters and currently barely any heroes unless we can fill a decent "Super Seven" (Currently standing at five). If you know people who might be interested in doing such roles that would give us another few villains, send them our way if they'd like to be apart of this.
