Relatively young Neko colony on the outskirts of Neko space. Wanting a little freedom from the Council's heavier taxes upon trade to make up for their shortcomings post war efforts. As such the Council is a little hesitant and a tad far to send troops to protect form the occasional raiders.
Speaking of which, Tara'Shu is under attack by human raiders. Only the local Nekomian empire forces, volunteers, and hired on mercenaries are in time to respond.

The dropship shook hard, two of the neko and one of the mercenaries had died in the impact. Human Missiles were a pain for neko ships to dodge seeing how fast and manuverable they were. Neko Ships, especially their dropships had their worst fears realized when human missiles streaked through the air.Tenchu
"Well s**t...." Her eyes focused to shake the vibrations out of her implants. This was not her first combat scene, but it was so far the one with the lowest chance of survival. They guy she was standing right next to got his spleen splattered over the other wall. She may not have been panicking, but that was mostly because she did not place all that much value on her own life.
"hrmm... Whats down there?... I dont suppose we will be crashing somewhere ... you know... safe?"

The black-haired Neko growled a bit as he quickly got into his Exo-suit. His bay's door had locked him inside once the missiles hit. "What idiot designed this ******** system?" he asked aggressively as his suit closed in around him. His visor lit up with its usual head and he smiled a little. Something about the familiar red-orange glow of his display made him feel a little better.
"Well I don't plan on dying..." He spoke as the custom linear cannon flipped from his back to over his left shoulder. It charged briefly before unloading a concentrated shot that tore the blast door apart, which he quickly leaped through. He looked around a bit, trying to see if anyone else had vitals around him. "I'm gonna really hate if I'm the only one still breathing..."

"Well s**t...." "Oh hey... you got guns... mind making a hole just about here?"
Tenchu patted the burning metal hull that had just taken a harsh strike from the missile.
"We will be better off bailing anyway...and you.... parachutes are standard issue in those thing's gadgets aint they?"
She was not much taller than the Neko and just a little shorter while he was in the tech knight armor.
"What do I have to do to get a ride down with you?"
The pilot let out a shriek as the craft banked left harshly and another alarm went off signaling that there was another missile inbound.

"I'll show you that I'm not just bad luck!"
His black ears twitched a bit inside his helmet as he looked at who had spoken to him. "Parachutes..." he shook his head. "Mine was removed to allow a heavier power core and a specialized boost system..." The two twin, magnet-driven boost jets moved a bit at his command to show them. "Stay alive, and I'll be more than happy to carry you out of here though..." He wrapped his right hand around the Monarch and leveled is linear cannon at the wall.
Firing it tore the already weakened hull apart like tin scraps and he leapt out into the open air. The jets on his back and in the bottom of his boots allowing him to take them to the ground easily enough, though once he landed his core alerted him that it was overdrawn. He quickly let the cannon fold back over his shoulder to its resting place on his back and instead drew the heavy battle rifle from the other side, looking around to make sure they were safe.

"Well s**t...." "Ah...I survive another few minutes..."
She watched as the craft they just vacated was struck by the missile and vanished in a ball of flame and smoke.
".... Well... s**t..."
She gestured to the horizon where an atmospheric "party" barge was making its way to them. Essentially just a human Frigate refitted to fly in atmospheric conditions.
"...We have about ten minutes until that thing is overhead... wanna try and run?... there are some .... um.. WHERE some buildings over there, sure they will hide us from view...and who the hell is going to come after two life signs?"

He watched the Frigate and growled a bit. He quickly grabbed the Monarch again and engaged his boost as a glide along the ground. "Considering one of us is using a Mech to move around... I'm guessing their not going to ignore us..." He gritted his teeth a bit and sighed in irritation. "Damned humans... They're gonna come after us and I've barely got enough energy for us to run... let alone fire my cannon..."
He looked at the woman he was carrying, his visor clearing up a bit so she could see his face. "Any bright ideas, White-Hair? If I can't make it to those buildings then we better have some kind of plan B."

"Well s**t...." ".... well, I am not entirely apposed to just fighting them... I may not be an AMAZING soldier... but I'm not as worthless as a human..."
She smiled a little, She was so used to people treating her like she could not walk or being too polite. This man, even though he was a neko was rude and brash. She quite enjoyed it. Even if he was still lugging her around.
"There!"
Her power swept over the area to find a small divot in the landscape.
"We can use that for at least some mild cover... and its far enough away from the obvious path... if the frigate doesn't pass over us the worst we will get is a few handfuls of soldiers to kill..."

"I've got a feeling that'll be our best bet entirely then..." Daishu stated as he started to head that way. His core started to alert that it might not hold up using his boost much longer, but he just pushed it harder. He had to get them out of site before they were noticed.
After a few moments, he brought them to a skidding stop. His core giving him a final notice about its energy reserve. "Damn it... Well.. we should be safe enough for it to recover..." he said as he let the woman down finally. He watched the area vigilantly, not wanting to be caught by surprise. He was just glad his rifle didn't require energy from his suit like the cannon or boosters.

"Well s**t...." "200 yards and closing fast, human dropship.... you gonna be ok?...that was a lot of fuel you just used..."
She calmly shouldered her rifle and clicked the range extender into place.
"See if you can clip the wings on that sucker...Ill try and melt through the windshield with some hits... Im not the best at sniping but those bug ugly human ships are easy to hit."
She sighed clicking the rifle trying to zero out the scope.

A small smirk curled across the male's lips as he hit tapped the select fire on his weapon to set fire the rounds with a specialty discharge that would make the rounds function as small grenades. "I could hardly consider myself a skilled tech knight if I couldn't take out one of those flying barges." He rushed out of cover, needing to close the distance a bit for his weapon to be effective. Once he figured he was close enough, he used a little boost and the exo-suits support muscle to launch himself in the air. He leveled his rifle once he was eye level with the cockpit and pulled the trigger, unloading the lmg into it. Every round tore at the armor of the ship as he dragged his aim to each vital point of the ship his visor pointed out. The neko grinned as he finally released the trigger and allowed himself to hit the ground. Explosion after explosion lit up the ship as its fuel and engine systems malfunction from all the damage and the neko's smirk widened a bit. "Looks like all we have left now are these filthy mud-stompers..." he looked towards the advancing men and chuckled.

"Well s**t...." Doing her best to help out, heavy plasma to parts of the ship that the neko tech could NOT penetrate she waited until the ship crashed into the ground. Cursing the lack of a large fireball she swatted the side of her rifle reducing the length of the barrel and the zoom on the scope.
"Oh goodie... now we just kill everything that pops out."
She focused waiting for a human to crawl out of the back of the heavy steel vessel before she popped hims head like a ripe tomato. Though soon the others burst out, most in heavy armor.

"To be honest... I think you hurt that thing more than I did." He tapped his receiver again on his weapon, setting his weapon back to the way it was. "Keep these monkeys off me for a sec..." He knelt down so as to make the most of his suits armor as he dropped his magazine and reloaded the weapon with Armor-piercing. He wasn't going to waste time with these humans.
Once he was loaded he stood and opened fire, watching as the stacked steel rounds ripped through what they hit. "Guess that it was pointless to try and modify the firing system... my light rounds still can't do this much damage to anything..." He watched as one round ripped entirely through a soldiers neck plating, separating helm from torso mercilessly.

"Oh shush... Neko weapons are awesome... and you can ask for nothing better when facing a lightly armored target...These plasma rounds hit hard but they kinda suck against light armor... or cover..."
She sighed picking her targets carefully. Aiming to take the soldiers that would be more difficult with Neko Tech.
The last of the human soldiers fell just as the first of the scouts that had originally been heading their way began to advance into range.
"Snipers... just don't stand still.. they cant get an accurate shot into the kinks of your armor."

Daishu growled a bit as she informed him of the snipers, a round cracking through the air by his helmet. He quickly started to run, making a zig-zag pattern towards them. He had to get within moderate range or his gunfire just wouldn't do more than suppress them. He quickly dove behind some stone cover and sighed a bit.
"I really hope this doesn't go on much longer..." He pulled a grenade from a pouch and pitched it at the scouts like a baseball before speaking again. "The more time we have to fight them the more its going to bite into what little ammo we're carrying... Not to mention the chance of that larger ship tracking us down...."
