He's attentive and listens well as long as you're the only thing he's focused on. Often times he loses sight of people and wrecks relationships because he favors his research above almost all else. He's a cronic multitasker and has several experiments going on at once, no one is quite sure how he keeps everything in order. He's seems older than he is, wise and kind like a town elder. He cares for Celene and what few friends he has in a gentle way. He's really just a young man when you catch him unawares, forced to fit into a grown-up position. Mason can be scary when he's mad; he never raises his voice, he just wears a blank face and treats you like you're a disappointment to him. When he smiles though, he can light up a room. He flits about the place like a humming bird when he's excited and might even twirl a bit with the closest person to him. In short, Mason is a dork who doesn't know how to balance people and science, tends to work too hard, makes you feel bad when he's angry, but is really a sweetheart when it comes down to it.History: Mason grew up in an artistic household; his father was an architect and his mother a freelance artist. The walls were covered in building plans, sketches, paintings, and drawings done by his parents, his mother even had a few sculptures hanging around the place. Mason felt inadequate though, because he could never match their skill no matter how hard he tried. Then he found his grandfather's old telescope and old journals. His father told him stories about his grandfather and how he used to study the stars for hints of what was to happen on the planet. This was Mason's first introduction to astrology; he pursued it, but it wasn't quite what he wanted and so he turned to astronomy. Around the time that Mason was ten his parents were killed in an accident at his father's latest building site--the structure wasn't stable and the building crew took shortcuts, it lead to many deaths and hefty settlements. He inherited the house and fell into seclusion. Using the books in his library he was able to study a wide variety of subjects, but focused on health care of both animals and people. It's through sheer boredom he attains his PhDs. One night while Mason was wallowing around the house he happened to peer through the telescope. He stared at it for what seemed like hours, it should have been in it's next phase, but instead stayed in the past for twelve hours; Mason recorded it all in a small leather-bound journal. A short time later, while researching the cause of the occurrence, Mason meets Doctor Kavortaine... Post color: dark orange
