Lord Redtail Rathan Captain

A large room shaped like a large rectangle with rounded corners. The floor is covered with rich red carpet with a curved bar that takes up the starboard side.
The walls look like they're made from real wood, of a lighter auburn shade, while the two doors are normal sliding portals of uncovered metal. There are also two heavy four footed rectangular tables the color of the bar.
The center floor is empty, though folding tables and chairs can be found in lockers along the sides.

Amarissa Amarissa had originally planned to go to her room, but found herself instead in a different room, admiring it's beauty amongst all the sterile areas of the ship. The wood was natural, but she couldn't help but wish for the stars. So close to them, but nowhere close to them at the same time. She sat, playing around with the pad, seeing what it could do. She had already found a lot of shortcuts while using it.

Ral-Zarrek decided to stop by the recreational lounge, he had been living the life of a janitor for two days now. It was an honest day's work and a very low profile position, he had already noticed less attention simply by bringing a mop and bucket. It was hard to hide on a ship where every one was familiar with your powers, only people unfamiliar with his race or at a distance ha trouble noticing the difference in his shadow. He wasn't able to get close to anything of interest, but it was an amazing feat regardless. The large and ornate looking room was empty except for one female that appeared to be human, the wood and wide windows always helped him clear his head. He began mopping the floor as he quietly observed her, she was playing on a pad of some sorts. He hadn't seen her before leading him to believe she was among the refuges they had picked up, probably harmless enough he thought curiously. Workin his way her direction he spoke softly hoping not to alarm her, "I don't think I've seen you around here before, did you just board recently?" It would confirm his suspicions and was always a fair conversation starter, if he was right about her origins then she was likely one of the most innocent people aboard. Something about the failed jump didn't sit right with him, he needed to find some people he could trust so that he could launch a proper investigation; he could be wrong but his job was to learn the truth either way.

Amarissa Amarissa tensed when she heard someone speak, taking all of her will not to jump and seem like a scaredy cat in front of someone new. Hell she was already an emotional roller coaster to deal with. She glanced up, smiling and quickly relaxing. "Hello. Uh, yeah. I'm one of the refugees," she replied, "I don't recognize you. What's your name?"

For the briefest moment the thought of a practical joke crossed his mind as she asked what his name was, he could tell she was already nervous however and let the inkling go. Leaning against the mop like a typical old janitor he replied with the simple truth for once, "my name is Ral-Zarrek... Currently the only ferogan aboard the vessel." His suspicions about her had been correct, she was a refuge and there was no telling what she did or didn't know. He tried to imagine what the poor girl must be feeling, deciding to keep the mood light he added "how are you liking our ship?"

Amarissa Amarissa smiled gently. "Its nice. I just wish I could see the stars more though. We're so close to them," she shook her head. "What's a ferogan, by the way?"

When she mentioned the stars he turned to admire them, "you'll be seeing more of them than you could have ever hoped soon enough." With a smile he turned to face her, "Ferogan are a race of shapeshifters that usually appear as large green humanoids." Knowing that a demonstration would be in order he slowly allowed himself to become an exact replica of the woman before him, he put on her cutest smile and gave a small bow. Then in her voice he continued the conversation, "I don't believe you told me your name."

Amarissa Amarissa applauded him as he transformed, flashing a cute smile she could have never pulled off without extreme effort. "That's pretty damn cool. And useful. I'm Amarissa. Amarissa King."

Shifting again to one of his more common forms he smiled, "it's a pleasure to meet you Amarissa King!" It appeared that her off world knowledge was rather limited, he remembered what it had felt like to travel among the stars the first few times; true excitement. "It comes in very useful if your enemies don't know what they're looking for," pointing to his shadow on the floor it was significantly lighter than hers. "If your ever looking for me or are suspicious of someone be sure to check the shadow," there were a lot of things one should know if they wished to avoid death. Leaning against the mop again he added, "I know it can be rough... If you ever have any questions or concerns feel free to ask, if I can't fix it I probably know someone that can."

Amarissa Amarissa noticed the shadow for the first time, nodding. "Thank you so much. That means a lot. Its been kinda weird being so...lost when for so long I've been competent."

Ral-Zarrek nodded with a smile, "I know exactly how that can be, when I first came aboard I had almost no experience with humans that wasn't violent." He looked down for a moment as he remembered the horrors of a useless war, "your lucky you came when you did though, you just missed the war that created this beautiful alliance." It had taken too long in his opinion, they all had their own unique abilities and qualities to bring to the table. Looking up again he forced the smile to return, "what did you do for work on earth?" He wanted to stay on positive subjects, she needed to be reassured not worried further.

Amarissa "Well, I was a soldier during the war. When we were in the camps, I kinda threw myself into helping our people the only way I knew. I was a scavenger of sorts," she said. "Oh, I've been rude, would you like a seat?" She asked, gesturing to the seat across from her.

With another smile he took the seat, "Soldier is a noble profession for any race!" It appeared that they had more in common than he had thought, he wasn't sure what to expect from the refugees. Human warfare was still something he was getting used to, "did you have a specialty?" Even when her way of life had changed she was able to adapt to the situation an prove valuable. With qualities like that she was going to fit in well, not to mention her friendly demeanor.

I am the shadow, and smoke in your eyes. The individual that would enter looked at first like a human male in his mid-teens. However, a second glance would reveal he was not human. Or even organic for that matter. His was pale white, and his "skin" was divided up by a number of seams, forming flexible plates that gave the boy his humanoid shape. His eyes, deep blue-grey with a slight luminescence, scanned the other two in the room, made a light whirring noise as they landed on the apparent male in the room, his gaze lingering on the man for a bit longer than he did the woman. There was a brief silence, then the boy walked over to the two, speaking in a youthful, but mechanically flanged voice. "Greetings." I am the ghost, that hides in the night.
