Achima Rybko
Silently and elegantly Achima walked through the courtyard, taking a moment to stop at each statue, her fingers running down the arms of the many heroic Mer-people from which they were inspired, examining the dark blue marble for any cracks or chips, frowning whenever she found one. As she finished her path she took a seat at the base of the oldest statue, looking out over the courtyard and enjoying the subtle peace of the empty place.

somebody help me figure out why this has to go here for formatting. please. Toby Anderson Toby wandered into the courtyard, waiting for classes to begin. He'd managed to keep himself pretty much in control this morning, but he hadn't seen anyone else yet. Which meant he was incredibly bored. Spotting a woman sitting on the ground beside a statue, he padded over. There seemed to be cracks in her skin showing some kind of orange earth or rock, so he presumed that this was the golem he had heard about. Golems are supposed to be quiet and slow, right? he thought as he hesitantly came up behind her. He'd never actually met a golem before, getting all his information from myths and rumors. So instead of trying to speak and interrupting her peace, Toby simply sat down next to her, watching the courtyard to try to see what she saw. I really hope this isn't awkward. She's a golem, she's not going to want to talk... right? ((OOC: Out of curiosity, are you still going to be using this account, Eve? ))

Achima Rybko
As her eyes drifted from one end of the courtyard to another they caught a small creature entering the area, fixating upon the small dog as it approached Achima and took a seat next to her. Thoughtlessly she reached out her hand and stroked the dogs head with a heavy hand, though not enough to cause harm to it. She continued to look over the area as her hand slid down the dogs' back, taking a moment before tilting her head slightly to face the puppy and asking in an acoustic and structured voice, "I didn't know there were dogs here in Atlantis, at least not normal dogs.". As she continued to pet the dog she occasionally lofted her hand up to wave away the loose fur, waving her hand with a speed and elegance that seemed impossibly considering the weight it held.

somebody help me figure out why this has to go here for formatting. please. Toby Anderson Toby felt the golem start to pet him, and he wagged his tail. His tounge hung out and he leaned into the hand. It just felt so good. Then he realized what he was doing. No! Dang it, stop! You're losing it, you idiot. He shifted away a little, trying to regain himself before replying. "I'm not a normal dog. I'm human, I'm just... stuck," he said lamely, speaking with his mind. Light, he wanted to be petted some more. NO. Stop, he commanded himself, shifting away another little bit to decrease the temptation. ((OOC: short pathetic post, sorry. I'm so tired emotion_drool ))

Achima Rybko
Despite the unexpected nature of the dog speaking Achima's face showed no surprise other than a small smile as she took a flap of the puppies fur between her thumb and forefinger and lifted him up with ease, eyeing him over as she comment "How odd" is a quiet tone. She eyed him over a bit longer before setting him back on the ground and asking, "You are a student here?".

somebody help me figure out why this has to go here for formatting. please. Toby Anderson Now that he had explained that he was really human, Toby thought everything would be fine. Then he was lifted into the air by his neck and twisted around to be inspected. He let out a yelp of surprise. "What are you doing?! Stop it, put me down!" His legs kicked about helplessly while she held him up in front of her. How mortifying. I'm going to just die now, thanks. At least there's nobody else watching this. When the golem finally let him down, he ran quickly behind the statue she was sitting in front of. He wasn't planning on letting her try a stunt like that again, the crazy woman. Only once he felt he was removed safely from her did Toby answer. "Yes, I'm a student. And no I don't appreciate being treated like a dog, in case you were wondering. I did mention that I'm human?" he told her testily. Yeesh. And here I was trying to be all polite and stuff. He shook himself, trying to get rid of the feeling on his neck from being suspended in air. ((OOC: ))

Achima Rybko
as the puppy darted around and behind the statue Achima's eyes followed it closely, waiting until it had stopped before resting her back against the statue, her voice attempting a mocking tone as she responded, "I see little difference in the treatment of dogs and humans, though you did appear to enjoy my stroking you" her lips curving into a smile as she continued, "Unless that was considered sexual harassment.". She laughed, warmly though slightly maniacally and and obviously forced. She was no good at jokes but that never stopped her from trying.

somebody help me figure out why this has to go here for formatting. please. Toby Anderson She's insane. That was all Toby could think after that little episode. Dogs are no different from humans? Sexual harassment? Was that supposed to be funny or is that a lame attempt at some sort of evil laugh? he thought worriedly. He wasn't sure he wanted to stick around here any longer. Then again, he was on the other side of a statue, and golems were slow. Wait, no, she'd had no trouble moving so far... Dang it. Toby poked his head around the statue to watch her, so he could run if she moved. Then he had a point to make. "So you go around petting and picking up everyone you meet? I'd say that could probably work for a sexual harassment case, yeah." There was nothing he could do as a dog, obviously, but he doubted anyone human would put up with that kind of treatment. I wonder if she leaves out little bowls of water for the students to drink from, he thought, his mind beginning to wander. ((OOC: ))

Achima Rybko
Her smile stayed in her face, the edges of her mouth cracking slightly before returning to their smooth, almost porcelain texture, "Though I believe sexual harassment requires I be a creature of flesh and reproductive organs. Unless you plan to file a complaint regarding the indecent exposure of some of these statues." she answered before rising to her feet with an almost weightless grace, "As for picking people up, I do so whenever-" she stopped mid sentence, seeming to freeze and take on an inhuman stillness much like the statues around her.
OOC:Totally forgot because my favorite artist did an art dump thingy and I had to have everything!

somebody help me figure out why this has to go here for formatting. please. Toby Anderson "No, actually, I'm pretty sure it doesn't," Toby said as the crazy stone lady stood up. Whether or not she had the ability to enjoy it, people would still feel violated and it would almost certainly stand up in court. If you got technical, anyways. Not that it mattered. Suddenly she stopped both moving and talking, right in the middle of a sentence. She looked just like the statues surrounding the courtyard, almost lifeless except for how detailed she was. Toby whimpered, looking around him nervously. What happened? Why'd she stop moving? What's going on? His eyes flickered from the woman to the statues and then darted around the courtyard, but he didn't see anything. ((OOC: No worries. That's exciting about your artist though. ))

Achima Rybko
She was completely still, even her eyes held the dull stillness that brought memories of death to one's mind, as minutes passed Achima still didn't move. Her stance appeared to be that of a lovers embrace, though missing the other to complete it, one of her legs parting the robe so that it only covered the very top of her thigh, her sleeves hung low revealing numerous cracks and poorly executed repairs done to her arms, her face almost resembling that of surprise.

somebody help me figure out why this has to go here for formatting. please. Toby Anderson Whining nervously, Toby stared at the stone lady, willing her to move again. Sure, she was crazy, but I didn't want her to die! he thought, hoping this wasn't somehow his fault. When she continued to remain still, he moved towards her slowly, wanting to help but still not wanting to get close again. It had been a whole minute, and she still hadn't moved. Gaining courage, he started to run circles around her, barking as if to try to wake her up. There's got to be something I can do. But he didn't know what. Stepping on her immobile foot with one paw, he reached up and bit the end of her robe, tugging on it and growling. "Wake UP, you crazy fool!" Toby shouted at her with his mind, as if that would somehow make a difference. She's dead. I've killed her. I don't know how, but I've killed her. Gosh, I've never been a murderer before. This is not good. This is really not good. In a last ditch effort, he called out again, hoping someone was within earshot who had some kind of power to restore her. "Help, help! She's dying, somebody help!" He didn't have much hope, however. He hadn't seen anyone but her all morning. ((OOC: ))

Achima Rybko
With a sudden decisive movement Achima broke her stance and scooped up the puppy in her arms, a large smile on her face as she looked at him, "Gotcha" she said in amused voice while her eyes focused on his wet nose. She took a moment before setting the puppy back on the ground before asking in a casual tone, "What is your name little guy?".

somebody help me figure out why this has to go here for formatting. please. Toby Anderson All of a sudden, the statue lady moved down and picked him up, trapping him in her arms. Tobuy struggled, barking, furious at the trickster for doing this to him. He squirmed and kicked until she finally set him down, and he leaped out of her hands as soon as he had the chance. Fleeing quickly back behind the statue again, Toby thought to her angrily, "Geez, woman! Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf? Don't expect me to ever try to save your sorry granite hide again." Then he realized that however insane this person might be, he was pretty sure she was a professor at this school. Crap. "I'm Toby," he answered, which was the best he could muster at that moment in terms of politeness. ((OOC: ))
