╔═════════════════ • ♣ • ═════╗ ☯Cadan "Shade" Law☯ ╚═════ • ♣ • ═════════════════╝ This is my chance. this one opportunity to show them. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Cadan looked up at the top of the head of his GM Command, fixing a small portion of the armor plating on the back a moment, closing the compartment. he took a step back and flipped a switch on the console nearby, as the lens activated the faint yellow glow of it lighting up the hangar a bit, he was the only one left to work on his suit, as the federation sortied most of the crew from his station. He sighed a bit and hopped down onto a lift clicking the console a few times so the automatic arms armed his suit with a beam spray gun and a shield. watching the process only gave him a small high, as he dreamed of fighting out with his friends, at the same time he also worried about them. He knew that there is always a possibility of dying on the battlefield but he didn't care, now he knew he could fight. and he wouldn't let anyone stop him. "this is my chance...." He said moving the lift over to the cockpit. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

S.Spinier
Spinier floated down a corridor of his Musai after suiting up in his normal suit. He had to remind himself again, it really was his Musai now. After the skirmish at the side 2 colony just under 24 hours ago. Char did two things that Spinier was thankful for, but almost equally surprised. Spinier, once a respectable Sargent, was now the rank of Captain. He glanced down at the gold double bar insignia on his uniform. He expected to earn this rank at some point in the war, just not before the war really began. Spinier looks back ahead as he approached the door to the mobile suit bay. Spinier couldn't say he wasn't anxious to see it, but he still kept on a calm relaxed face as he entered the bay. Upon entering he saw it, it was the first thing to draw the attention of the eye of everyone who came into the mobile suit bay since its arrival. It was Char's second 'gift' to Spinier. A MS-06s Zaku II Commander type. The mobile suit stood magnificently in the bay, Spinier's original Zaku I and Unit two's Zaku to next to that. Spinier didn't know if his new Zaku II was brand new or not but its paint job made it appear to have come right from the factory. It was painted in his new colors of choice. Black grey and silver. The legs and arm sections were painted grey and the armor sections of the legs, shoulders, forearms and torso were jet black. The interesting bit to the suit that Spinier didn't expect but could say he didn't find appealing was the silver. Which in actuality was titanium in its natural metallic color. The hoses of the Zaku were all custom built to be surrounded in the shiny metallic metal along with the Zaku II's boots and fingers. But with all colors aside, the most powerful and intimidating feature was the Zaku II's smallest piece. The horn. The horn on a Zaku meant more than just a symbol to show the status of its pilot. It was a feature that could strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. The enemy would see 100 normal Zaku II charge in and be cut down by over powering cannon fire. But it would be rare to see a Zaku II S to be shot down, it was rare for them to be seen compared to the normal unit. It's speed, power, and the potential ferocity made the Zaku II S stand in a league of its own. And now, Spinier had one of his own.
Spinier kicked off of the catwalks railing and floated to the open hatch of his brand new mobile suit. It was clear once he entered it, it had that new suit smell inside. He was almost impressed. Having a brand new MS-06s shipped straight to the what will soon be front lines and painted for him in under 24 hours. Either Char could really pull strings or the Zabi's really respect their ace pilots. Spinier looked over the adjusted controls and extra features. It was one thing upgrading to the next suit in line, but Spinier just literally jumped two grades of MS. He took this extra time before the operation to check and adjust settings, tuning it to his style of fighting. Part of him did wish he could test it out before the battle, but what better way to test a new suit than with live fire combat. Testing the screens, Spinier brought up a visual of the Colony on his left monitor. Being taken from one of the Musai's cameras. The moon was in the background and almost looked like Side 2 would be hitting that instead of the earth. Knowing the moo would be well out of the way by the time Side 2 did reach its point of no return, Spinier sees just how well this precise operation has and will be executed.
A short time later, Spinier finished his suits adjustments and fully activated it. Its powerful generator hummed to life and he got a chill in his spine from it. He's seen the stats, he's heard of its power and he's seen Char control a battle with it. But being inside the cockpit as it came to life, to really feel its power? Spinier had to laugh at himself. "And I stuck to the Zaku I when I could've had this. He snickered as he shut the hatch. The suit's monoeye activated and swiveled from left to right to test the camera. Spinier attached his helmet and shut its visor. Then proceeded to the Musai's vertical catapult after equipping a standard Zaku machine gun, a 280mm Bazooka on his back, and a pair of Strum Faust's. Sure there would be plenty of MS, saberfish and other federation units to fight. But Spinier's targets today were their ships and he was going to sink as many has he could in this battle. The red launch light activated in the catapult tub and counted down. Spinier would be the first to launch and Char gave him the opportunity to lead the first wave of MS into the battle, an honor he couldn't let go. As the count down reached its final seconds, Spinier took a deep breath and said...
"Captain Spinier, Zaku two S... Launching!"

Thomas Pryor Thomas entered the hangar and was looking at the row of Mobile suits, until he he found his. He had noticed the was another person in the hanger but he didn't know how to approach the guy, so he just acted like he was deep in thought as he approached his RGM-79, which had been equipped with a Beam Spray Gun instead of his 100mm machine gun for this mission. As he made his way to the cockpit of his machine he glanced back at the guy and the Mobile suit the guy was working on. 'I wonder if he's one of those arrogant pilots... there's so many of them...' he thought to himself Once Thomas reached the cockpit he turned his attention to his MS and entered the cockpit. He pulled up the computer and the key board and began running test on all of the RGM's systems. Everything appeared operational, but Thomas continued running tests anyway, just to be safe, he didn't like leaving things to chance. 'I never thought I'd actually make it to space... I just wish it was on better terms.' he continued to thing, starting to get slightly distracted.

Xian Yuan [RGM-79] After Xian's last battle, he was glad to be back in the his ship. As he laid on his bed for some much needed rest, he could still feel the rocking he felt in the Ball's cockpit, and the mixed sense of fear and adrenaline he felt at the time. I could have died so easily at that battle... he thought, giving him a sick feeling inside. He would do anything to protect his friends, but that doesn't mean he wasn't afraid to die, afraid like he was that time. Just thinking about it made him feel uncomfortable. Xian sighed loudly, got up and left his room, determined to walk off his uncomfortable feeling. He decided to go to the hangar, to check up on his GM which was badly damaged last time he saw it. He was relieved to see that it had been fully repaired, and he would no longer have to sortie in that horrid Ball again. As he stared at his GM, he noticed someone come in. A new face. He knew almost everyone in the Fanaria, so the sight of a new face must mean a new addition to the crew. He watched the stranger look up at a GM, and then enter the cockpit. Ah, so he's a pilot too? he thought. Xian was a very social person, so he didn't hesitate to go up to this new face and make a new friend. He walked up to the GM and jumped up, floating up to the cockpit and greeting this new friend. "Hey there, friend. I've never seen you around here before, you must be new. I'm Xian Yuan, a fellow pilot. Welcome to the Fanaria!" he extended his hand to the new pilot with a warm smile.

Glenn Retinozzi [RGM-79 GM]
Glenn, standing by a locker in the salamis-class ship Fanaria, attaching the last part of zipper on his normal suits' collar and sliding the helmet's glass visor. The happening back on the colony still shook him like it was happening that very moment, where he couldn't do much on stopping the massive weapon. The memory then flashed forward to when he brought that up after getting back to the ship. He apologized to the captain about it, and got jabbed by him instead, on the face for good. " Don't think too highly of yourself, you hatchling ! Riding a Mobile Suit made you feel like a hero, huh ? Well, you are NOT ! So quit whining ! You folks have done enough by keeping the casualty at 0... " said the captain back then. Still, Glenn gritted his teeth and slammed the locker door close, before going outside the room and went to the hangar.
Arriving at the destination, he'd notice that there were a few new units onboard. Eyeing the new GMs, he found Xian around one of the newcomer suit's cockpit. He'd then stomp his feet to the ground, propelling himself towards the cockpit, reaching for the open hatch with a wire gun. Catching on the upper part, he'd anchor his body to it like a frog, before asking. " Oi, Xian, you sure you're ok getting outside alrea- " he paused his sentence, seeing that Xian's extending his arm into the cockpit. Intrigued, he'd slide his view down and towards the cockpit's insides, and see the pilot at home. " Aah, one of the reinforcement pilot. Welcome onboard Fanaria, i'm Glenn. " he greeted, head almost konked to Xian's in his current position.

A large Magellan class warship passed the Fanaria at a cruising speed. With it, in a large spread formation was the bulk of the Federation space fleet. The Magellan was the Federations current flagship, the Ananke, General Revil's ship. Soon all the comms on every federation ship opened up and his voice filled their halls as he gave a short speech about the importance of the coming battle. The gravity of how devastating it would be if the colony successfully dropped. Once linking up with the rest of the fleet, the Federation forces held position between earth and the moon, thanks to the Fanaria's information it gathered, they had a little more time to prepare. The fleet waited at the projected intercept point of the Colony. The mission was to stop the colony at all costs but if not possible, attempt to do enough damage that it would fall off course and miss their headquarters in South America, Jaburo. After his speech, Revil gave the final word of good luck to everyone. The Operation would soon begin, marking the true beginning of the war.

Cadan jumped in the cockpit of the GM Command and took a seat, pulling up the console to his left and right, leaning forward he switched on the computers one by one, and checked the systems, each screen a light green popped up several more screens all flashing an O.K. signature. He seemed relieved that he'd done his own mechanics and supply, something you don't see often in pilots in the Federation, and it was something he was proud of, besides the point of being under command of the new recruits in the upcoming mission to stop the colony on its way to earth gave him a sudden shiver. Each of the consoles returned to normal now and brought up the regular systems, each counting off ammo and power limits, the energy remaining in his unit and the power output of his weapon and shot count. his suits percentage of remaining damage assessment checked green and the suits power reactor booted up, the usual noise that caused him to get giddy every time he heard it. He flipped the cockpit close switch and watched as the armor slid down sealing him inside. he looked over a moment observing his helmet, one of his own design, none the less he held it with pride and pulled it over his head locking it into his suit, closing the visor as it pinged and started up a HUD. a secondary little boost he'd included in his new design of his GM. It linked directly with his suit so he could keep up with its systems on his own instead of relying on the laggy time frame these suits certainly had when it came to assessing anything and everything.
The suit jolted forward a moment, and moved over to the other GM's in the hangar, its head turning to see a group of soldiers hanging around one of the units. the camera zoomed in to see what they were doing, taking a moment to observe the situation at hand. Causing him to laugh a little, he took the forward path instead of bothering them. "Think it's time guys, lets move.." He said into his helmet. the GM's speakers alerting the others of his order. His suit lined up near the launching platform waiting for the others. "and good luck out there. this will be beyond any of us, but if we band together and stay as one unit we'll make it through this...understood?"

Xian Yuan [RGM-79] Xian was surprised to hear the sound of someone talking through speakers, and turned around to see who it was. "Ehh? who's over th.. oh?" he cut his sentence short in both surprise and awe after seeing the new suit. "Wow, is that the new model command unit I've been hearing about? Looks impressive.. Well, guess we'll have to continue this another time." He says to the new pilot with a friendly smile, before hopping off the GM to float towards his own, saluting the new model GM as he does so. "You got it bossman!" He then reached for his GM and pulled himself in, seating himself in the cockpit seat. He closes the GM's cockpit hatch, turning on his GM and being greeted by the monitors lighting up, informing him of the suit's condition, ammo count, energy remaining, and other details. Even though they were about to plunge into the battlefield once more, he couldn't help but feel excited. He was surrounded with friends both old and new, and he was determined to protect them and make it out alive with everyone. "Alright guys, let's do this. And don't anyone of you die out there.." Xian says through the comms as he followed after the GM Command.

Glenn Retinozzi [RGM-79 GM]
" It's time, eh... " Glenn muttered, as they should cut their chat short and Xian already flew away. " You heard 'em. Let's survive outta this and stop that giant smoothie glass. Godspeed. " Glenn saluted to the GM pilot he has yet to get response from and swung towards his own GM, catching the open cockpit hatch, sliding in and sit down in a smooth movement. Fastening the seatbelts, he'd then push a button closing his front with a chunk of metal before lights began popping on his monitors inside.
Lines, tabs, and windows of light projects themselves one after another inside the cockpit monitor. Running the quick checks, he'd be glad to find no anomaly on his unit and that it's good to go. " Alright then. Time to stop that giant mass-killing zeonic housing cylinder. Let's sweep out those zeek cyclops while we're at it... Retinozzi Unit, launching ! " Glenn said, detaching his unit from the anchor locking it to the salamis' front top, joining the array of other EFSF such as the GMs, Saberfishes, Balls, and waited for the others from the Fanaria to form up before marching forward.

His suit knelt down a moment the boosters on its backpack moved left and right a moment, up and down, and ignited a faint blue flame pushing the suit upwards and detatched from the top of the salamis's topside platform with a slight jump, the boosters flaring slightly ignited as it moved to the front of the formation, following along with the other gm's that followed behind him. He looked through his monitors, on all sides he was surrounded bu the saberfish corps and other companies. all of which held formations and battle ready positions, it was an amazing sight.
What caught his attention was a large flash in front of him, the shine of the sun's glare off the side of an approaching object. It was massive but moving slowly, as more objects came into view. only small dots for now, even at maximum zoom. something didn't seem right about this situation. "all accompanying units, switch to private channel three, and keep in formation" He said switching his channel a moment later.
His mind wandered a moment, they would reach battle ready positions in five minutes, considering the enemy was moving ahead to meet them in combat. but some sort of pressure in the atmosphere bothered him, an object of this magnitude was fastly approaching, and all they were given was a fleet of ships and test suits. "xian, when the enemy starts firing at us i want you and glen to stick together and support one another, ill provide backup for anything you two miss along with thomas, a four man team, after that we'll sweep around and mop up the area near the colony and attempt to divert its path, if not destroy that thing."

Xian Yuan [RGM-79] As Xian detached from The Fanaria and launched, he looked around at all the other Mobile Suits and Saberfish that flew in tight formations. He's never been in a major battle before, nor has he seen so many ships and fighter planes, along with the newly mass produced Mobile Suits together, so the sight of it all was astounding to him. He smiled, filled with confidence as he found himself surrounded by so many allies, and he was determined to protect them all. As Xian looked onward, he saw it. Even though it was still very far away, he could tell that the colony was enormous. He slowly became terrorized as he realized the great amount of damage it would do if it were to successfully hit the Earth. He thought about his friends, his family, everyone and everything he cared about, and about how their lives rested on the success of this mission. Xian now felt a burden heavier than he ever felt before. "I.... I can't fail..." he muttered to himself, shaking as he gripped the controls tightly. His breathing got heavier the more he waited. Even though contact with the enemy was only minutes away, the wait felt like an eternity. Xian blocked out everything as he stared straight ahead. All the noises and chatter around him faded out which made his CO's orders almost go unnoticed, which Xian replied to with a shaky and agitated "R...Roger." Everything was quiet, save for the low, steady humming of the GM's engines and Xian's steady breathing. He was immensely anxious. As the moments that felt like centuries passed, they made contact with the enemy. It started with an exchange of innumerable missiles and mega particle cannon fire from both sides, which managed to catch a few ships and suits, resulting in massive explosions scattering all around. Next came the clash of Mobile Suits and fighter planes. Xian was extremely focused on the battle, filled with unbreakable determination to protect everyone, but also distracted from everything else by the great fear of possibly losing everything he cared about that haunted his thoughts. The first enemy that he saw was a Zaku shooting machine gun rounds aimed for a nearby GM that was distracted by another Zaku. "Oh no you don't.." Xian said as he quickly dove in the bullet's way, absorbing the shots meant for his ally with his shield, and returning fire with his beam spray gun which hits the Zaku's right elbow, causing it to shatter as the lower arm broke away from the rest of the suit. The Zaku didn't falter, as it drew it's Heat hawk with it's left arm and boosted towards Xian. Xian boosted back to make some space between him and the Zaku, shooting three more times, with the first two barely missing and the third hitting home as it hits the Zaku's shoulder, causing most of it to blow up. The Zaku remained still, perhaps paralyzed from the blow, and Xian pointed his beam gun to the cockpit, ready to pull the trigger for the final kill shot, but hesitated. "This... this can't be the only way.." he thought to himself as his mind conflicted over whether or not to kill. His decision was made for him by the GM pilot he helped, who gave the killing blow himself. "Thanks for the assist, friend. Are you ok? Remember, there's no room for mercy in the battle field.. hesitate and you die. Stay safe." He said, before boosting away to form up with his own squad. The pilot's words echoed within Xian as he continued to fight. "But.. there has to be another way than killing.." he said to himself as he boosted around to avoid mega particle beam shots from a nearby Musai.

S.Spinier [Zaku IIs}
Spinier's black white and silver Zaku II lead the army of Zeonic green towards the Federation fleet. The sound of Gihren Zabi's voice came through the comms of every mobile suit and ship, giving a valiant speech about victory and power. As the fleets closed in on each other and cannons prepared to fire Gihren and their entire army raised their moral 10 fold together "ZEIG ZEON! ZEIG ZEON! ZEIG ZEON!" Spinier may have been the only one not to chant with the others instead he gave his own battle cry quietly after everyone had finished. "Zeig... Zeon."He said as he gripped his controls. The Zeon army of mobile suits and Musai battleships charged forward and began opening fire. Yellow mega particle beams, rockets and machine gun fires began firing at anything and everything. Clean hits were followed by colorful explosions as lives of countless men were ended in a few moments. Spinier lead the first wave of mobiles suits towards the inside of the Federation fleet. Once breaking their line of defense, Spinier used his new mobile suits ability of superior speed and sped ahead deeper into the fleet. Spinier sets his eyes on a row of Salamis class ships and head for them. The Captain spots him, or at least thought he did. "Mobile suit ahead! Wait what? Is that a mobile suit!? I can't see it??" The Captain says, having trouble determining its black silhouette. Spinier figured he couldn't be seen clearly by them but he didn't hesitate to aim his 280mm bazooka at the bridge and fire off a round. "What!? INCOMIN-GAWWWH!" The round connected and blew up the bridge causing a chain reaction destroying the rest of the Salamis with all hands on board. In a calmer time, Spinier would of thought about the hundreds of souls he had just taken. But this was war, the next thing he thought was his next target. Spinier boosted down and under the next Salamis class ship and fired 2 rounds into his belly. One of the rounds impacted its generators and destroyed it. The next Salamis took notice of the destruction coming towards them. They began firing their cannons to the left where they believed the enemy to be. Suddenly Spinier's black Zaku appears from the right only 50 meters from the ship's bridge. He aims and fires his bazooka at near point blank range and boosts away before the chain explosion. Two beam rounds suddenly pass Spinier. His red mono eye turns to see what it was. An enemy GM. The GM approached in standard rookie fashion with its shield in front and in a straight line. Spinier waited till one shot actually came at him. He dodges, disappearing from the GM's sight. What!? Where did he?! The GM pilot exclaimed as he began to panic. A red warning sign warned him of a lock-on from behind. "NO!!!" He screamed, knowing he screwed up and it was over for him. Spinier went to holding his bazooka with one hand and equipping his machine gun with the other. He fired a burst of 7 rounds into the GM's back pack and thrusted off. The GM blew up in his shadow. As Spinier Headed for his next Salamis target. A saberfish squad flew in towards him. On his radar, two allied Zaku II's were following behind him. Spinier barrel rolls around the volley of machine gun fire that came from the jets. A bazooka round and machine gun fire flew past his suit and impacted with the saberfish squadron, leaving only one left. Spinier simply kicked the space fighter in the cockpit and moved on before a second Zaku round from his ally connected with it and destroyed it. Spinier approached the Salamis from the front but from below. He boosted at full speed towards the bow of the ship and aimed his machine gun and bazooka straight ahead. As he flew past the Salamis and its view he fired one rocket and a long burst of machine gun fire. The machine gun fire took out 3 guns before the rocket impacted with the base of the Ship's bridge. The explosion severed the bridge from its core and drifted apart a little before it all blew up in a great explosion. Spinier took a long pan of the fleet around him. The massive battle raging. He located the center of the fleet still a ways away. But he spotted what he wanted. Some of the fleets Magellan battleships He knew one of them would have the enemy's General Revil on board. If he sunk that ship, the war would end even more quickly than what is already anticipated. He charged ahead, this time letting his little makeshift Zaku team keep up.

Glenn Retinozzi [RGM-79 GM]
Glenn's GM kinda stayed not too deep in the front lines, as he provides covering fires with his rifle, intercepting allies that's about to get Sieg Zeon-ed. Despite the label as 'support' role, he also looks out for his own kill to make count. " Hm ? " he muttered, as a red blip suddenly pops in his monitor and warning sound rang inside the cockpit. Glenn would quickly bend his controls, moving the GM to the sides, dodging a musai's particle beam that would have toasted him from hair to toe if he were in his previous location. Back to his sniping job, he fired a shot, sucessfully dismembering a Zaku's arm, held high with a heat axe ready to chop a GM off in front of it. The intercept gave the GM more than enough time to use its own saber to slay the Zaku instead. " Owe yo.. one th... " said the GM pilot, before he regroups with its mates and continued to press on. " Anytime ~ " replied Glenn, though the minovsky interference would have jumbled the message like it did to his.
He'd then find an unusual chunk in the battlefield, a saberfish squad suddenly got decimated by a group of three Zakus, and one of them charging ahead, quicker than the rest. " That coloring... Is he trying to charge alone to the commanding Magellan... " Glenn muttered behind his targeting scope, noticing what looks like a powered up Zaku II with the very similar color to the leader back in the previous encounter. Firing a shot towards the predicted front of the Zaku where he's jetting at as the thruster moves smoothly forward, before then it would go into full throttle the moment after the trigger was pulled, and onward to prevent the zaku's charge. There's always chance that if laid unhurdled, the Zaku might be able to actually take it down. Almost impossible as it is, Glenn didn't like the "one dumb luck move, and the table's flipped" kind of risk be left unattended. He had some kind of hunch that the pilot's damn good enough to might actually pull the stunt successfully.

S.Spinier {Zaku IIs} Spinier charged forward doing simple randomized maneuvers all the while. He thrusted down underneath a pick beam which would've cut him in half if he was moving in a straight line. This told him that he was drawing attention from enemy suits now. No surprise... being this deep behind enemy lines, he was bound to make a notice in there. He took a mental note to stay confident but not become over confident, his new Zaku was honestly not making it easy to avoid that mistake. But he stayed focused. As he approached the Magellan, he braked and dodged a 180mm round from an incoming ball. Spinier casually shot down the ball with his machine gun before firing a bazooka round at the Magellan. The round flew directly at the bow of the ship and seems like a clean shot but a saberfish flies in to take the hit. sacrificing himself to save the ship. Spinier cursed under his breath before charging forward to get a closer shot.

Positroneidon Glenn Retinozzi [RGM-79 GM]
Glenn could only grit his teeth as he was already going as fast as he could, yet couldn't really intercept the Zaku's advance in time. It had taken out more allied units as it trailblazes its path towards the magellan while Glenn was still on his way. " Heck, that unit is damn fast ! " cursed Glenn as he brandishes the 90mm with his left arm and began peppering the Zaku's surroundings with it and vulcan, followed by a straight shot aimed towards the Zaku's front again to hinder its charge. With the magellan's armamets stll around, it was more than sure to shower the area that close to them where the zaku is with bullets, missiles, and main cannons, regardless of whether they were aimed specifically at the lone Zaku.
